Best Lipstick perfumes

Preface: Observed on July 29 every year in the United States, National Lipstick Day fetes the cosmetic that many of us revere. Although Nicoleta lives in Romania, and I live in the USA, not only do we share love for fragrance, but we share mad love for lipstick. (Michelyn owns over 80, stores them in a climate controlled environment and wears lipstick to get the mail !!!)  I have been known to hunt down discontinued colors (I am looking for you Kevyn Aucoin Dantique) the way perfumistas search the fragosphere for hard-to-find scents. To make our point about the connection… In 2002 Dior Addict perfume debuted and a lipstick line of the same name would follow. Nicoleta helps us celebrate National Lipstick Day by combining both passions.-Michelyn

Lipstick has always been my “catnip,” and I swear I can feel the happy receptors in my brain lighting up each time I tear open the foil and swatch a new item on the back of my hand. Only a fellow makeup addict can understand the ASMR tingle triggered by the click of a Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick, the satisfying weight of a new YSL LoveShine perfectly fitting in your palm, or the relentless quest for the holy grail lip oil with the perfect longevity, consistency, scent, and taste.  From the waxy “green” lipsticks that magically changed shades once applied that my grandma used, to the samples from the Oriflame catalogs in my childhood, to my cherished first “grownup” shade of YSL Opium Red (now sadly discontinued), the everlasting but drying KVD Lolita (that I have worn religiously for years), and the luxurious Chanel glosses I collected, I have a treasure trove of memories, nostalgia and emotions connected to lipsticks.

The sad reality is that, unlike fragrance, makeup has a short(er) shelf life, no matter how well you store it. After decades of excess and overconsumption I’ve embraced a more minimalist approach and to manage my makeup addiction without falling back into old habits, I’ve embarked on a new side quest to find the perfect makeup-inspired scents.  Compared to wearing makeup, where right now I seldom step out of my comfort zone of nude lips & winged eyeliner, when it comes to makeup – inspired – perfume, I am more adventurous and I take delight in every side of the olfactive vanity rainbow:  from powdery to creamy and from sparkly, girly, fruity and sweet to the dark, deep and vampy.

Etat Libre d`Orange Putain des Palaces (Nathalie Feisthauer) 2006:  (wine red shade)

Etat Libre D’Orange Putain des Palaces evokes the traces of dark vampy lipstick, the rustling of a heavy brocade dress, leather gloves, a light dusting of powder, and there she is- a sophisticated, take-no-prisoners-seductive woman who is nonchalantly wearing her beauty like a weapon, in plain sight. In the world of makeup, Putain des Palaces would be the perfect shade of wine red, paired with a dark cool cool-toned lip liner, a glossy gloss to finish off the look, and… a deadly appeal.

Notes: mandarine, ginger orpur®, raspberry; irisrose, rice powder, tonka, sandalwoodmusk

Isabey Paris Prends Moi

Isabey Paris Prends Moi, collage by Nicoleta

Isabey Prends Moi (Luca Maffei) 2019 (my lips but better shade)

Isabey Paris Prends-Moi (it means Take Me in English), and I remember, before sampling it, reading the “Satin Lipstick” note of the pyramid with my heart rate going up and my nostrils fluttering with Pavlovian anticipative joy. The most “modern” out of my choices, and the easiest to wear –  this is a glossy fruity texture, a satiny creamy lipstick note that never feels waxy or stale, and a powdery cloud with coca undertones. If you could care less about makeup, but love sensual florals with a twist, do give it a try for its contemporary take on tuberose. If it were a lipstick it would be that perfect shade of my lips-but-better that you could apply on, without thinking about it, no liner, no fuss, no mirror needed.

Notes: bergamotpink pepper, raspberry; rose, red Satin Lipstick, tuberose, cardamom, iris; cocoa, sandalwoodamber

Masque Milano L'Attesa

Rebecca movie still and Masque Milano L’Attesa, collage by Nicoleta

Masque Milano – L’Attesa (Luca Maffei) 2016 (just-bitten nude)

Masque Milano L’Attesa was the perfume that finally made me understand and love iris, with all the emotional baggage, nostalgia, ghosts, and faux memories it drags along. I went in the first time, fearing a thin-lipped-poised and icy-cold Mrs. Danvers, and found the red-blooded vision of young Rebecca. The sound of the brush, passing through her long black hair, the bitter cloud of powder, dusted on her ivory shoulders, her fingers, freed from the leather riding gloves, nervously searching in the drawer for that perfect shade of red lipstick, to finish up her look. If it were lipstick, this would be a just-bitten-sensual succubus shade. To die for – quite literally!

Notes: Italian bergamot, Moroccan neroli, champagne accord; Italian iris, French iris, tuberose, ylang ylang Madagascar; sandalwood Mysore, oakmossleather accord

Vermeil by Bienaimé

Vermeil by Bienaimé, official photo

Bienaimé Vermeil (Patrice Revillard) 2022  (old school bright coral)

A vintage bullet lipstick, a little bit dry, but still so gloriously pigmented.  Feeling the fuzzy texture of a Caron puff on your cheeks, and the nostril-titillating powder caress. The slightly bitter nostalgia of a tactile ghost: the special metallic heaviness of an intricately decorated mirrored compact, perfectly round, cool, and sleek in the palm of your hand. And it’s all here, in this gloriously vintage wonder, laced with rice powder, creamy sandalwood, and heliotrope. In makeup form, this would be the perfect bright coral-red old Hollywood charm choice, of course, paired with the most pointy and perfectly arched Cupid’s bow.

Notes: Carrot seeds, aldehyde, iris, violet, rose, raspberry, musk, tolu balsam, sandalwood, heliotrope

Cape Heartache by Imaginary Authors Josh Meyer

Cape Heartache by Imaginary Authors, official image

Cape Heartache by Imaginary Authors (Josh Meyer) 2013 (cherry Chapstick©)

Cape Heartache by Imaginary Authors captures the most realistic essence of an ‘90s Chapstick, (if you know the classic old-school cherry Chapstick – this is it). It starts with a sweet, nostalgic burst, but soon evolves into something much deeper and more complex. This fragrance tells a beautiful but dark love story, embodying the feeling of seeking pieces of a broken heart among the twigs and needles on the forest floor – and the scent transitions from the innocent sweetness of youth to the darker, more mysterious elements of a forest, making it a truly captivating olfactory journey. For me, this would be Laura Palmer’s Chapstick, forgotten at the entrance of the Black Lodge…

Notes: Douglas fir, pine resin, western hemlock, vanilla leaf, strawberry, old growth, and mountain fog.

Voleur de Rose by Artisan Parfumeur

Voleur de Roses, Artisan Parfumeur photo by Nicoleta

L’Artisan Parfumeur Voleur de Rose (Michel Almairac) 1993  – (dusty-rose-petal vampire red)

L’Artisan Parfumeur Voleur de Roses (translated as the rose thief) has stolen every trace of sweetness and rosy pleasantry from the bud, leaving us with a stripped-down, sensual thorny rose that vibrates on some kind of feral, low-humming frequency.  Besides the dark tannic wine aftertaste, there’s also an autumnal feel to it, smartly put into play by the plum note, that mixed in with patchouli, gives the effect of damp earth, wet, dark, sweet, and encumbered by ripe fruits fallen from trees, heavy with the sugars of decay. If there ever were a perfect overlay of a freeze-frame of a movie superimposed over a fragrance, this would be it: Bram Stoker’s Dracula – the rose garden after the storm, the smell of wet earth, broken branches, ruffled petals, the heavy smell of night, old buildings, stone archways, merging into one dense and memorable fragrant scene. And let’s not forget Lucy, hauntingly beautiful in the most perfect red nightgown and blood-red lips. The goth kid in me swoons with delight –every time.

Notes: Patchouli, Plum, Rose

Six Honorable Mentions: Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose (Ralph Schweiger) eyelash fluttering a what you see is what you get attitude); Histoires de Parfums 1889 Moulin Rouge (a vintage – almost “turned” lipstick accord); Francesca Bianchi Angel’s Dust (the best powdery boudoir scent ever made, IMHO); Wesker Deviant (beautiful, classical take on the lipstick accord); Terry de Gunzburg Ombre Mercure (that Robert Herrmann (R.I.P)  brilliantly described as “If Guerlain’s L’Heure Bleue had a wild younger sister who’s never seen without wearing her Doc Marten knee-high boots”); Juliette has a Gun Lipstick Fever by Romano Ricci (the modern, sexy and fresh raspberry note of modern fruity lippies); and Maison Martin Margiela Lipstick On for when you need a playful wink from a set of over-the-top fake lashes.

Putains de palaces for the win please. This is a unique genre and interesting draw. When I think of lipstick my mind goes to Dior homme original and the intense. These selections seem more feminine and I don’t have any experience with them. ELDO is a brand I’ve heard rave reviews over and I’d love to try. I don’t own a strong leather scent and I think putains de palaces is it. A strong solid base giving this juice some go and get up. From Jacksonville, NC.

  • Ramses Perez says:

Yes, iris is often times used in fragrances to mimic the lipstick scent and it really works to perfection. Orris root is another note used to get the lipstick scent and I’ve seen those 2 on some of these choices. I have really only tried Lipstick Rose by Frederic Malle from this list and yes, lipstick fragrances are usually powdery and have patchouli on it. Should I win, I’m leaning more towards Etat Libre D’Orange Putain Des Palaces as it’s a house I have wanted to explore for a while know. Plus the name of it, IYKYK. Cheers from the USA.

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

If I had to choose, I’d go with Prends Moi for the win. The satin lipstick accord has me enticed, as well as the combination of all the other notes combined. I don’t have a favorite lipstick fragrance as my collection is small and I’m fairly new to exploration. I’m beyond intrigued by the reviewer’s descriptions of these fragrances and am eagerly looking to explore some lipstick scents myself.
I have an abundance of lippies to choose from at home, and dread the days I’ll have to give them up to the bin. I enjoy wearing my lipstick to the mailbox as well! I feel mostly naked without.
    I live in Oregon.

  • SonneSweet says:

Nicoleta’s selections for National Lipstick Day are beautifully curated, each fragrance capturing the essence of different lipstick experiences and memories. I particularly love the diversity of her picks, from the dark, vampy allure of Etat Libre d`Orange Putain des Palaces to the nostalgic, cherry Chapstick essence of Cape Heartache by Imaginary Authors. Her descriptions are rich and evocative, painting a vivid olfactory journey that resonates deeply with both fragrance and makeup enthusiasts. The inclusion of personal anecdotes and sensory experiences, such as the feel of a Chanel Rouge Allure click or the bittersweet nostalgia of a vintage bullet lipstick, adds a delightful personal touch that makes the celebration of National Lipstick Day feel intimate and relatable.

I would love to win Etat Libre D’Orange Putain des Palaces.

My favourite lipstick perfume is Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose.

    I am from the EU.

  • LightOfJoy says:

Storing lipstick in a climate controlled environment? That’s smart, since it doesn’t have near the shelf life that perfume does. My current favorites are Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink (I like to create a matte ombre effect) and also their Satin Ink. I have a handful of favorite colors, but I don’t need the whole rainbow. I also adore Buxom glosses.

My favorite lipstick fragrance is Lipstick On. I know it’s right on the nose, but upon first sniffing it, I burst into tears in the Sephora, its opening harkening back so very clearly to a memory of my mother’s makeup set from the 80s. The poor sales associate was visibly uncomfortable with my emotional outburst, but I was too joyous and thankful to feel badly about it.

I’m not entering the contest, but I enjoyed reading the article. Thank you!

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

Isabey Paris Prends-Moi is my choice because I love touberose and when I see a touberose I want it! I am from EU

  • Patricia R. says:

Very good picks and different from each other. I would probably like twigs and needles foresty notes in Cape Heartache. Putain des Palaces is my choice for the win.
    I live in the EU.

  • I thought that they were incredibly unique and stylish fragrance picks. I would love to win Putain des Palaces. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU. I don’t really have a favourite lipstick scent but all these mentioned in today’s review really fascinated me and are for sure very exciting fragrances.

  • Lipstick Rose is my favorite of the genre. Oddly I can’t wear it as it turn different on my skin but Ai love it none the less. fB Angels Dust and Putain de Palaces are in regular rotation with me. This may be my favorite genre of scents. I would pick Isabey Paris Prends-Moi if I won. I Live in the US

  • My sister fell in love with Lipstick Rose years ago, and I have been on the search for a comparable scent for her recently. Thanks you so much for this article and this generous draw! From the sound of it, Prends-Moi is perhaps a step-up up! I live in NH, USA.

  • snowflake15 says:

I love lipstick perfumes! I myself am a Chanel bright power red. I love how varied the perfumes in this review are! I will need to check out the half I don’t own. I chose Putain des Palaces. Thank you for the Awsome article and drawing! USA.

  • First time hearing about national lipstick day, though the descriptions of each fragrance were very well described and totally understand why each one was picked for the occasion. Overall solid picks by Nicoleta ranging from pop cultural references, movies, and general feel. Honestly not too familiar with the phrase lipstick scent though from what I remember Frederic Malle’s Lipstick Rose was incredible.
If I were to win I’d personally choose Prends-Moi.
    From US.

  • Some fabulous selections !! Long live the lipstick accord! This was a hard choice but I settled on Isabey Paris Prends-Moi, Take me?! Ok I will (I hope!)
I do love an Iris and a Violet. And that middle ground of lipstick accord is so unique and so nostalgic. I can’t wait to try this one. Thank you so much for the article.
    I am in the U.S.

  • Laurentiu says:

I have never tried anything from Isabey and I must admit that the bottle is really eye-catching! A piece that would be in the center of any collection. Thank you!

  • As an avid perfume and lipstick lover, I really appreciated Nicoleta’s reviews and anecdotes. Putain des Palaces would be the perfect shade of wine red, paired with a dark cool cool-toned lip liner, a glossy gloss to finish off the look, and… a deadly appeal. Yes, this appeals to me and I love Etat Libre D’Orange. USA

  • Belladonna says:

Lovely article! I remember loving the scent of old school lipstick! Moulin Rouge is my favorite. There are some here i haven’t tried like my choice, Etat Libre D’Orange Putain des Palaces. I like how each fragrance has a lipstick shade. Thanks for the opportunity, in the US.

  • WillRhodes says:

I love fragrances that capture lipstick or vintage make up. In my collection I have two fragrances, one of them being the mentioned Lipstick Rose by Ralph Schweiger which I just adore, as well as 1889 Moulin Rouge Histoires de Parfums which is a sweeter take on this style with a strong presence of plum. I’ve also once had Lipstick On by Replica which was a slightly more vanillic take on it with the lovely note of Tonka, sadly this one is discontinued.
I recently sampled the four fragrances of Bienaime, and Vermeil and La Vie en Fleurs was by far my favorite, the two resembling waxy lipstick and a vintage darling vibe.
Putain des Palaces would be my choice for adding to my wardrobe a new addition of this fragrance profile I just love.
I will never not adore a vintage scent profile emulating lipstick and an old compact. xx

  • zazazelle says:

Oh, thank you for this selection and fragrance matching with lipstick shade! From your advices I know Lipstick Rose Frederick Malle (probably the best and most universal out there), Lipstick On MMMargiela (fun, for windy promenades), Cape Heartache (more about bubblegum than lipstick), Angel’s Dust (more about mimosa) and Moulin Rouge (don’t remember, but it was such a surprise for me, when I tested it).
I don’t wear lipsticks as red pomades, I wear mostly lipglosss, tints or childish chapsticks, so i like my lipstick scents similar – my favorites are Dreaming by Dzintars (uncolored chapstick of verbena, powdery freesias, stefaniotis and precious woods) and Nea by Jul et Mad (sticky gloss with pomegranate shade and aroma).

I would like to win Prends Moi by Isabey, as it is described more modern and easy to wear, I live in the EU, thank you!

  • I think that you can not go wrong with either of these two, but I had some years ago a decant of Putain des Palaces and I am curious on how Prends-Moi develops on my skin, because the notes sound absolutely gorgeous!
Many thanks and good luck to everyone!

  • roxhas1cat says:

I love that Michelin wears lipstick to get the mail. I didn’t know storage in a temperature controlled climate was possible. Love love love this article. I bought my first red lipstick last year (Chanel Alive). I don’t know now why I waited to long. I am late to the party of lipstick fragrances as well, just purchased Lipstick Rose which is my favorite along with Misia by Chanel. I didn’t think of Cape Heartache as lipstick scented, I have a sample which I will pull out to revisit. I would love to win Prends-Moi. It sounds fabulous and it’s by one of my favorite perfumers – Luca. Thanks for the great read. USA.

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the nice writeup. As a non lipstick user and an occassional chapstick user, this was a nice review to read.

I’ll put one fown for the Etat Libre d`Orange Putain des Palaces because ELDO always has interesting takes of fragrance genres and the rice powder note in this fragrance catches my attention.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • I love the powdery, rose/iris/violet scent of lipstick inspired fragrances. I have tried Putain des Palaces and it is an unabashedly feminine, carnal scent. I appreciate the hit of spicy ginger and fruity raspberry on top of the tonka, sandalwood and musk base with that heart of. rose/iris/powder. Would love to win this. Favorite lipstick scent is Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose. MD/USA.

  • Gender norms be damned, I like a nice lipstick scent. Nicoleta picked some wonderful ones to discuss here. Like Nicoleta, I appreciate the velvety and powdery feel that many of these provide. I’m especially fond of lipstick scents when they are created from iris and violet. That said, Putain Des Palaces sounds like it would be right up my alley. I read a review of this one that said it smelled both like royalty and the village prostitute. Count me in. Best of luck to all. I live in NC, USA.

  • What a wonderful journey to travel! I have tried several of the mentioned scents and am intrituged by the rest. The review of Bienaimé Vermeil particularly struck a chord: I still have that enameled, metal lipstick tube from my grandmother and the smell and exact shade of coral described here match it exactly. Took me back! There’s a great deal of variety here too, which makes it even more valuable an essay; taking notes!! I would pick Prends-Moi if I win and I livein the US. Putain des Palaces is my favorite lipstick scent so far.

  • I found Nicoleta’s selection of lipstick-inspired perfumes fascinating, as they beautifully encapsulate the nostalgia and allure associated with classic cosmetics. Her picks, particularly Putain des Palaces by Etat Libre d’Orange, offer a sensual and sophisticated experience that perfectly matches the vintage glamour of iconic lipstick scents. I’d love to be picked as a winner Putain des Palaces for its unique blend of powdery and leathery notes. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity! I am from France (EU)

  • Oh, such a lovely, stylish theme. Thank you Nicoleta for a wonderful read.
For long, lipstick was the first and only make up I was using. During the pandemics, I was very sad I had to wear the mask – no more lipstick!? I still put on some, even if it wiped out on the inside of the mask. I did it for me, for my wellbeing. Same as perfume – I put it on for me, for my own pleasure and comfort. My perfume should not please anyone else but me. Last year I had a shopping spree: three by Kilian lipsticks at once, because simply I couldn’t pick only one. They are already scented with one of his perfumes.
Long ago I managed to grab some Lipstick On, and I finished it before learning it was discontinued. It was wonderful. I also have Moulin Rouge, which transports me on the Moulin Rouge scene right away. Sometimes last March I had the chance to test Thomas de Monaco Raw Gold, and I am still thinking about it. I also enjoy Trussardi My Name, there’s a dash of heliotrope and black locust that makes me think of a nice, waxy, cherry red shade of the most perfect lipstick yet to be invented
I’d love to test Isabey Prends-Moi.

  • Beautiful choices!
Based on the reviews, I love Voleur de Roses, Artisan Parfumeur because it is a “rose garden after the storm, the smell of wet earth, broken branches, ruffled petals, the heavy smell of night, old buildings, stone archways, merging into one dense and memorable fragrant scene.”

Between the two, I’d love to try Isabey Paris Prends Moi because of its contemporary take on tuberose, one of my favorite notes.

I don’t know the lipstick category well, but I do like Lipstick Fever Juliette Has A Gun.

    Hugs from EU.

  • I dont wear lipstick but I love makeup scents. My choice would be Isabey Paris Prends-Moi because I am very intrigued by the notes, especially the cocoa paired with lipstick accord. And because Nicoleta said that it doesnt smell stale or waxy, which is a plus for me, makes me even more curious about it.
    Greetings from Romania, EU

  • Nicoleta’s picks are all wonderful. I now understand the connection with how lipstick and a fragrance can be compared. I remember my first Dior Red Lipstick so beautiful now that I think of it the smell was just as beautiful making it a special memory for me. Etat Libre D’Orange Putain Des Palaces would be my pick. Thank you for this chance USA

  • Max Corvinus says:

First & foremost, a beautiful review, dear Nicoleta. You never cease to amaze.

As someone who used to wear black lipstick a long time ago at Gothic parties, I used to host & DJ, I must say that I instantly felt the connection with Voleur de Rose by L’Artisan Parfumeur. This creation represents the type of women I’m into…

As a gentleman, I am rather impartial to lipstick, but would enjoy the idea of giving such a perfume to a lady whom I would characterise as sublime & darkly alluring.

Sadly, as Voleur de Rose is not an option, I believe that Putaine de Palace would work fabulously, but would need some careful explaining…

    I live in the EU

  • This was a nice and different post with lipstick/perfume picks. Isabey Prends Moi,as it’s stated, If you could care less about makeup, but love sensual florals with a twist, do give it a try for its contemporary take on tuberose.
    From EU.

  • Lipstick, lipgloss, lip oil, lip balm…whichever, I will always stop and swip the latest and greatest on my hand whenever I’m near a display. Nicoleta’s details on lipstick brands, textures and scents truly does rival her perfume knowledge. I’m impressed! I’m a traditionalist when it comes to lipstick scents. A powdery soft scent puts me in my comfort zone. Surprisingly, Juliette Has A Gun Lipstick Fever was a love for me with its raspberry note. Very fun and different for me! With these choices of fragrances, I would choose Isabey Prends Moi. The no fuss, no mirror needed feel of this one sounds like an easy to love everyday wear. Thanks for this fun read. I’m in the USA.

  • Such an interesting article! And I really find it fascinating how much I (and others) enjoy that “lipstick” note. To me, it’s such a strange scent, yet so attractive and alluring.

I would choose Isabey Prends Moi .

    I live in the US.

  • Fun list for National Lipstick Day, which I did not know was on the calendar, and should be good reason to deploy iris perfumes. Not sure it counts as a lipstick fragrance, but Maher Olfactive Waking Dream is probably my favorite. I haven’t tried most of these fragrances, with the exception of Cape Heartache, which I had never thought about as smelling like cherry Chapstick. Going to try it again soon with that in mind. What an interesting choice from the Imaginary Authors line; I would have expected O’ Unknown! Great read.

I’m in the USA. If I were to win, I’d choose Putain des Palaces.

  • JulienFromFrance says:

    Hi ! 🙂

From Nicoleta’s lipstick/perfume picks, I’ve liked how she displayed an introvert/extrovert contrast in each perfume :
    – on how each one is comfortable and soothing for our introvert side, for the skin deep comfort of our lips ;
    – and also how each one is projecting a different self-assured persona in its sillage, for our extrovert side, for our own pleasure and the pleasure to catch the attention of others.
Also I licked the different brands, that have been quoted. L’artisan parfumeur used to have “Drôle de rose” EDT, that I preferred to “Lipstick rose” of Malle (which I liked on paper strip, as a sort of joke).
Like the new shades of lipstick colors created each years, it’s also interesting how perfumers can endlessly create new perfumes. Rose, vanilla, violets, etc. always come in a new form.

I’d pick Vermeil from Bienaimé parfumeur if I win, please.

    I live in France.

Being a man, I love the lipstick facette of orris roots.
So my favorite fragrance with a balmy lipstick facette is “Iris silver mist” from Lutens. Its main accord has a nice buttery sillage, and it lasts!
“Hypnotic poison” EDT from Christian Dior also has a “glossy” feeling to it. It’s also easier to find. I emphasize on picking the EDT to that purpose, and to spray it on the fabric of your sleeve. Helped by the sandalwood smelling like warm milk, “Hypnotic poison” smells like sambac jasmine, with hints of vanilla pods and cinnamon.
I don’t dare to wear strong balmy violet yet, but I love the fun that I get from “Aimez-moi” from Caron, or in the highest concentration of “Insolence” from Guerlain.

  • aurora_ru says:

This is such a fun read, not only the article, but also the comments, everybody sharing their lipstick experiences! I love that men are also participating and I would like to remind that there is Dior Homme scent, not exactly lipstick, but perfectly smoothly powdery. Also I would like to add Misia Chanel EDT to the list, also very powdery and with nude lipstick.
From the list I quite like Lipstick Rose Frederick Malle and Lipstick On Margiela.
I would like to participate in the draw for PRENDS MOI ISABEY, please (I am in EU), because I really like what Luca Maffei is creating and this one sounds also easy bergamot-raspberry-tuberose mood, that does not take special looks and special ocassions. Thank you!

  • I really enjoyed Nicoleta’s lipstick and perfume picks! The descriptions were incredibly vivid, making it easy to imagine the unique characteristics of each scent. I particularly liked the comparison of Etat Libre d’Orange Putain des Palaces to a dark vampy lipstick—it perfectly captured the seductive and bold nature of the fragrance. If I win, I’d love to receive the 50 ml bottle of Putain des Palaces. My favorite lipstick scent has to be the nostalgic cherry Chapstick.

I live in Nashville, TN, USA.

    Thanks for the chance!

I enjoyed reading all of of Nicoleta’s reviews of lipstick perfumes. I especially loved her vivid and haunting description of Voleur de Rose. The goth in me loved the idea of a rose garden after a storm. I really want to search for this fragrance. I also liked her review of Prends-Moi. The raspberry and cocoa notes sound lovely. This is the one I would choose if I were to win the draw.
My favorite lipstick scent is Misia by Chanel.
    I live in the USA.

I thought that Nicoleta’s lipstick/perfume picks, were right on point. I used to be a big fan of red lipsticks, but since covid, I changed a bit and no longer reach out for my red lipticks instead i always wear some boring nudes and the same old lip glosses. I think this article have motivated me to go back to the reds and sexy lipsticks that I once used to wear and to enjoy this beautiful lip color again. The perfumes options provided this article are very awesome too, based on what I read, I’ll love to be considered for the Putain des Palaces from Etat Libre d’ Orange, commenting from Orlando, FL. USA

  • I love lipstick scents and I love Nicoleta’s review 🙂 , I am very curious about Prends- Moi. I’m from the EU

  • I think I wear bright pink and red lipstick best. My mom never wore it and I was soo intrigued by those small tubes with gorgeous colours and smells as a kid. Maybe that’s why i live lipstick inspired perfume. The Iris makes me feel so polished when I wear them. I would choose Putain des palaces by ELDO.
