Solstice Scents Headmistress conjured in my mind a woman who encouraged students to keep journals to record their life experiences and personal growth. She is an authoritarian yet displays compassion and understanding. She desires to know the pupils personally without prying into every detail, so that their barriers become nonexistent. The diaries furnish her wisdom, individualized direction, and aid for each student, helping them learn self-discipline while nurturing their self-esteem. This support helps them with creative expression and critical thinking, uncovering their skills and passions. Importantly to a encourage them to question preconceived ideas about themselves and each other.

Right from the initial spray, Solstice Scents Headmistress reveals her fruity notes of plum and the juicy boldness of muscadine grape skin. The opening is spirited and impressive, gracefully poised by a soothing trace of cognac. Headmistress, she draws you in, inviting you to get comfortable, maybe even share a treasured secret or two, along with your hopes and dreams. These notes set the background for what follows, tempered by structure, intensity, and nostalgia.

Solstice Scents Headmistress reveals her heart as she settles, showcasing a warm blend of spicy clove-forward purple rose with a sight touch of Rose de Mai, Moroccan, and Bulgarian rose to add body. Yet this is not a rose nor floral-heavy fragrance. Paper nuances and the suggestion of a wooden ruler compliment her, adding an unexpected mix that gives it a no-nonsense character, truly capturing the essence of a Headmistress.

In the dry down, Solstice Scents Headmistress showcases her quintessence, which features labdanum, a touch of grounding oakmoss, benzoin, aged patchouli, and tonka; these notes deliver a soothing, musky scent that lingers pleasantly on the skin. The nuanced sweetness and warmth, combined with the depth of resin and wood, create a cozy yet mysterious aura that feels engaging and polished. The exquisite mix of light resins and woods adds complexity, making it a fragrance that reveals new dimensions with each passing hour.

I appreciate how Solstice Scents Headmistress shows her reserved demeanor; she is not a perfume that shouts for attention but whispers her charm, making it perfect for those who appreciate elegance and subtlety. It is an exquisite blend that expertly balances fruitiness, spiciness, and earthy notes, a must-try for anyone looking for a complex yet refined fragrance with a hint of intrigue. Headmistress is beautifully crafted and conveys a different story to each who experiences her, because the story is also in her diary, which she shows to no one.

Top notes: Plum, Muscadine Grape Skin, Cognac; Heart notes: Clove bud, Purple Rose, Paper, Wooden Ruler; Base Notes: Labdanum, Oakmoss, Benzoin, Aged Patchouli, Tonka

  • Plum notes are so beautiful. The fruity notes paired with a paper and wooden ruler accord, so intriguing. I would love to smell this.

I’m very intrigued to try Solstice Scents “Headmistress”. It seems like a fruity, spicy, earthy, ambery fragrance, and I think I’d be very fond of it. I like all of its notes.

I like when Sandi describes it by saying: “perfect for those who appreciate elegance and subtlety. It is an exquisite blend that expertly balances fruitiness, spiciness, and earthy notes, a must-try for anyone looking for a complex yet refined fragrance with a hint of intrigue. Headmistress is beautifully crafted and conveys a different story to each who experiences her”. I like it that Sandi makes the point that it is a complex fragrance “that reveals new dimensions with each passing hour.”

I’m also very intrigued to try Solstice Scents “Headmaster”. I live in MD, USA.
