Where Steven and I live, it has been unbearably hot! Steven and I co-curated three under the radar scents for this unique summer fragrances post, because we think each deserves more attention.  Each of our recommended scents are beautiful and unusual takes on citrus, tropical, solar, and floral notes from independent perfumeries. -Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling! (Bertrand Duchaufour): Indian born Creative Director Neela Vermeire in collaboration with Bertrand Duchaufour brings all the energy and color of a Bollywood extravaganza in this joyful genderless perfume that will make you feel like dancing in the streets. Bombay Bling with the most juicy mango note I have ever smelt, green and reminiscent of a mango lassi laced with cardamom. Currant and lychee join in for a bright pop of fruitiness. Kaleidoscopic florals at the heart- rose, ylang-ylang, tuberose, frangipani, and gardenia waft in perfect harmony and fill the air as you are magically transported to a colorful, wet and fragrant flower market in India. The woody mix of sandalwood and cedar sweetened by vanilla adding sensuality and spice. If you are looking for one of the most unique summer fragrances… you have found it. Bombay Bling! is a celebration in a bottle. Nothing smells quite like it.- Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Notes include mango, lychee, blackcurrant, cardamom, cumin, cistus; rose accord, Turkish rose, jasmine sambac absolute, Madagascar ylang-ylang, white floral accord of tuberosefrangipanigardenia ,patchoulitobacco, white woods, sandalwoodcedarvanilla

Rusty Vibes Antonio Alessandria Parfums

Photo for Unique Summer Fragrances 2024 from Antonio Alessandria Parfums

Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes (Antonio Alessandria): Created for ÇaFleureBon’s 10th anniversary as a limited edition in 2020 just as COVID hit and no one could travel and it sold out in weeks, so Antonio added to his permanent collection. Antonio Alessandria composed a perfume that is an very different from anything else in his line which are strongly inspired by his childhood memories of Catania, Sicily.  You can read his inspiration here. My favorite perfumes usually have strong vanilla overtones and here it is smooth, sensual and sophisticated, The balance between ripe creamy florals ylang-ylang, passion fruit and coconut are set against the slightly metallic scent of incense and patchouli (thus the rusty) at the drydown. There is absolutely nothing pina colada about Rusty Vibes, which was one of the most unique tropical summer fragrances I have ever smelled, from one of the most talented independent perfumers of the past decade. – Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Nicolaï Parfumeur-Créateur de Nicolai Neroli Intense best neroli perfume

Nicolaï Parfumeur-Créateur Neroli Intense photo for our unique summer fragrances 2024

Madame Patricia de Nicolaï, anticipating the creation of Nicolaï Parfumeur-Créateur Neroli Intense, traveled to Nabeul in Tunisia, to the land of citrus groves, searching for and exploring the diverse facets of neroli and the bitter orange tree.  Her experiences with the atmosphere of the harvest in Tunisia informed and inspired Nicolaï Parfumeur-Créateur Neroli Intense, one of the most unique summer fragrances if you are a citrus fan who wants depth and longevity. It’s as if the entire tree, branches, leaves and blossoms were captured. There is a slightly green feel at the opening, herbal with tarragon, that warms up at the heart with the photorealistic smell of ripening oranges. Madame de Nicolaï uses Pittosporum flower, (Japanese Mock Orange) that has woody/musky and orange blossom nuances that lead to a honeyed, woody base. Intense yet refined. – Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Notes: Neroli, mandarin, orange, tarragon, Pittosporum flower, orange flower, Petit-grain bigarade, beeswax, patchouli and musk

Available at Perfumology and many more stockists in the USA

Disclosure: Steven and Michelyn were gifted recently with Neroli Intense

I gotta say this is indeed a very unique list of fragrances as I know none of them truly. I’ve heard rumblings of them but never had the chance to try them. Bombay Bling looks to be a bazaar of different fruits and spices; Rusty Vibes does seem to be the stronger of the 3 and a very different take on a Pima colada. Neroli Intense showcases a different neroli note with the green backbone. I gotta say out of the 3, Neroli Intense is the one that looks the most interesting to me and the one I’d like to win. Also love independent houses as they are better priced and their perfumers do take the extra time and find the inspiration to truly create something unique. I follow cafleurebonofficial on IG and my username is Ramses.d.perez. Cheers from the USA.

Both Michelyn’s written review and Steven’s video review offer compelling insights into the unique summer fragrances they’ve curated. Michelyn’s vivid and evocative descriptions paint a sensory picture, transporting the reader to vibrant, aromatic locales. Her passion for the fragrances is evident, particularly in how she highlights the intricate blend of notes and the emotional impact each scent evokes. Steven’s video review complements this beautifully, adding a dynamic, personal touch that allows me to connect with the fragrances on a more intimate level. His enthusiasm and detailed breakdowns of each scent make the experience engaging and informative. Together, they create a comprehensive and enticing guide to these under-the-radar summer fragrances, making a strong case for their inclusion in any fragrance collection.

I would love to win Bombay Bling

I love tuberose and in first way I love Bomay Bling for touberose in wonderful combibation with frangipai and ylanylang. In same time I like Neroli by Nicolai beacause it is a wonderful neroli parfume for hot summer days. I am from EU

  • phuongmtran says:

My choice would be Bombay Bling. All three fragrances sound perfect for summer, but this one sounds extra juicy and joyful. I am in the US, and I follow your Instagram under phuongmttran.

  • WillRhodes says:

Thank you for another wonderful video Steven. I’ve been in the market for a neroli centric fragrance for this summer so inevitably ml Nicolaï Parfumeur-Créateur Neroli Intense speaks to me. I just love the idea of the photorealistic ripened oranges. Sounds absolutely mouth watering and I can imagine this one just shines in the heat.

  • All three sound absolutely amazing, but I feel that the one I would love most would be Bombay Bling. Plenty of spices and exotic flowers really give me a vibe of an oriental fairytale.
    Thanks! Europe

I wonder what Michelyn means by “unbearably hot” , it’s not that bad imo
    ☆ Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay
“Bombay Bling with the most photorealistic mango note I have ever smelt, green and reminiscent of a mango lassi laced with cardamom.”
    Wow 🙂
Special gratitude to Michelyn for the culinary reference
Being a Pastry Chef i’ll never forget how Ida once compared Mohur Extrait with Gulab Jamun , shout out to you too Ida ❤
☆ Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes
Since I own Amado Mio and Nuit Rouge I also sampled Rusty Vibes , like Michelyn I wouldn’t say Piña Colada too , but to me smells like the traditional for the Italy and especially for Sicily region cake “Cassata” , usually the locals call it Casatta Siciliana.
☆ Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Neroli Intense
For the lovers of photorealistic ripening oranges
Because of Michelyn alone , and her Mango Lassi take I’d like to win Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling

What a lovely trio of fragrances, all sound amazing. Based on the descriptions by Steven and Michelyn, I’d say Rusty Vibes is my favorite. The opening of this scent sounds pleasant and the dry down seems beautiful. Though Bombay Bling is something I’ll have to find a sample of as well. My insta is Eris.can.swatch.kaos and I live in Oregon.

  • Summer is already here, no doubt about it
Purpureum from the Fragments by NVC line is my favorite Neela Vermeire fragrance, fig liquor mixed with tea like biscuity sweetness, roasted coffee and rich dark purple leather, exquisite fragrance I can’t get enough. Bombay Bling is way more suited for the warmer weather, fresh mango fruity, floral and woody in a natural way.
Not sure why Steven believes it’s mostly a lychee fragrance, as Michelyn rightfully claimed the juicy mango dominates.
All Antonio Alessandria fragrances are true representation of artisanal perfumery, all reflecting perfumer inner piece and his whole life. Rusty Vibes is a creamy floral with strong vanilla, incense and patchouli, I presume that’s how Antonio Alessandria is envisioning the seacoast of Catania Sicily in the Summer.
New York Intense is a staple for me for many years, Neroli Intense is slightly green , herbal with ripe oranges smell.
Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes is my choice

  • As a gardener, I do enjoy a garden after it rains. Michelyn’s description of Bombay Bling sounds wonderful. Steven mentioned that it’s sweet, gentle and not overly sweet. Sounds perfect. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff. MI USA

  • My choice is Bombay Bling. I think Michelyn’s review gave me great summer vibes and it was a grand olfactoric opening for this summer season! The earthy backbone of Neroli Intense and the perfect balance of sweet notes in Bombay Bling really sparked my interest in Steve’s video review. I am an Insta follower, my name: insztagramekphoto

  • These three fragrances sound like they cover pretty much all of the bases and tick all of my boxes when it comes to the perfect summer scents. Michelyn mentioning a mango lassi with cardamom made my mouth water. Rusty Vibes sounds like an ideal beachy wear but nothing typical, and based off of Steven’s video, the juice looks so high quality and strong! I think Nicolas Neroli Intense sounds the best to me and that’s what I would pick if I were to win. Neroli has quickly climbed the ranks of my favorite notes in perfumery, and I can’t get enough of it. The greenness and honeyed characteristics sound like an ideal support system for the floral and citrusy overtones. Wonderful reviews/video from Michelyn + Steven!

    Good evening from NYC 🙂

  • Both Michelyn and Steven provided interesting reviews of these three fragrances. I found their discussions about Madame Nicolai’s Neroli Intense. Particularly, the green feel in the opening that Michelyn described. Interesting that Steven spoke of layering it with the fragrance he was wearing. If it’s not obvious, my choice, if I win, would be Nicolai’s Neroli Intense. I’m located in the US.

  • mmcalister says:

I have had such a hard time finding a signature summer scent that isn’t sort of basic or just more of what’s already out there so this is such a treat. All of these perfumes sound like magic. I’m partial to jasmine scents, so Bombay Bling especially might be perfect for me! Michelyn’s reviews were so concise and helpful especially for someone like me who isn’t so well-versed in perfume jargon. Steven’s video is also a delight and it’s honestly quite hard to pick a fragrance that sounds best to me. I appreciate that Steven really dissects each fragrance enough for me to make sense of the note pyramid and answers my questions about sweetness/longevity/etc without me even having to ask!

All in all, the Nicolas scent sounds most suited for me and it balances out my already jasmine-heavy, small but mighty perfume lineup. I would love to try it if I win this giveaway, and thank you for doing this!

  • Ellen Oliver says:

Always love Steven’s videos but I enjoyed the article descriptive nature and full note breakdown and backstory.
I think Bombay Bling sounds great ..mango is one of my favorite notes !

  • The written explanations of why these were chosen are concise and clear and also poetic, which is nice! Steven’s video review garnishes the written introductions with some extra angles. I also went sideways and read the inspiration for Rusty Vibes and that made me want to try that one the most! I love that it’s the CaFleureBon 10th anniversay fete! Plus it sounds amazing.

Olya Bar once said perfumes can trigger past memories and it seems like Michelyn Camen and Redolessence do have a lot of past memories with all Neela Vermeire Creations, Antonio Alessandria Parfums and Nicolai Parfumeur Createur. No doubt both will keep forging new ones with the future releases from the 3 brands.
It’s between a mango lassi with woods and vanilla , a tropical fragrance inspired by the perfumer childhood memories of Catania Sicily and the atmosphere of citrus harvesting in Tunisia, complex decision but I’m going with Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes

Thank you very much Neela Vermeire Creations, Antonio Alessandria Parfums and Nicolai Parfumeur Createur , and thanks to Michelyn Camen and Redolessence for the fine work

  • I love to travel just as well as I love fragrances, and I’ve been lucky enough to visit India, Catania Sicily and Tunisia basically all destinations that inspired the three underated scorching weather fragrances.
In the Summer I do prefer to have so tropical flair in my fragrances so Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling and Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes and my two favorites. I just can’t stop thinking of the mango lassi with cardamom, kaleidoscopic florals and woody mix sweetened by vanilla, Bombay Bling would be awesome

Love the idea of 2×3 mini reviews in one Unique Summer fragrances you should be wearing collaboration between Michelyn Camen and Redolessence.
Both were able to capture my interest with three beautiful and different Summer fragrances i don’t know.
Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling was crafted by Bertrand Duchaufour from the enchanting energy and colors of the whole Bollywood extravaganza. It embodies an joyful aspiration to capture the revitalizing vibrancy of delicious dessert, flower markets and sandalwood.
I can emphasize to the Antonio Alessandria ideas of a fragrance inspired by his childhood memories of Catania Sicily .
I’m attracted to the tropical and vibrant blend of ripe florals and fruits, incense and patchouli ,Rusty Vibes is a charismatic fragrance that could easily lift my spirits up .
Laid back green, herbal and woody fragrance is what I think of Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Neroli Intense
I’m enthusiastic about the unique tropical depth of Bombay Bling ,the fragrance i’d like to win the most.

Hard to choose; they all sound amazing. And while pondering this, I actually changed my pick. Stephen seemed to inadvertently give Nicolaï Parfumeur-Créateur Neroli Intense a slight edge and I love citrus fragrances. Michelyn call it, “intense yet refined”. I also like that the whole tree is in here’s because who can resist smelling a freshly broken branch? Thanks for the opportunity; I live in NY.

After the unbelievable, regularly melting the asphalt type of heat I’ve experienced while I was living in Spain ,the current temperatures where I live doesn’t bother me much.
Neela Vermeire equals top quality ingredients fragrances , usually created by one of the best perfumers out there Bertrand Duchaufour. I still need to try Fragments by NVC collection though
Party , bars , jazz music, a few cocktails here and there and contentment all are part of the festive Summer sensation coming from Bombay Bling. I’m happy to own one of Neela Vermeire fragrance called Trayee . I sampled it because of Ermano Picco Cafleurebon review, and decided to buy a bottle. To me definitely special occasions only fragrance.
Antonio Alessandria background story is remarkable, translating personal stories , not only from his childhood memories, but from his whole life span , into fragrances somehow related to Sicily , and this time the city of Catania, not so easy to achieve.
Rusty Vibes feels nostalgic , like a few different suitcases filled with memories. It’s ’s also lively, with creamy florals, strong vanilla and fruity elements. Gattopardo I own , Rusty Vibes is in my wish list now
Nicolaï Parfumeur Createur Neroli Intense is a first date fragrance, easy to wear pleasing and , Intense and refined
My choice would be Neela Vermeire Bombay Bling
    Another overly exciting giveaway, USA
    Regards

  • Thank you Steven and Michelyn for amazing reviews! Based on them, I’d choose Rusty Vibes Antonio Alessandria because Michelyn finds it to be one of the most unique tropical summer fragrances she has ever smelled and Steven thinks it’s an amazing tropical perfume with high quality raw materials.

  • Three great choices for summer here! My pick would be Rusty Vibes 🙂 I’m really intrigued byt the mix of floral and suave nuances that doesn’t get overly gourmand.
    Enjoy the summer!
    Greetings from Germany.

  • Jeffrey F says:

Thank you for showcasing these 3 unique summer fragrances! Bombay Bling’s vibrant mix of mango, lychee, and florals sounds like a celebration in a bottle. Rusty Vibes’ tropical and metallic notes offer an intriguing contrast. Neroli Intense’s rich citrus profile is both intense and refined – I have some bottles from Nicolai and I definitely rate this brand and the perfumer. Both michelyn and Steven’s detailed reviews highlight the uniqueness of each scent and really bring it to life. I’m particularly excited to try Bombay Bling for its joyful and exotic blend. I also follow you on Instagram – keep up the good work. Based in usa.

  • I haven’t tested either of those three, but judging by the notes and vibe, neroli would probably be my first (safe) choice. That said, I’m open to trying new things, and hey, if it works out I don’t mind wearing things that are “not me” too – it could be a nice surprise to find a new facet to your perfume personality.

  • I am interested in all three fragrances but my budget will only allow the purchase of one. I am leaning towards Rusty Vines as a start. Thank you for the opportunity.

  • I’ve yet to try any of these brands, but as a long-time Cafleurebon reader the names are familiar. Stephen’s mention of the lychee note in Bombay Bling has me very curious. Lychee is a favorite fruit of mine and something I’ve yet to smell in a perfume! Michelyn’s review of Rusty Vibes makes it clear that this is a unique fragrance, especially with the rust of patchouli and incense. Finally, who doesn’t love a neroli fragrance in the summer, especially one that lasts?

Of these three, however, I’d love to try Bombay Bling! Best wishes from the US

  • From the written portion it stood out that “…Rusty Vibes, which was one of the most unique tropical summer fragrances I have ever smelled…”. From the video that Bombay Bling couldn’t be recommended enough.
For the draw I choose is Bombay Bling. US

  • Shibuichi2000 says:

Summer is hot on this side of the world, also, so this post comes at the right time – I always find Steven’s videos very informative and love his clean, structured manner to convey his opinions.
All three sound full of colour and bursting with deliciousness – fruity, vibrant florals, spicy and exotic – and a very much welcomed departure from the safe freshies territory.
If I’d be so lucky to win, I think I’d like it to be Bombay Bling – this way I can travel to India, without actually leaving my airco apartment (I’m from EU).

  • ThatMulattoDude says:

Of the 3 fragrances mentioned in this collaboration between Steven and Michelyn, I was most drawn to Neroli Intense. After having tried Reflection Man from Amouage and Wood Neroli by Bvlgari, I’ve gained an appreciation of neroli as a note. I enjoyed how Steven painted this scent as a long-lasting citrus with body and the background inspiration Madame Patricia used in this creation, which was highlighted by Michelyn. I appreciate the content and the giveaway opportunity. Many blessings from Virginia, USA!

  • Want Bombay bling as I have a sample and agree with Michelin that it is more mango then lychee as Stephen says. I liked both reviews and Neela Vermeire Creations Trayee is really wonderful incense.

I know Neroli Intense by Parfums de Nikolai very well since I own it , the other two fragrances I’m not familiar with.
Among the kaleidoscopic florals, exotic mango dessert sweetened by vanilla, the sensual Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling, and the Italian tropical concoction , the sophisticated creamy ,ripe and slightly metallic Antonio Alessandria Rusty Vibes i would like to win Rusty Vibes.
    Thanks a million

  • If connoisseurs like Redolessence and Michelyn Camen are found of the 3 unique Summer fragrances they chose it’s clear they all all good, I’m more than interested.
All Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling, Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes and Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Neroli Intense are suited for the Summer times when rest , vacation and inactivity are planned, or you just need a time to think and clear your mind.
I ordered thanks to Cafleurebon a travel size of Trayee, wearing it is a pleasure and I’m getting noticed every time, Bombay Bling I believe will have the same effect in more vanilic tropical ripe fruits and flowers manner.
Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes in non Piña Colada fruity, delicious and exquisite.
Easy to wear and tranquil fragrance is what I’m expecting from Nikolai Parfemeur Createur Neroli Intense
I’ll gladly embrace another Neela Vermeire Creations fragrance , I’m ready for Bombay Bling

  • What an amazing giveaway! I would love to get to try Bombay Bling. I have never tried anything from Neela Vermeire, but I read and heard only fantastic things! Thanks!

  • I find impressive how Michelyn Camen and Redolessence were able to merge 3 under the radar yet unique fragrances , total of 6 impressions in one scorching weather article.
I think in hard to find a tropical fragrance that’s not synthetic, good to know Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling and Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes are not just unique but do smell natural too , rare exceptions i believe.
Even though the two new fragrances are different they still share the luxury vacation feel , one in India and one in Italy. The sensual vanilla harmonious flowers and mango dessert of Bombay Bling or ripe fruits, patchouli and vanilla Rusty Vibes? Tough decision to make
If I have to pick one … Rusty Vibes
Thanks to Michelyn Camen, Redolessence and for the giveaway

  • Thanks to Redolessence and Michelyn Camen reviews i started thinking about all kinds of warm and tropical moments I’d like to experience in the Summer
I first discovered and already sampled Neela Vermeire Creations first line of fragrances watching Redolessence videos , Michelyn adds a different perspective to Bombay Bling. I have to agree with Michelyn, it’s mostly a delicious mango and not lychee fragrance like Redolessence believes.
I’m now curious about Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes and the way it evolves. The contrast between the delicious fruits, jasmine , incense day and night, innocence and temptation is to die for.

All three of these sound excellent for summer, but I suppose I’m going to have to choose the Neela Vermeire because I’ve tested Bombay Bling and it is exquisite like Steve says. To be fair, the reviews of Rusty Vibes are hitting the mid-summer pitch perfectly with vanilla and ylang ylang, hard to go wrong there or with neroli interpreted as a greener note than floral.

  • All 3 Fragrances sound wonderful for Summertime. I’m most interested in Neroli Intense. Love the notes. Thank you for this chance USA

  • Yes it’s hot but still manageable.
I love the mango lassi laced with cardamom inspiration behind Bombay Bling . Neela Vermeire and Bertrand Duchaufour were was able to achieve the perfect balance between sweet, woody and floral on one part, and comfort and originality on another.
Depending on Michelyn Camen and Redolessence experience with the fragrance I’m convinced Rusty Vibes is a very special vanilla fragrance with lots of depth, and unique nothing like pina colada character.
Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Neroli Intense smells like the city of Nabeul in Tunisia, the city of citrus groves ,Intense yet refined.
I’m keen on Sicilian and uniquely tropical Rusty Vibes
Thanks for the draw, from the USA

  • Vibrant and juicy unique Summer fragrances reviews ! Redolessence and Michelyn Camen took me to a Summer trip to Mediterranean seacoast, white linen dresses, slippers, maybe a few cocktails, tranquil experience made out of variety of delicious fruits, ripe flowers and citrus groves.
I’m interested in the rich floral depth , the strong vanilla overtones, incense and patchouli properties of Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes
    Thank you kindly, from EU

  • Certainly glad that Michelyn enjoys the mango in Bombay Bling because so do I! A very realistic accord indeed. Didn’t know that the metallic incense in Rusty Vibes gave it its name either. As for Neroli Intense, it’s still in my top 3 favourite nerolis of all time, as well as my top 3 from the brand. Couldn’t agree more with Michelyn’s take; and how Patricia used the petitgrain is nothing short of brilliant. Steven is right about the earthy tones in the base too. I do love layering citruses in the summer, but the harmony in Neroli Intense always makes me feel guilty doing it. lol It’s such a great fragrance on its own, along with L’eau Mixte in the heat! 😉 That one a little more aromatic. But I will be giving Rusty Vibes a try! Following on IG. My pick – Neroli Intense. From Canada.

  • I am a fan of Neela Vermeire. I have sampled several of her fragrances, including Bombay Bling and am impressed by how well she blends such complex notes and accords so seamlessly. As Michelyn noted, Bombay Bling has such a realistic and juicy mango note that combines so well with the additional fruits, spices and indolic flowers. I appreciate how Steven breaks down each scent to relate how it unfolds on skin. MD, USA.

I do know well Nikolaï Parfemeur Createur but the other two brands I knew nothing about, thanks to Michelyn Camen and Redolessence I became a bit better acquainted with Neela Vermeire Creations and Antonio Alessandria Parfums.
In Bombay Bling I like Neela Vermeire Indian heritage affinity with mango lassi laced with cardamom dessert and lush tropical fruits combination.
In Rusty Vibes i like Antonio Alessandria decision to integrate floral density and ripe fruits with incense , my choice if i win

  • What a selection! I’m especially intrigued by Rusty Vibes. I’m really intrigued by the rusty tones Michelyn mentioned. I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced patchouli and incense give off a rusty vibe before and would love to see what its about. Steven said the fragrance was phenomenal as well, so it certainly sounds like a winner. Needless to say, Rusty Vibes would be my choice should I be chosen. Best of luck to all. I live in NC, USA.

Interestingly enough I know and own fragrances by all Neela Vermeire Creations – Trayee, Antonio Alessandria Parfums – Noir Obscure and Nicolai Parfumeur Createur – Cuir Cuba Intense , yet I don’t know all 3 Summer recommendations by Michelyn and Steven.
Bombay Bling is a mixture of kaleidoscopic florals at the heart, vanilla and juicy mango that reminded Michelyn of exotic dessert like mango lassi laced with cardamom.
The incense and patchouli on top of variety of ripe fruits characteristics of Rusty Vibes I find quite attractive.
Versatile all seasons, all situations fragrance is what think of Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Neroli Intense.
If lucky I’d like to win Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes
Thank you Michelyn, Steven, Neela Vermeire Creations, Antonio Alessandria Parfums, Nicolai Parfumeur Createur
    USA

  • Love the Summer classicism coming from the co-curated list by Michelyn Camen and Redolessence , job well done
I find Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling delightful for the delicious Indian dessert with cardamom, lychee, rose and frangipani, sandalwood and senual vanilla , and Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes for the Sicilian leisurely grace , strong vanilla overtones , creamy florals and coconut .
More herbal, green neroli fragrances like Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Neroli Intense i personality like to wear in the Spring and Fall when it’s raining.
I would ever slightly prefer Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling
EU , thank you very much

  • Oh they all sounds so lovely for summer! Steven had me with rusty vibes when he mentioned coconut and passionfruit, yet I so love me a neroli, orange blossom intense…. and Bombay Bling does sound lovely.
As for the heat in nyc, send some to seattle, where I am waiting impatiently for Jun-uary to end and summer begin! I think I would prefer Neroli Intense were I to win, thank you again for these reviews and for the great give away! I’m zibbyz3402 on Steven’s channel. Thank you!

  • Kevin Durrell says:

Bombay Bling sounds the most interesting but the other two sound very intriguing also. When it comes to a summer scent I like something sweet and fruity yet with some spice to make it interesting for the dry down.

  • Happy_Coco says:

It is indeed really hot where I live ,and I’m excited about the 3 Summer fragrances that you recommend
After I read Michelyn’s article and watched Redolessence YouTube video I think all Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling, Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes and Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Neroli Intense are elegant and cozy.
Redolessence believes Bombay Bling is mostly lychee fragrance but Michelyn thinks it’s one of the best mango fragrances, that’s interesting.
In Rusty Vibes I like the balance between the creamy florals, tropical fruits and patchouli and the fact that Michelyn believe it’s unique.
The harvest of orange groves in Tunisia is what inspired Patricia de Nicolai to create Neroli Intense.
Rusty Vibes is the fragrance i’d like to win

I love this selection of fragrances! Michelin describes every one as being so unique and I like that. It’s not the typical summer fragrances. I like Bombay Bling the best. I love mango. Cardamom is usually a stronger scent but Steven describes this as being very light and I love his description! -NYC

  • I already own one Parfums de Nikolai fragrance with similar Summer vibe like Neroli Intense, it’s called Angelys Pear , both Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling and Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes and are equally as good , fruity sweet and floral in a different way.
Such a hard choice with Bombay Bling being so sunny but i bet Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes would surprise me greatly because of the rich vanilla, all the tropical fruits and the incense , soulful Summer fragrance , I’m hooked
Thank you for the whole experience.

I can say, with confidence that Neela Vermeire Creations and Nikolaï Parfumeur-Createur are two brands every fragrance lover needs to know, and in by any chance you’re living or visiting Paris just go to Jovoy or one of Nicolaï Parfumeur-Createur boutiques and enjoy your time exploring Antonio Alessandria Parfums is a brand I knew nothing about up until I read Ms Camen review and Mr Gavrielatos video , I’ll try to find a sample set.
Bombay Bling is a green mango fragrance, spicy, floral and a bit sweet. I have no idea why Mr Gavrielatos thinks it’s mostly a lychee fragrance, I’m with Ms Camen on this one.
Rusty Vibes is alluring creation inspired by Antonio Alessandria childhood memories, there’s incense and patchouli in addition to vanilla and creamy florals.
Patricia de Nicolaï Neroli Intense is a versatile fragrance, not only for the Summer. Smells natural, green and slightly bitter.
    Rusty Vibes would be nice

    Howdies people
I’m found of how you decided to combine two different reflections on Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling, Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes and Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Neroli Intense , one by Michelyn Camen and one by Redolessence, in a singular experience for Cafleurebon subscribers, nice idea
There is slight disagreement in terms of Bombay Bling, Michelyn Camen is leaning on the mango instead of lychee like Redolessence but the tropical feeling is still there nonetheless.
Something in Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes is evoking comforting memories and emotions , is it the coconut or the passion fruit or the strong vanilla overtones i can’t say but it’s the fragrance i’d choose if I win.
    Million thanks EU

  • All these fragrances sound amazing for summer, but Bombay Bling is particularly amazing. Michelyn nailed it when she called up a Mango Lassi, and Steven nailed how wearable it is in summer heat. If I’m lucky enough to win, I’d choose the bottle of Bombay Bling. I’m in MN USA and follow you on instagram @ra7chel.

  • It’s been hot and stormy this summer, so some interesting fragrances for beautiful summer days are welcome. Great introductions Michelyn. Bombay Bling! really paints a picture; the mango note seems particularly well suited to summer, as does the varied floral heart. The photo of Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes stood out—really cool bottle. It also has an unusual combination of fruit and “metallic” incense and patchouli. And Nicolaï Parfumeur-Créateur Neroli Intense captures the whole orange tree for summer in the grove. What Steven mentioned about sweetness in fragrances resonated; I prefer really sweet fragrances in chilly weather, and even then would prefer just a hint of sweetness. He also raved about the green undercurrent and earthy backbone of Neroli Intense. Effervescent citrus sounds perfect for hot weather. Thanks for the excellent list.

I’m in the USA. I follow @cafleurebonoffical on Instagram as @mmerline. If I were to win, I’d choose Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes. Thanks!

That Bombay bling sounds stellar, but I’m really interested in smelling the Neroli Intense. For some reason when I saw the notes it made me think of a niche john varvatos because of the Neroli and pettigrain. Something about those powerhouse citruses when done right leave us begging for more. I’m sure this is a light but solid wear for the summer and probably comes to life in the heat. Would love to experience Neroli Intense by Nicolai. I have never owned anything from this brand but would love to, from Jacksonville, NC.

    Hey there
We all could agree there’s a synergy between Michelyn Camen and Redolessence leading to such cozy collaborations.
All fragrances can tell a story and the two contributors co-curated 3 fragrances with happy ending .
I like the idea of outlandish desert with mango and cardamom, and citrus groves in Tunisia but i have a soft spot for Italy and Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes grabbed me in right away . I can’t say No to Italian sensual and sophisticated tropical fragrance
    Thank you kindly EU

I feel like I’m invited to Michelyn Camen and Redolessence Summer party
My girlfriend is half Indian and she often makes mango lassi with cardamom, and at home we have variety of different flowers so somehow Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling feels like home .
In Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes I like the slightly metallic scent of incense, fruits and patchouli , and in Nikolai Parfemeur Createur Neroli Intense the realistic smell of ripe oranges.
    I lean towards Bombay Bling
Thank you for the draw EU

  • Thanks to Michelyn Camen and Redolessence I came to realization I need a tropical voyage , and I need it now
All three fragrances advised I haven’t smelled, the first two Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling and Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes are more tropical , Nikolai Parfemeur Createur Neroli Intense is more continental.
For me it’s between Bombay Bling and Rusty Vibes ,since at least in the Summer I’m looking for more tropical moments . What made me choose Rusty Vibes is how the fragrance is nothing like pina colada and the addition of incense, not something you smell often in a tropical Summer fragrance

I love Summer but I’m grateful we don’t have such unbelievably hot temperatures over here.
The juicy and delicious mango parts of Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling are easy to detect according to Ermano Picco , not at all according to Redolessence , the fact intrigued me a lot.
In my view Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes is a different but pleasing tropical fragrance, still just a bit jammy sweet but no where near sugary, something even Michelyn Camen appreciates.
Nikolai Parfemeur Createur Neroli Intense is for those who like classy fragrances in the Summer, really versatile too.
Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes if luck is on my side

I find Michelyn and Steven to be quite informative and descriptive when it comes olfactive journeys.
Each of these 3 fragrances offer something special to me personally. However, Neela Vermeire’s Bombay Bling provides a celebratory vibe that reaches to my innermost person, making feel as if I have to jump up on my kitchen table and start dancing the night away…even if it is 8AM 🙂 Naturally, my choice is Bombay Bling, should I be chosen for this giveaway.
    Warmest Regards from the USA

Also, I do follow you on IG.

  • Our beloved Cafleurebon tag-team Michelyn and Steven took me on a 3 journey, one to India and local flower markets, one to Italy and Sicilian coastline and another to Nabeul in Tunisia
Neela Vermeire Creations Mohur Extrait i adore , fantastic jammy rose, lactonic almonds and resins , with top quality sandalwood , a gem I wear on special occasions , Bombay Bling I haven’t smelled yet. Mango lassi laced with cardamom is filling up the air together with bouquet of flowers and patchouli.
I sampled Gattopardo, Fleurs et Flammes and Fara, Rusty Vibes i don’t know. With or without piña colada the fragrance is tropical and delicious.
Patricia de Nicolai is like Michelyn called her once the first Lady Boss of Niche perfumery, I admire her, and her accomplishments. One of my father’s signature scents is New York Intense , I like the way it smells , I’ll sample Neroli Intense
I like tropical fragrances that are more complex, different, and changing, and not too juvenile , Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling fits the bill perfectly
Cafleurebon i follow on both Facebook and Instagram
    Thank you for the opportunity

I like the serene energy of the 3 under the radar Summer recommendations from Redolessence and Michelyn Camen.
Between Bombay Bling, Rusty Vibes and Neroli Intense I’d choose the Antonio Alessandria fragrance. The reason is the sentimental approach by the owner and perfumer , Michelyn Camen calling Rusty Vibes “one of the most unique tropical Summer fragrances ,and the addition of incense to the juicy floral and fruity sentiment .
From his YouTube videos I know Redolessence is living in NYC, I guess that’s where Michelyn Camen lives too. Can’t explain why but I imagined wearing Rusty Vibes and playing chess and checkers in Central Park , to my knowledge one of New York’s most well-known traditions.
    I’m based in EU, thanks

  • Antonio Alessandria Rusty vibes I had never heard of but it seems a good summer tropical perfume no pins colada lol

In my opinion in 2024 Neela Vermeire Creations and Parfums de Nikolai are well known and highly respected in the fragrance community brands , yet up until 10 minutes ago I was not aware of Antonio Alessandria Parfums so thank you for bringing it to my attention .
Is it more like a mango lassi laced with cardamom, or maybe lychee lassi ? I’m not sure where Bombay Bling would go on my skin but Bollywood extravaganza , kaleidoscopic florals, woody mix sweetened by vanilla certainly sounds unique to me.
I like Parfums de Nikolai classy approach beautiful bottles , longevity, quality of the fragrances
Big time yes to Italian harmony, forbidden allure and aesthetics . I like the jasmine , fleshy fruits and coconut , Rusty Vibes matches my style greatly
    Thanks a bunch

Steven and Michelyn chose three very lovely and rather unique fragrances. I always love reading Michelyn’s reviews–she always succinctly–yet vividly– describes the fragrances. Steven speaks with so much enthusiasm when he reviews the fragrances. Michelyn’s review of Bombay Bling! transports me to a festival in Bombay. • Summer is finally here full time and I’m loving it , just like i love the 3 unique and under the radar recommendations by Steven and Michelyn.
Taking into consideration all the good things that I read about Neela Vermeire during the years , i believe she’s one of a kind person. I happen to know Bombay Bling and I’m loving it. Never had the chance to try mango lassi laced with cardamom however I can see the Indian desert and the flower market parallel Michelyn made , I have a sample and the fragrance right in between the two.
I could be wrong of course but due to the rarity of his fragrances , especially in USA i have a feeling I’d be one of the few subscribers who actually smelled a couple of Antonio Alessandria perfumes , the samples I ordered from Ebay because unfortunately I don’t think the brand is available in any boutique over here. Nacre , Noir Obscur and Nuit Rouge i know , Nacre is my favorite one. Rusty Vibes I find impressive for the strong vanilla overtones, the balance between the fruits , florals and coconut, and also how Steven said there are a lot of high quality raw materials in the fragrance.
I like how Michelyn let us know about how Patricia de Nicolai traveled to Nabeul in Tunisia exploring the diverse facets of neroli and bitter orange , and created Neroli Intense afterwards.
    Rusty Vibes would be awesome
Of course I follow Cafleurebon on IG
    Thanks for the draw

  • Hard to decide… I love tropical fragrances, so each sounds amazing, but neroli is one of my favorite notes so I’d choose Neroli intense. I mean, Steven says: “This stuff is WOW!” so it must be good. Also, long-lasting citrus perfume with so much depth and personality? As Michelyn says: “It’s as if the entire tree, branches, leaves and blossoms were captured.”

    And if feels like Summer..
People worldwide know NYC as the city that never sleeps, unique place with its own culture but the weather is kind of strange. I’ve been there twice, once in August when it was boiling hot, and second time in January when it was so intensely cold that after ~ hour walk i felt frozen to the bone.
Two multidimensional perspectives of 3 unique fragrances , love it.
I’ve been to India and is Sicily, not to Tunisia though. I think Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling and Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes and more tropical, more fun and more party suited, Neroli Intense on the other hand is more dressed well fragrance.
The flight I’d like to catch right now is to Catania Sicily, because how unique Rusty Vibes is. No pina colada but still delicious with passion fruit and coconut, vanilla and some incense. You can’t beat that
    Cheers EU

  • Boy oh boy you know how to deliver a package, 3 unique fragrances , all with good looking bottles, all made with high quality ingredients , all caught my eye in a different manner.
Almost started drooling because of Michelyn Camen mango lassi laced with cardamom analog. It doesn’t seem like Redolessence have the same idea about Bombay Bling still i like the vanilla and patchouli on top of that.
Carrying much for their country and the place they grew up is typical for most Italians. Most of my favorite perfumes also have strong vanilla overtones, ripe fruits and incense too.
More herbal, more green, more photorealistic that’s Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Neroli Intense
Between the trio of Summer recommendations I’d choose Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes

    Thank you for the effort

  • Oh how amazing!! I loved this article and video, I have both Bombay Bling and Neroli Intense and highly recommend both. But I do not have Rusty Vibes or even anything from him! I personally love incense being used in a fragrance with florals and I can’t think of any with coconut also. This is so incredibly intriguing to me! I definitely hope I win this one. Thank you for the generous give away. I have been a long time follower on IG (SimoneSamba) I am located in US.

What came to mind when Michelyn said it’s unbearably hot in New York is 94′ song by late great Joe Cocker called “Summer in the City” , anyone else ? 🙂

Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck gettin’ dirty and gritty
    I’ve been down, isn’t it a pity?
Doesn’t seem to be a shadow in the city

    All around, people looking half-dead
Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head

But at night it’s a different world
Go out and find a girl
Come on, come on, and dance all night
Despite the heat, it’ll be alright
And babe, don’t you know it’s a pity?
The days can’t be like the nights

In the summer, in the city
In the summer, in the city

Cool town, evenin’ in the city
Dressed so fine and lookin’ so pretty

Awesome Summer picks by the way , I happen to know all of them ,and even had the pleasure of meeting and chatting for a bit with Neela Vermeire at Esxence 2018 , and meeting Patricia de Nicolai in one the the brand’s boutiques.
Bombay Bling composed by Bertrand Duchaufour is one of the best mango fragrances ever made, period. Fruity, delicious, floral in a classy manner. Steven surprised me a bit, at least on my skin the mango is on the front row.
All Antonio Alessandria fragrances and not just Rusty Vibes are olfactory images of his love and appreciation for Sicily and the beautiful city of Catania . I fully agree with Michelyn that the fragrance is different in comparison all other from the brand’s catalog. Thick and syrupy fruity , slightly boozy and floral goodness, Rusty Vibes is a hidden gem every fragrance lover should try. It’s very loud too, by far the most potent fragrance of the 3 we discuss.
35th anniversary of Parfums de Nikolai is coming this year , as far as I can remember late September , such a remarkable milestone for independent brand. Neroli Intense is a throwback to the 80s kind of fragrance with laid back vibe. Michelyn very well pointed out “it’s as if the entire tree , branches, leaves and blossoms were captured” .
    Rusty Vibes is my choice
All profiles I already follow, @waltherp99bg

  • After reading Michelyn Camen article and watching Redolessence video i realized the 3 approved by both fragrances I’d wear gladly , although in different situations
    a) Neela Vermeire Creations Bombay Bling I’d wear going to the beach, coffee shops. Not very sweet, harmonious mostly fruity and floral fragrance.
    b) Antonio Alessandria Parfums Rusty Vibes I’d wear to clubs, bars ,dates too. Sophisticated tropical fragrance with slightly metallic incense and patchouli, no wonder Michelyn Camen called Antonio Alessandria “one of the most talanted independent perfumers of past decade”
    c) Nicolai Parfumeur Createur Neroli Intense I’d wear of formal occasions and business meetings.
    Rusty Vibes is my pick
