Navitus Parfums Cabana Sunset (Bertrand Duchaufour) 2024 + An Irresistible Giveaway

Navitus Parfums Cabana Sunset

As summer slowly draws to a close, there’s still time to savor those fleeting moments of warmth, perhaps with a luscious fruit cocktail in hand, sitting by the beach, watching the sun dip below the horizon. And while I’m not one to dictate that certain fragrances should be reserved for specific seasons, there’s no denying that juicy, fruit-centric perfumes hit differently in the heat of summer. Navitus Parfums Cabana Sunset is a perfect example—a mouthwatering composition that captures the essence of summer’s sweetest moments, lingering long after the sun has set.

Navitus Parfums Cabana Sunset, under the creative direction of Paulina Schar, Master Perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour (read Michelyn’s interview here) has composed the olfactive equivalent of a basket full of summer fruits, evoking memories of carefree days and sultry nights. The starring notes of this fragrance are lychee and strawberry jam. Lychee has seen a surge in popularity lately, and for good reason. Its watery, sweet, and tropical scent profile is utterly addictive, and it brings a refreshing, almost effervescent quality to the fragrance, much like the initial burst of flavor when you take the first bite of a perfectly ripe peach.

But what I love about Cabana Sunset is how it reminds me of a dessert that has become my obsession. There’s a local brunch spot near my home where I often escape for a hearty meal, and their seasonal peach cobbler is a dish I find impossible to resist. It’s a warm, juicy peach cobbler, its golden crust barely holding in the bubbling fruit beneath, served drowned in a rich strawberry jam, with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream melting slowly on the side. It’s the kind of dessert that makes your mouth water before it even reaches the table.

The strawberry jam accord in Cabana Sunset is rich and indulgent, adding depth to the fragrance, much like how the jam elevates the peach cobbler from a simple dish to a decadent treat. It’s a robust, full-bodied scent that lingers, making each spritz feel like a spoonful of dessert. And then, there’s the vanilla. Just as the vanilla ice cream in the peach cobbler adds a creamy, soothing element that ties everything together, the vanilla in Cabana Sunset provides a warm, comforting base, making it the anchor of the fragrance.

Navitus Parfums Cabana Sunset is refreshing and hedonistic, like the perfect summer dessert. It’s a fragrance that you can wear all day, from brunch at your favorite spot to a sunset stroll on the beach, and it will carry you through every moment with its captivating blend of fruits and vanilla. It smells of the simple pleasures of summer—those fleeting moments of indulgence that we hold onto as the season begins to fade.

Notes: Lychee, peach, strawberry jam, Madagascan vanilla, vanilla custard accord, green apple granita.

Ever since I saw that hot pink bottle making the rounds online I knew it was going to be a full on gourmand decadent treat for the summer. Like Olya, I don’t really dictate (or follow) the rules of wear this in the summer or the winter, I wear what I want when I want. Yes, fruits do stand out in the summer and that’s why this is a perfect fragrance for what little we have left of summer days. Reading the note breakdown, all you see is rich deliciousness waiting to be worn, calling out for you. Strawberry is a note we don’t see too often in perfumery so I’m glad if someone was able to bring out its richness was Bertrand Duchaufour. A hot pink scent for hot sweet summer days! I’m located in the USA.

  • Olya has brilliantly described a late summer fruity floral that sounds like a heady goodbye after one of the last warm nights. I’m particularly eager to smell the strawberry jam; haven’t truly bonded with any strawberry perfume the way we know we want to. Peach, roses, vanilla – this one really calls out to be worn, loved and appreciated by friends and non-scary strangers. Many thanks; I live in NY.

My favorite Navitus is Baklava Royale. I am also a big fan of Paulina Schar and her fragrances, so would love to try her new one. I am holding on tightly to the last days of summer, and Cabana Sunset would definitely help me with that, with its juicy, fruity notes. I am in the USA.

  • This is my first time hearing about Navitus Parfums, and Cabana Sunset sounds incredible! With lychee, strawberry jam, and vanilla all blended together, it’s making me crave a peach cobbler. I’m especially excited because I’m originally from Mexico, where we have a lot of lychees. It’ll be really interesting to experience that familiar fruit in a fragrance. Plus, the pink bottle is just as fun and sweet as the scent sounds. I can’t wait to see how it smells in person. It seems like a deliciously sweet treat, I live in USA.

  • I love peach cobbler. I think I need to make one this weekend. I make mine with blueberries since I’m allergic to strawberries. That custard note sounds delicious. I’d love to know what Bertrand does with these notes. I have not smelled anything from Navitus. Love that bottle color. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • I looooove when we go full gourmand. Unapologetically sweet and decadent, fruity and juicy. Lychee is one of my favorite notes in perfumery especially when wielded by a brilliant perfumer like Bertrand Duchaufour.

What I found captivating about Olya’s review was the bit about the cobbler and the strong feelings that a delicious dessert can elicit. For a fragrance to do the same thing is a real feat, so I definitely have to get my hands on this! My favorite Navitus fragrance at the moment is either Aweigh or The Key, very hard to pick between them.

    Happy weekend from Brooklyn, NY!

  • The bottle is so pretty!! I am 100% sure the inside is as pretty as the outside.
Bertrand Duchaufour Is one of my very favorite noses. His works are masterpieces.
I am excited about the giveaway but don’t think I will win. So many people are getting into that that lately that there is no chance.

  • I am in the US. Curious to see Bertrand Duchaufour‘s work here – he has a way with roses!!

Omg, the description of the bowl of peach cobbler, in strawberry jam and ice cream..makes me want this fragrance in my collection. Not to mention the color of the bottle. I would love to have this in my collection. I live in Orlando, Florida USA.

Omg, that description of Peach Cobbler and Strawberry jam and vanilla ice cream… makes me want to have this fragrance in my collection. Not to mention that color of the bottle, just gorgeous. I would love to have this one to add to my collection. I live in Orlando Florida, USA

My mouth is watering as I read this review. I’m thinking I want to bathe in this dessert like scent and share the fragrance with everyone I come in contact with afterwards. I don’t have a favorite Navitus fragrance, but this could be it. I live in Oregon.

  • kellyatwood says:

I can’t wait to get my nose on this! Olya’s review literally had me drooling thinking about a fruit cobbler with vanilla ice cream! I’ve only smelled Lost in a Dream and Absolutio so far from the house and have been very excited about this release!

  • jessica.rauch says:

I love the description of Cabana Sunset as a summer strawberry peach dessert with ice cream in the middle. Only my favorite desserts! I haven’t tried Navitus but I’ve heard great things and it’s been on my radar for sure! -New York, NY

  • FragranceIsMe says:

The notes of lychee, peach, strawberry, and vanilla have captured me and my wife’s attention. Sounds like such a wonderful gourmand. Plus, with Bertrand Duchaoufour as the perfumer, you just know it is going to be a wonderful experience 🙂

  • David Furman says:

I’ve recently become a gourmand lover and this here has a lot of beautiful facets that make this a standout. Lychee, peach, and strawberry jam accord in the opening sounds dreamy. I imagine a juicy ripeness that you could almost taste in the air. The vanilla and vanilla custard accord in the mid are two winners in the middle making this a safe and solid pickup. Vanilla is a great mid for this fragrance to rest on because it’s strong and balances out most compositions well. I’m unfamiliar with green apple grenata but it open to new scents and novel ideas. Please let me win, from Jacksonville, NC.

  • Peach cobbler in perfume form sounds like a perfect scent for late summer days. The addition of lychee and strawberry seem to add some complexity to the stone fruit and vanilla concoction. The custard note adds some creamy deliciousness. My favorite Navitus is Lost in a Dream. MD, USA.

  • whimsical diva says:

Ohh this review makes me crave a Southern peach cobbler now. Strawberry, peaches, lychees, vanilla … make for a fruity gourmand delicacy. I’ve been on a fruit kick lately, and I am certainly enjoying fruity gourmands more than the straight up sugar bombs that seem to be in vogue.

The color of the bottle is also so eye-catching! I’d love to enter the draw. I live in Northern California, USA

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the great writeup Olya.

Such a unique combination of notes. The use of lychee with it’s tropical freshness, peach and strawberry jam make this fragrance itnteresting. I find the vanilla custard accord and the green apple granita inteesting additions as well and would love to try this.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Well we all know how much of a master perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour is! I’m not much of a gourmandienne but I’m happy to be persuaded! This definitely sounds lush and fruity!! I am in California.

Olya has done it once again! Your description of the scent while tying it in with you favorite dessert has me reflecting on my own favorite dish. I love this! Thank you.

The fragrance is super delicious and so well blended with the juicy peach cobbler , strawberry jam and some ice cream touches . As far as I’m concerned it checks all the boxes, I’ll gladly wear it on dates, parties or concerts. Other than the modern masterpiece Timbuktu Bertrand Duchaufour is the perfumer behind Amouage Jubilation XXV, Penhaligon’s Sartorial, L’Artisan Noir Exquis ,Traversee du Bosphore , and Navitus Baklava Royale , Lost in A Dream and Absolutio, I know he did great again with Cabana Sunset .
From Navitus I’m happy to have Absolutio , Baklava Royale and Vivamor. I like Baklava Royale the most, but Vivamor gets me by most compliments

Cabana Sunset sounds like the perfect fragrance to enjoy in the lingering heat of September. Honestly, though, I would wear this fragrance all year, just like I would eat the peach cobbler Olya described so deliciously in her review. Anything with strawberry, lychee, and peach is just the thing to brighten up any day.
    I live in the USA.

  • That tangy combination of lychee and strawberry jam will be a blast to wear in the heat when in the mood for something fruity and whimsical. And that bottle certainly is an attention-grabber! A fragrance that wants to be noticed.

I’m in the USA. I haven’t tried any Navitus perfumes yet.

  • Wow at all the famous names working on fragrances for Navitus, I’m so pumped for Cabana Sunset . Bertrand Duchaufour is a famous perfumer for a good reason , I’m aware of Paulina Schar too , I follow her on Instagram and YouTube.
I like how Olya described the fragrance, delicious peach pastry with strawberry jam, lychee on the bed of warm and comforting vanilla.

  • The tone is so cozy and tranquil , i have a feeling Olya Bar was on a tropical voyage herself, or at least on vacation when she signed the article . I’m keen on like Olya said hitting differently in the warm weather juicy fruity gourmands, Navitus Parfums Cabana Sunset sounds great
Peach cobbler and vanilla ice-cream aroma brings back memories of my childhood , it’s like I teamed with Bertrand Duchaufour on the fragrance myself wow .
I do have a favorite Navitus Parfums fragrance, it’s Ambrosia Imperiale
Thanks for the draw, from the USA

  • Working with Bertrand Duchaufour is a major plus for Navitus Parfums , in my opinion one of the best perfumers ever. He composed multiple iconic fragrances for different niche and indie brands, and i really like his work with Navitus and their sub-brands Vivamor and Galleria Parfums.
Navitus Parfums fragrances are all made with quality ingredients, and composed by renowned perfumers, so no surprise here. I like Olya’s information about how Cabana Sunset was made , collab with Paulina Schar , the scent profile and its mouthwatering qualities. I haven’t smelled the fragrance yet, but Bertrand Duchaufour knows how to compose great smelling gourmands and because of the delicious robust, full-bodied raspberry jam and peach cobbler scent I’ll be happy to win a bottle.
If I have to rate my favorite Navitus Parfums fragrances , not counting Vivamor and Galleria Parfums:
    1. Soir Exclusif , also composed by Bertrand Duchaufour
    2. Serenade/Empyreal/Baklava Royale
    3. Exralt Nuit/The Embrace
    All profiles I already follow , @waltherp99bg
    Thanks a lot

Yes please , the bottle is exactly that, like a tropical island trip. Olya review was like a trip to Bali , with Lychee Martini cocktail in my hand , and peach cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the table.
I like Cabana Sunset versatility for such party like occasions, I can’t go wrong with raspberries jam added to one of my favorite Summer cocktails like fragrance made by a genius like Bertrand Duchaufour.
