MONTALE Bubble Forever Review (Pierre Montale) 2024 + Carefree Days Giveaway

Montale Bubble Forever

MONTALE Bubble Forever by Olya Bar

Sunday afternoon. End of summer. It’s one of those lazy weekends spent with friends, lounging on the rooftop and taking in the city skyline. Conversations buzz around me—everyone sharing stories of recent travels and debating which restaurant to try next. But for a moment, I’m left alone with my thoughts, staring up at the fluffy clouds drifting above and surrounded by the sweet scent of flowers. I’m wearing MONTALE’s latest release—Bubble Forever.

Just like the name suggests, the scent is one big burst of delicious bubble gum, created through a blend of juicy pear, candied orange blossom, and Bulgarian rose. The opening is all about creamy, mouthwatering orange—bright, fresh, and luscious—before quickly transforming into that bold, unmistakable bubblegum note. There’s a subtle yet beautiful kick of jasmine and a hint of cinnamon in the background, adding layers of richness and depth.

The dry down is one addictive combination of sweet toffee, warm amber, and Montale’s signature musk. If you’re familiar with Montale, you know their musk is no ordinary base note. It’s quite recognizable, voluptuous, and leaves a big scent trail that lingers long after the initial spritz.

The fragrance is playful, optimistic, and flirty—a bit of indulgent fun bottled up. For me, the scent of bubble gum is like stepping into a time machine, pulling me back to those carefree childhood days when life was all about fun and adventure. That sugary, fruity taste reminds me of ripping open a fresh pack of gum with friends, competing to blow the biggest bubble, and laughing as it burst and stuck to our faces. It’s the flavor of innocence, youth, and freedom—a reminder of lazy afternoons at the mall, passing notes in school, and just soaking up the sun, without a care in the world.

Montale’s decision to explore this playful note makes sense—they’re clearly reaching for a younger audience, stretching beyond their usual niche consumer. If you’re an OG Montale collector, this might feel like a departure. There’s no sharp oud or heavy leather here. Instead, the rose and amber feel candied rather than overpowering.

Personally, I love it. I appreciate when a brand is willing to take risks and explore new directions, and Montale’s latest releases are a refreshing change for the lineup. MONTALE Bubble Forever is a playful, modern twist that’s bringing something new and fun to the collection, and it’s exactly what the brand needed.

Notes: Lemon, Grapefruit, Neroli, Pear; Orange Blossom, Bulgarian Rose, Jasmine, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Toffee, Musk, Amber.

Twisted Lily gifted me the bottle of Montale Bubble Forever where I am the Head of Digital Strategy & Communications but opinions are always my own.

  • The idea of bubble gum and as profile scent coming from Montale may have had some people wondering, but younger audiences and those that like kitschy notes, could appreciate the brand branching out from the typical perfume notes. This scent is different but still nuanced and sophisticated for Montale and any perfume connoisseur. It’s fun, sexy and youthful. That’s what stood out for me.

I love the description of Bubble Forever and how it is a different twist for the brand. It keeps the Montale signature musk but makes the fragrance playful through the notes of bubble gum and sweet toffee. It tried it in store recently and thought it was amazing. My favorite from the brand so far is Ristretto Intense Cafe but I would love to try this playful fragrance!

I concur with Olya, the last few MONTALE releases have been very distinct to what MONTALE usually puts out. You don’t see any new fragrances with the name Aoud attached to it anymore and they are exploring new territories for sure. Bubble Forever is exactly what you imagine, a melange of bubbly notes with fruits and florals combining to conjure up this feeling of bubble-gummy-ness. Vanilla, amber and musk always present to give that youthful, non-offensive and popular backbone that everyone comes to like. This is an easy-going, non-complicated, universally loved DNA. What appeals to me the most about Bubble Forever is the new direction MONTALE is going into and how trendy it is. I’m located in the USA.

  • I had my first in-person experience with Montale on my birthday two years ago at Neiman Marcus in NYC. I must have spent what felt hours at their counter, surrounded by Mancera, Xerjoff, Roja, and other exceptional brands. The sensory immersion was unforgettable, especially exploring Montale’s bold, signature fragrances. Reading about Bubble Forever brought me back to that day—Montale’s ability to evoke such playful and indulgent memories through scent is truly unmatched. I love how this fragrance explores a light, nostalgic note while still staying true to the house’s artistry.

  • Montale is such a wonderful Fragrance house. Always giving us so many great creations to choose from. Bubble Forever sounds like a fun playful scent. Fruity floral gourmand. Thank you for this chance USA

  • I love that Montale is not afraid to try a different direction. I try not to think of a fragrance as mature or youthful. Just like to follow my nose. Love the brand’s carefree photo of the fragrance. This sounds like fun in a bottle. Can’t remember the last time I blew a bubble. My favorite from this line is Honey Aoud, very different I am imaging from Bubble Forever. Thanks Twisted Lily for this giveaway. USA.

  • I love the reminiscence here, spurred by the scent. Bubble gum definitely has a youthful feel and Olya makes this sound like that plus a little something more layered that even us older folks can appreciate! I’m still experimenting with Montale.

  • I’m a huge lover of Tonka Cola. I’m excited to see something that’s not Oud heavy from Montale. I love the imagery provided and think Bubble Forever sounds charming and fun.

    I live in Texas, USA.

  • I’m a fan of Chocolate Greedy and Intense Cafe. I’m excited to see something that’s not Oud heavy from Montale. I love the imagery provided and think Bubble Forever sounds charming and fun.

I do like the idea of a bubblegum fragrance, this may not be what I reach for, but I could enjoy it nonetheless. I do not yet have a favorite Montale. I live in Oregon.

  • A unique sounding fragrance from any house but extra appealing wondering what this smells like with the Montale signature musk note. Boise Vanille is one I like from the house. US

  • I’ve never actually tried a Montale before, I think because they are known for being quite strong. However, I really love scents that are fun and youthful, but with a touch of depth and sophistication, and Bubble Forever seems to fit the bill. I loved the Olya’s line about it reminding her of opening a fresh back of gum. Sounds like a fun fragrance! I am from New England, USA.

  • This fragrance sounds just so delightfully playful. I love all types of fragrances but always love when a brand takes risks and doesn’t take itself too seriously. I can’t wait to smell this. My fav Móntale is Aarabians Tonka

    Utah, USA

  • The bubblegum note takes me back to preteen body mist and lip smacker times. It’s always interesting to see how a brand known for its sophistication and elegance handles something so different from their usual aesthetic. In Olya’s review she mentions the luscious fruit and floral heart that support the bubblegum note, ending in the signature Montale gourmand accord. Seems like great fun. Favorite Montale is Aoud Queen Roses. MD, USA.

  • David Furman says:

The notes sound nothing shy of delicious and I expect Montale to knock it out of the park with this style of scent getting away from the typical Oud and rose combo. This sounds lighter and a lot more playful than my usual choices but that is a welcomed change. This would broaden my horizon and help me continue my journey into the niche realm. From Jacksonville, NC.

  • AromaDulce73 says:

Oh this sounds interesting. Even though at first I thought this would be strictly for women I’m really curious about getting my nose on this one.

I love sweet fragrances and bubble gum definitely does take me back to my youth playing baseball all summer long. Then you add warm amber & sweet toffee, seems like a nice playful fragrance to add to the collection.

Favorite Montale at the moment is Arabian Tonka.

    Los Angeles Ca. USA

  • Great review and this is one to try out. I have only recently had the pleasure of trying Montale’s Boise Vanille as my first foray into Montale fragrances. Now, after reading Olya’s review here on Bubble Forever and Dark Vanilla, I am even more interested is exploring this wonderful collection. Olya commented that Bubble Forever also contains Montale’s signature musk profile which sounds quite enticing to me. It sounds like Bubble Forever will become a very popular fragrance for Montale.

  • What a wonderful write up! I love the playful notes. Bubble gum as one of the primary notes is very interesting. My favorite from Montale, hands down, is Ristretto Intense Cafe because the coffee note is so prominent. But I would love to get my hands on Bubble Forever because of your description of the drydown being sweet toffee, warm amber, and Montale’s signature musk. Gorgeous!
    I live in the USA.

  • madamepeace says:

I have tried Intense Cafe by Montale and really enjoy the sticky sweetness in it. I imagine this is a bit more airy, but I feel so taken back down memory lane thinking about hubba bubba gum and when you say competing to blow the biggest bubble! Bubblegum is such an uplifting note in perfumery. It’s so juicy and sweet and thick in a lighthearted kind of way. I love it! From Portland, USA.

  • FragranceIsMe says:

Olya, if ever there were a fragrance that represents pure unadulterated fun, this has to be it. I love how fragrance can effect one’s mood. The notes in this one have me feeling young and giddy. What wonderful notes. I’m looking forward to the joyful journey this creation has to offer.

  • I’m most intrigued by the “bright, fresh, and luscious” orange note here. The bubblegum accord sounds challengingly-sweet, but I adore the smell of fresh oranges. The background of cinnamon and jasmine combined with Montale’s musk also sounds warming for this upcoming cool weather. Whimsical bottle too.

I’m in the USA. I haven’t tried any Montale perfumes.

  • Michael Prince says:

I loved Olya’s review of Montale Bubble Forever. It sounds like an amazing new release. I love Montale as well and I loved reading how Olya enjoys this fragrance because it deviates from Montale’s traditional DNA and goes to a creative concept in the note of Bubble Gum with a sweet and fruity nature instead of Leather or Oud undertones. My favorite Montale fragrance is Intense Cafe Ristretto. I am from the USA.
