“Lamar Noir is not directly a flanker of Lamar from my dear colleague and friend, Mark Buxton, even though I can understand that one could interpret this phenomenon. Moe decided that we should try something more edgy, more daring, and darker, however, not destroying too much of the DNA of Lamar. Even the naming was a bullseye, as from Lamar-to-Lamar CAVIAR we came up with the idea of Lamar NOIR, which rhymed perfectly together. The challenge was to wrap the fragrance into a dark, mysterious, and opulent coat. Transferring it from its “liquid gold” brightness into darkness, however with the warm gourmand notes carrying and embracing you during your fall into the mysterious black abyss. Here I have reduced the rosy floral part and added several powerful oudy, woody, animalic and leathery raw materials. After several trials Lamar Noir was finally born. The fragrance feels like wearing a warm black leather jacket. Very rich, opulent, and complex. The longevity and sillage are here absolutely amazing as they are highly important factors, especially in the Middle Eastern market, where I have been working since over 12 years. One simple spray in the morning and you are good for the whole day. This fragrance really leaves a dark tempting trail behind you and is a perfect match for colder days.” –Patrick Müller of LUZI

    The darker the better for me. I love what Patrick said about Lamar Noir “One simple spray in the morning and you are good for the whole day.”

    I haven’t tried the original, yet, but I plan on getting my nose on it soon. Steven’s description of this fragrance being dark, spicy and mysterious got my attention. Sounds like a nice gentleman’s fragrance for the winter season.

    It’s been a while since I smelled the original Lamar but I am aware of how much darker Lamar Noir is in comparison. To quote Patrick in the task of transferring the liquid gold brightness into darkness with still those gourmand touches from the first one I can see how that was difficult. Not sure if you can even experience the gourmand touches as this new version goes all the way dark depending on your skin. We are on colder days now so the timely release of Lamar Noir is highly appreciated. Steven mentioned he still gets the fruity start but surrounded by the dark undertones, an elevated experience. Not as zesty as the original Lamar but for the lover of the original looking for a more adventurous take. Original Lamar for spring/summer, Lamar Noir for fall/winter. I’m located in the USA.

    I own the original Lamar and this summer it’s been my signature fragrance, and when the winter came I switched on a darker and oudier parfume. Kajal’s idea is great, I take a wonderful more summery fragrance and I wrap it with warmer and heavier notes, making it suitable for the colder seasons.
    I follow Steven on TikTok since last year, he’s very professional and I like to listen to his reviews. In this review I liked when he precised that the use of citrusy notes on top doesn’t result in a zesty scent, but only makes it more elegant.
    I really hope to get this jewel, greetings from Italy.

    Patrick Müller’s insights into the creation of KAJAL Lamar Noir are fascinating! I loved how he described the process of transforming Lamar’s DNA into something darker and more mysterious without losing its essence.     I really enjoyed Steven’s review. I like that he stressed he sees it being suited for the colder weather. Tropical fragrances deserve to be worn year round.     “Bolder, adventurous and courages” are three words Steven used to describe Lamar Noir…

    And those are three things that I am NOT as a person haha. *But*, I would like to think that some of my fragrance choices often make up for the traits that I lack, or the ones I am too subdued to show.

    I often describe Lamar OG as the fragrance I love the most because it announces my truest personality in ways my introverted self does not verbally. And maybe, in this case, Lamar Noir speaks for the parts of me that I don’t possess, but wish I did.

    So if Patrick’s description of “more edgy, more daring, and darker” is true, combined with Steven’s description, then maybe I can start to become more of those things personally, starting with this fragrance.

    And for that reason, I would love to own it. To put it next to Lamar OG and Aican as my Kajal Holy Trinity.

    Patrick Miller’s mission to transform the original “liquid gold” into something darker from it’s original brightness and more mysterious and referencing “falling into a mysterious abyss ” leave me feeling very intrigued as I love the aspect of leaving a dark mysterious trail behind me. lol.
    As for Steven, what can I really say other than comparing him to a master mechanic who can really break down a fragrance for the masses. I’ve seen many of his reviews and as they say, never blind buy, but with Steven, I’ll know exactly what I’ll like vs what I won’t like. Steven knows my nose , so to speak. I’ve never bought something I haven’t liked from his reviews. He’s spot on an incredibly talented in what he does.

    I’m found of how you decided to combine two different reflections on Kajal Perfumes Lamar Noir , one from Redolessence and one from the perfumer Patrick Müller , in a singular experience for Cafleurebon readers , magnificent idea.
    The right way to start is with the Patrick Müller thoughts , and then go to Redolessence review:

    Apparently Patrick Müller interest in Lamar , and respects for Mark Buxton, the perfumer who made Lamar was the foundation of his work with Lamar Noir, he wanted to make the core darker, mysterious and opulent. By his words alone I can tell he’s proud of how Lamar Noir came to be , enigmatic fruity, leathery and woody fragrance with bolder personality .

    It’s striking that Lamar could go into such a different directions , from juicy tropical Lamar, to experimental Lamar Caviar , to rich opulent and darker Lamar Noir

    Other than the warm leather jacket connection with Lamar Noir what i enjoyed the most in Patrick Müller introduction is the natural and high quality raw materials , the balanced darkness information, and the amazing performance. Patrick Müller picked up one already great smelling fragrance and built upon it , and with the Redolessence contribution I believe I found a posh cold weather scent.
    Almaz is my favorite Kajal Perfumes fragrance

    It seems like Redolessence do have a lot of past memories with Kajal Perfumes, I do know the brand too , Patrick Müller I just found out about thanks to his introduction . Other than a gifted perfumer Patrick Müller is a respectful guy , interesting detail.
    Lamar Noir instantly triggered Redolessence good times tropical memories , cocktails , velvety warmth from the original Lamar, and now he’ll keep forging a lot of new ones with the compex leather, caramel and oud dominant , and with toned down rose counterpart Lamar Noir.
    Tropical fruits , leather and caramel are favorites of mine, let alone how Redolessence said Lamar Noir possesses a mysterious demeanor , exquisite pleasure I’d love to win.
    Kajal Perfumes strongly associate with the first Lamar so Patrick Müller words are more than descriptive i believe:

    OK, I’ve known for a long time that Lamar is a must-have for me, however this, this is my jam! I would absolutely love to wear this one, even in a casual way in the winter. Everything about Lamar Noir screams my name and I can’t wait to get my nose on this. What I took away from Patrick’s intro was this, “Transferring it from its “liquid gold” brightness into darkness, however with the warm gourmand notes carrying and embracing you during your fall into the mysterious black abyss.” I just adore this description of Noir, it really helps with the visualization of this fragrance.     My girlfriend is half Indian (from India) , half Arabic and she said when I asked her Lamar is a name that have a couple of meanings, one of which is indeed liquid gold, others are shimmering gold , the precious diamond that glows. The diamonds or liquid gold in Lamar are now enveloped with dark veil of leather and oud , i absolutely love what Moe Khalaf and Patrick Müller did , Lamar Noir is invading the senses Middle Eastern poetic invitation

    Lamar Noir is not just a high quality darker ingredients in the vain of the original Lamar absolutely not ! Kajal Perfumes and Patrick Müller have built unorthodox rich and opulent fragrance , admirable approach. Even Redolessence was caught off guard by Lamar Noir novelty smell.
    The not so citrusy fruity notes , gentle rose , dark leather and oud and the caramel combination comes as a reminder of how there are still brands like Kajal Perfumes and perfumers like Patrick Müller who still posses imagination, but also value wearability.
    My favorite Kajal Perfume is the original Lamar

    I always love Stevens fragrance reviews, and his review of Lamar Noir by Kajal is no different. He manages to not only break down the constituent notes in the fragrance well, but also the emotion that wearing the fragrance delivers. He is always honest and unbiased yet still conveys his personal opinion. In contrast to Steven’s content, I have not read or seen anything by Patrick before now, and to say I was impressed with his prose is an understament. He is eloquent without being to stuffy or condescending which is a difficult balance to achieve. You can also immediately understand his passion for not only Lamar Noir, but perfumerie in general, this is someone who has clearly found their calling, and as a fellow fragrance lover that excites me a lot. The great part about being located in the cold, rainy UK, is there is such a lot if the year I can wear fragrances like Lamar Noir. I can’t wait to get my nose on this one.

    Patrick Müller words made me think how often , at least lately new editions of already popular fragrances have little to nothing in common in comparison to the original version. I pleased to know Moe Khalaf made Lamar Noir more edgy and darker, yet Lamar DNA is here to stay. Patrick Müller is a perfumer I’m not aware of but if Moe Khalaf trusted him with the creative process of Lamar Noir he’s really good, there’s no way around.
    Lamar DNA, still fruity and tropical, but woody and leathery , the whole combination is a match made in Heaven. Little black dress category fragrance if you ask me.
    What appeals to me in Steven’s review is how genuinely amazed he is by Kajal as a brand , and in particular Lamar Noir , it’s not just a review he had to do, he enjoyed every single moment.
    Classy , delectable , edgy and a bit lustful at the same time, I’d love to win Lamar Noir .
    My favorite Kajal fragrance is Joorie, high quality spicy sweet rose, with honey, I like it a lot

    I’m very much picky in terms of the fruity and leather fragrances , and especially those that combine the two genres.
    Redolessence assessment of Kajal Lamar Noir brought me back to my childhood , and the family trip we had in Morocco.I became instantly attracted to the comforting gourmand smell of Lamar Noir together with carefully selected by Moe Khalaf and Patrick Müller other deeper and darker shades like the oud , leather, resins and the dance between delicious and arcane.

    Lamar Noir is a bit dark but comforting fragrance , directly influenced by both Lamar and also by the inscrutable opulent nature of the Middle East. It’s not just the great smelling aroma with tropical fruits, caramel and vanilla , there’s also woods , leather and temptations , like it’s part of a fantasy story.

    Kajal has been releasing gems lately, one after another Almaz , Äikan , III , IV , Lamar Caviar and brand new Lamar Noir seems to be a high karat diamond.I’m so glad I’m familiar with Kajal , the two I actually ordered are IV and Lamar.
    I have a penchant for high grade gourmand fragrances , from succulent fruity to smoky, leathery and woody, i like them all.
    Redolessence examination of Lamar Noir fascinated me , the fragrance is so posh , and the new black and grey flacon is so beautiful.
    The black leather , caramel and oud notes Patrick Müller used are welcomed departure from the first Lamar , the main reason I’m so intrigued. My Patrick Müller quote:

    I feel like Kajal Perfumes Lamar Noir is perfectly suited fragrance for like Redolessence said formal occasions but because of the dark tempting trail also for clubbing, maybe even dates. Moe Khalaf had a plan to make a dark and daring fragrance but not to destroy too much of Lamar DNA. Patrick Müller had the same thing in mind and result could be seen through Redolessence eyes and the described every aspect of the fragrance.
    Not sorely because I feel attracted to delicious fruits, leather and caramel, I enjoy the whole thing, the oud , the rose and the tempting wink .

    I’m fascinated by the love affair between the delicious fruits and caramel from one angle, and the more daring and dark leather and oud on another. There’s a theory that apposites attract and Patrick Müller work is the evidence.
    Since I haven’t been able to smell Kajal fragrances up until now Patrick Müller introduction and Redolessence video review would be my excuse to order a sample kit and dig right in!
    The intricate layering of palatable and edgy , maybe even naughty notes , plus the Middle Eastern narrative of exploration and adventure do make Lamar Noir sound enchanting and multifaceted.

    I think it’s interesting to go for something darker and yet incorporate gourmand! I would never have thought that. I guess I perceive darker as smoky or resinous or earthy. So this quote really caught my eye –

    Patrick snd Steven both describe the scent beautifully especially the difference between the original aNd this darker version. Original lamar was centered around zesty pineapple. The new darker version is a superb flanker after the introduction of the first one. I loved the original and recommended it a lot to my friends. I would love to try this one as well.

    It’s interesting how no matter who the perfumer is , Kajal never disappoint its fans.Kevin Mathys won the Art and Olfaction Awards for Kajal IV giveaway , ÄICAN is fantastic made by EPS Fragrances team and now once again Patrick Müller did wonders with Lamar Noir.

    So nice , modern multidimensional fragrance, sweet, fruity , leathery and flirtatious. Since Lamar is iconic fragrance personally I’m happy with Moe Khalaf and Patrick Müller decision to make Lamar Noir darker ,even edgy without destroying too much of Lamar DNA. Noir is a sophisticated fragrance with high compliment factor, can’t wait to see how added several darker nuances, particularly leather and oud changed the original DNA. Steven thinks the rose is still easy to detect, that’s a pleasant surprise .
    Dahab , Almaz, Lamar and Masa are my favorites from Kajal , all are in my possession , since compliments are so important to me i’d like to say out of the three Dahab gets me the most positive reactions .

That animalistic side of the fragrance also seems to provide edge to the fragrance which sounds amazing.

    What more to ask? Made by Patrick Müller exotic cocktail with oud , spices , leather variety of different gourmand notes like caramel and ripe fruits, exceptional materials ! I love the black part of the bottle with grey and golden ornaments , the black top and i love this house , Kajal III i own. Patrick Müller quote i decided to pull:

    The darker version of Lamar must be Outstanding and perfect to join me on these cold days! I love Kajal creations, especially their fruity ones cause I am not really fan of fruit notes but the way they create them are to me totally different and unique in my opinion, not loud and screechy! Lamar was first my love from this house and will be my first choice to wear in spring/summer time!
    I was very fascinating when I read from Patrick Müller’s description of the Lamar Noir how he transformed the Golden Lamar into a mysterious dark Lamar ” Transferring it from its “liquid gold” brightness into darkness, however with the warm gourmand notes carrying and embracing you during your fall into the mysterious black abyss”.
    Steven’s review was really helpful to understand more of the depth and how the notes of leather, oud, moss and amber elevate this scent into a dark, sensual and mysterious scent without to lose the harmony and the elegance of it!

    For Patrick to state “One simple spray in the morning and you are good for the whole day.”. That is a pretty insane to say so this fragrance must be a beast in performance. Also interesting to me that he doesn’t see this as a direct flanker to Lamar even though they share some DNA and also the same name. After watching Steven’s review, he mentioned that it is a unique fragrance, which can be hard to do when making a flanker because you always have to keep some elements the same otherwise it is a totally different fragrance which definitely clarifies what Patrick was mentioning. With fruits in the opening and leather and agarwood in the base it seems like a nice one two punch of Lamar and Lamar Noir for hot and cold. NYC USA

    The new fragrance is so special, yes it’s darker yet still so delicious i can feel it. I came to realization I need a Middle Eastern voyage , and I need Lamar Noir

    Patrick’s description in the intro as “liquid gold” brightness into darkness…” sounds right up my alley! I love the original Lamar and a darker, not-quite-flanker sounds incredible. Steven’s reviews are always so detailed and fantastic. He describes this one as fruity, with no citrus, and a spiciness in the top which makes me think it’s perfect for the colder weather.     I have a sample of this, and as Patrick stated, it is “very rich, opulent, and complex”. It is also very, very dark. It’s the inverse of the original Lamar. Rather than bright and cheery, this is one is gothic and near morose. It is oh-so sexy, though. As Steven mentioned, it does not take long at all for the darkness to rear its head, the leather and oud come in screaming from first spray. If I had to compare it to any other frag, I might place it in the same general ballpark of Montale Oud Pashmina or Aaron Terence Hughes Onyx, but with the rose turned way down and some black leather thrown into the mix. This is a bad boy, rock star fragrance. This is Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. Man, it’s some good stuff and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves dark fragrances, as it’s top of the line in that genre. Best of luck to all. I live in NC, USA.

    Kajal Perfumes fragrances I discovered long time ago 7-8 years maybe, and based on what I learned about Lamar Noir I’m intrigued once again.

    Patrick Müller really paints a picture of this intricate fragrance . What really grabbed me in his review was Lamar Noir extensive journey.The way it all started with Moe Khalaf wanting an edgy and daring interpretation of Lamar , still sweet yet mysterious. Redolessence speaks of dark opening , goes through green apple , caramel and leather , I’m keen on that.
    I also love the Middle Eastern market appropriate longevity and sillage , Patrick Müller was able to achieve the perfect balance between sweet, fruity and leathery on one part, and comfort and originality on another. Depending on Redolessence experience with the fragrance and Patrick Müller words I’m convinced Lamar Noir is a very special dark gourmand with lots of depth, and unique character

    Just by reading the article I visualized the exact same moment when Moe Khalaf and Patrick Müller were discussing Lamar Noir for the first time , through perfumer enthusiasm I can almost see the delightfulness in his eyes when if finally came out so great.
    There are other niche brands with luxurious boxes and bottles, Kajal actually delivers not just beautiful bottles but upscale refined fragrances like no other . My favorite part from the introduction:

    I’ve not tried the original LAMAR but the introduction of oud, wood and animalic notes and reducing the rose, certainly gives this fragrance a noir feel. Steven appreciates its darkness and spiciness.

    Moe Khalaf colorful personality only helps him move forward , I love the way he methodically plans every single detail of the future Kajal releases. The 4 Kajal fragrances I’m familiar with are Dahab, III, IV and ÄICAN. I’m aware that Lamar is considered by many to be one of the best fruity-floral fragrances ever made , I’d like to sample all 3 variations now the original, the Caviar and the brand new Noir .
    Smelling both good and unique is a must , still I was a bit worried by what Patrick Müller stated

    Thankfully reading the introduction once again and Steven review reassured me Moe Khalaf and Patrick Müller did not crossed the line with the edgy notes. The scent profile of high quality leather jacket , warm gourmand notes is actually really pleasing , not to mention how enthusiastic Steven is in his video .
    What actually moved me today is not just Lamar Noir sophisticated smell, but the whole experience , as usual splendid work from Michelyn and Steven, Patrick Müller introduction surprised me in a good way.

    It was not an easy task and it needed several trials still it’s easy to say Patrick Müller profoundly enjoyed designing Lamar Noir , and it’s delighted of the outcome.

    Unquestionably dedication is a must for the 21st century dire competition, and expectations are beyond high for everyone , in particular for high end popular niche brands like Kajal Perfumes.
    Patrick Müller actually feels the need to create and design the best fragrances possible, he has quality ingredients in his disposal , motivation and most importantly Moe Khalaf guidance , because with Moe everything needs to be perfect , he’s accepting nothing nearly right or good enough .
    Judging by the detailed introduction with Patrick Müller, Redolessence honest opinion and how ecstatic he is describing Lamar Noir all makes me feel free will sophisticated fragrance with fruity leather appeal is already on the market.

    He’s so speaking like a true artist, and definitely not like a salesman . I love how showed such level of respect for Mark Buxton, the perfumer who created original Lamar. It has been a pleasure learning about the idea of making Lamar Noir.     I enjoyed Patrick Müller introduction very , and I mean VERY much . Felt like he found pleasure in the making of Lamar Noir – revitalizing mixture of light and dark , such a delicious and leathery composition. He cooked a great one , no doubt about that . Of course Moe Khalaf box of surprises is always full, almost bottomless. What a gorgeous presentation Lamar Noir has.
    The other good news is that Lamar Noir is not like any other Kajal fragrance even though related to Lamar, the fragrance is already in my possession.
    Steven take on the fragrance made me think of cooking and later on attending a formal event, enjoying mybown Tropical Fruits and Caramel Mousse Cake while sitting on a leather sofa.

    These 2 particular phrases caught my attention from Mr. Müller’s description “ The fragrance feels like wearing a warm black leather jacket. Very rich, opulent, and complex.” That’s really intriguing as I have become more attracted to Middle Eastern style fragrances as I’ve progressed in my fragrance journey. Steven always delivers with his comprehensive review and painted a really excellent picture of this offering. Kajal is a brand I’ve wanted to sample so I hope to get this in my collection.     It could be my impressions only but I believe most people associate Kajal Perfumes with Lamar , the best pineapple fragrance I’ve ever smelled . That’s why I find Patrick Müller quote very important:

    It was a relieving to me that Moe Khalaf and Patrick Müller kept the DNA from being destroyed, Lamar Noir instead possesses a richer darker tint .
    What grabbed me the most today in no particular order a) Patrick Müller state of mind b) with Moe Khalaf guidance how popular the house of Kajal has become c) Patrick Müller and Moe Khalaf inventiveness d) their mutual desire to create rich ,opulent sophisticated fragrances e) how upscale Lamar Noir is with leather , oud , rose and different fruits

    Considering how knowledgeable Redolessence is , I’m surprised by his enthusiasm for Lamar Noir , thrilled as he ever been to say the least. There are so many good fruity and leather fragrances on the market right now, but creating not just good but also unique fragrance featuring the two is something major.I’d like to share my favorite part of the thoughtful intro

    Love, love and love again. It’s remarkable that Patrick Müller is thinking outside of the box , and with Lamar Noir he found the balance between wearability and originality.
    Like everything in real life some components of Lamar Noir are gentle like the fruits and the rose , some delicious like the caramel , chocolate , others like the leather and the oud i find venturous. The balance between the sweetness , and the leather I’m looking for the most.
    Patrick Müller is a perfumer i was not aware of up until now , Kajal Perfumes I know – Fiddah, Homme II

    I’ve always been drawn to the “noir/night/midnight” flankers of my favorite fragrances, and an looking forward to trying this as well. Having not tried Lamar By KAJAL in either the original or CAVIAR versions, Stevens review intrigued me to purchase LAMAR and hopefully it will be shipping soon. I’ve been experimenting with a lot of Middle Eastern oud fragrances, so the “The longevity and sillage are here absolutely amazing as they are highly important factors, especially in the Middle Eastern market, where I have been working since over 12 years” was a key point from Patrick that makes me feel I’ll enjoy this so much , that it’ll be a no,-brainier safe blind-buy. :)) thank you Steven, for bringing this House to my attention !!

    Let’s face it , whether it’s for dates , social nights out or a business trip to the Middle East every man needs a perfectly fitting tailor made suit , brown loafers and a fragrance like Lamar Noir. Moe Khalaf look on the first picture is impeccable.
    I like the beautiful color scheme of the bottle, oud and leather , delicious yet non-sticky grown-up profile with the tropical fruits and caramel Lamar Noir sense of refinery is tickling my fancy even more.

    So basically almost like a tailor himself Patrick Müller have put a tailor made slick and sophisticated black wool coat , on top of a again tailor made suit ?     I’d like to point out I’m don’t speak Arabic, but as a fragrance lover and Certified Master Bench Jeweler (US terminology, it’s called Master Goldsmith in UK) I’m super excited for Kajal Lamar Noir. The name Black (liquid) gold speaks to me because black gold is actually a more recent trend in the jewelry business , to put it simple black gold is the same yellow gold, but manufacturers use technology to change the color.
    In the past, black gold was the nickname for oil, especially as people who found it trickling out of the ground made a small fortune — akin to finding gold. Now black gold is the term that defines blackened gold. Black gold looks edgy and stylish, giving jewelry a fresh and modern look that yellow gold can’t provide , exactly what Moe Khalaf and Patrick Müller did with Lamar Noir. The fragrance shows the levels of excellence Moe Khalaf is always striving for. I’m genuinely stunned by Moe , he’s special.
    Kajal Perfumes is a brand every fragrance lover needs to know , it’s a must because of exquisite and alluring creations made from the best of the best ingredients , long lasting on top of that with help of talanted perfumers like Mark Buxton , bright prospect Kevin Mathys the recent winner of the Art and Olfaction Awards for Kajal IV) and with Lamar Noir with the talented newcomer Patrick Müller.
    I really like sweet fruity and leathery fragrance with an edge , and Lamar Noir checks all the boxes for me. The jewelry related name excites me even more. As usual the bottle look great.

    I love Müller’s desccription of wrapping Lamar in a “dark, mysterious, and opulent coat”, translating its “liquid gold” qualities into a inky tonality (“the warm gourmand notes carrying and embracing you during your fall into the mysterious black abyss”). He also makes KAJAL Lamar Noir sound both potent and tenacious. Steven highlighted the differences between the various Lamar fragrances, how Lamar Noir is suited to cold weather (that substantial leather accord), and the way this unusual tropical fruit opening isn’t bright and zesty at all. And of course his videos always show off KAJAL’s wonderful bottle design.

    As a Master Barber myself I’d like to say Moe Khalaf beard is always on point, i noticed again the nice cut on the picture with Lamar and Lamar Noir in his hands. Kajal is a great brand, big fan of Homme I and II , I know a few other fragrances, but not the the brand’s latest edition . I need to order some samples soon.

    Well structured two way fragrance episode by Patrick Müller and Redolessence , I like the more thoughtful overall experience I just had. I learned about Kajal Perfumes Lamar Noir distinct and complex scent , starting with dark leather, green apple and going forward with enticing aromas like rose and delicious fruits.
    My personal final flourish is the harmony Patrick Müller was able to achieve between between tasty , dark and seductive elements. I’m pulling out my favorite quote now :

    The combination of fruit, leather and Oud can be intoxicating. This darker interpretation sounds perfect for winter and knowing Kajal, this will be a beast mode fragrance that will last a long time. Supporting everything with some rose gives a bit of elegance to this profile. Really interested to check this one out!! I live in Chicago, IL.

    All fragrances can tell a story, some are passionate, some are sad and other do have a happy ending. There is one particular Kajal fragrance that will always have a special place in my heart, because to me it tell the best story possible . Reading about how Lamar Noir came to be was like déja vu all over again for me because i met my loving husband on Boyz II Men concert , the famous r’n’b and soul group while wearing Jihan . He … back then a total stranger complimented me with “You smell intoxicating” and the rest is history❤
    I have a keen interest in Kajal Lamar Noir because of Moe Khalaf cosmopolitan personality , and the delicious and sexy profile leading up to good memories . I like the seductive touches coming from the leather. I have a feeling there’s a synergy between Moe Khalaf and Patrick Müller , sharing the same dreams , vision and strive for originality . My favorite quote out of the introduction :

    Moe Khalaf has always been respectful and modest , looking to ignite the interest of fragrance enthusiasts.I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen Redolessence so uber exited, that’s a statement on its own. If he believes the juiciness of the exotic fruits , the rose and the premium leather are making Lamar Noir so addictive , i can’t even imagine how good it really is. Setting the bar higher and higher is what Moe Khalaf always do, he did with Almaz , Lamar , ÄICAN and IV , and now with Lamar Noir he raised it even more.

    I can emphasize to Patrick Müller words, I have the exact same attitude towards my work , hobbies and life, It often takes me several trials but everything I’m doing needs to be perfect .
    Redolessence was able to capture my interest with the very unique contrast between the edible and the dark and mysterious aspects , I’m even more interested now.
    My favorite Kajal perfume is Homme II

    Kajal Perfumes development is absolutely remarkable and their future is bright with Moe Khalaf being the captain of the ship. In my opinion they do everything right, top presentations , original and sophisticated fragrances made with highest quality ingredients, performance is great too. I know all of Kajal fragrances excluding Lamar Noir, and if I have to rate my favorite ones depending on my mood

    By the way is it just me, or Moe Khalaf is only working with dedicated, and motivated positive people? Patrick Müller is also the same type of person that’s why they clicked so well together. I love how Patrick paid homage to Mark Buxton, the perfumer who composed original Lamar.
    Back to Lamar Noir now , in my opinion by far the most anticipated fragrance in the community , and it’s not even close. Because of how popular Lamar is people’s expectations for Lamar Noir are through the roof . Imo Moe and Patrick were able to find a way Ideally match the tropical fruits and caramel with the edgy oud and leather. I wonder if even though toned down , like Steven I’ll be able to pick the rose in Lamar Noir, I hope so .

At the same time the house of Kajal is also famous for pristine quality fragrances , and without a doubt it wasn’t easy for Patrick Müller to meet Moe Khalaf requirements. The quote i like the most:

    Eternity is it , Lamar Noir sounds so deep and enigmatic, almost eternal. That’s why I made the connection with John Clare words, British poet I really like.
    I have a feeling during the process of creating Lamar Noir Patrick Müller had multiple of flavorful brainstorming moments , from the liquid gold , dark and edgy leather mixed with caramel , rose and different fruits , to Noir name and amazing performance.
    My takeaway about Lamar Noir from Redolessence and Patrick Müller is the overall sense of refinery and heritage . It appeals to me that Patrick infused the fragrance with his respect for the Middle Eastern culture and traditions.
    In light of Redolessence review and Patrick Müller introduction I have no doubts Lamar Noir is stunning.

    Rather recently i followed Redolessence advice to subscribe and participate in the giveaway, and I already ordered a few fragrances because of his Cafleurebon reviews and recommendations , one of which is Kajal ÄICAN , I also own DAHAB
    Patrick Müller and Redolessence revealed the similarities and differences between Lamar and Lamar Noir , and i believe the are not redundant by any means . Lamar Noir is its own unique entity and the fragrance Patrick Müller created is for those who want to elevate their fruity-leather game .

    So maybe full grain leather and caramel in addition to the core of Lamar …. Then throw in that quality oud and I just know this is heavenly. I need Lamar Noir like now lol. Little while back i bought Lamar from the house and it is slowly becoming my most worn fragrance , with Noir darker notes I’m not looking to replace it but for more edgy perspective.
    Steven said how leather side and the oud are giving Lamar Noir a more dark and spicy mysterious demeanor , and I feel tempted now .

    Coming from someone who’s used to designer fragrances and more simplistic reviews much like “The fragrance opening smells like …. the base smells like …. lasts….. projects….” I’ll have to admit my head started spinning by “Cafleurebon way” of doing things.
    Patrick Müller and Redolessence were able to trick my imagination into thinking of dark leather jackets and luxury desserts where the sweetness and boldness are perfectly dosed and compounded to alluring rose.

    I never ever thought I’d share such a memory on Cafleurebon, but thanks to Patrick Müller introduction and Redolessence YouTube video I remembered how on my last birthday in a French coffee shop, while caring the plate … I dropped the freshly squeezed pineapple juice and the Crème caramel flan I just bought on my leather jacket 🙂 Patrick Müller and Redolessence immediately transported me to the funny experience I had back then. My quote from the written introduction.

    I’m now beyond curious about Lamar Noir and the way it evolves.     I love how the things worked out for Moe Khalaf , the knowledgeable and humble guy who founded Kajal. Through a lot of hard work and dedication he was able to expand and develop to such a level , that now fragrance enthusiasts are trembling when there’s a new release.
    Voting in favor upscale niche perfumery, Kajal, daring approaches and aesthetics , and people mindsets like Moe Khalaf and Patrick Müller.
    In Lamar Noir I like the fleshy fruits , oud , leather and the dance between the European appeal and Middle Eastern mystical essence . Everything in Lamar Noir i find rich and inviting ,even the rose is part of the composition is slightly lower doses.
    Kajal is one of my favorite brands, intricate fragrances with unique DNA , always long lasting and with one of a kind bottles. Lamar I own, my favorite that’s why I was patiently anticipating Lamar Noir review on Cafleurebon.

    Kajal are crushing it , one hit after another Kajal IV last year won a prestigious award, ÄICAN was received well , and now i’m captivated by Lamar Noir , and I’ll try to express my opinion on the topic.
    I find impressive how Patrick Müller and Steven, with Michelyn help were able to merge elegance and darkness , Moe Khalaf expectations , the perfumer work ethics and artistry too.
    Even though my favorite Kajal Dahab and Lamar Noir share the fruity part the two are so very different, the playful and flamboyant Dahab and the edgy and leathery Lamar Noir. No matter the scent profile the two share the sense of exclusivity.
