As soon as the temperature starts climbing, I get an undeniable urge for tropical blooms, creamy coconut, and luscious fruits. Call it a summer ritual, but it hits me every year, and I eagerly anticipate that first wave of craving. This summer, my desires were ‘perfectly’ met with Sarah Horowitz Parfums Gardenia, Coconut Milk and Nectar, which are from the “Perfect Collection. These perfumes came to life in peak humidity, dancing beautifully on the skin. It was like each one was a fine wine, needing just the right temperature for all its notes to blossom fully.

Sarah Horowitz Parfums Gardenia

Sarah Horowitz Parfums Gardenia: Gardenia is the first fragrance created in the Perfect Perfumes line and remains one of the most popular today. Many fragrance lovers agree this is a truly authentic take on gardenia—sensual and carnal, angelic and devilish, intoxicating and addictive. I’ll never forget the first time I smelled this flower in the tropics. Its indolic sensuality hit me, leaving me unsure if I was repulsed or bewitched, but I couldn’t stop until I found the source. It was a lush gardenia tree, and from that moment, my sense of smell was forever changed. If you’re on the hunt for a realistic gardenia, you’ve found it. This fragrance will weave its way around your senses, leaving you grateful you discovered it. Believe me, it’s a scent you’ll never forget. Notes: Gardenia.

Sarah Horowitz Parfums Perfect Coconut Milk review

Sarah Horowitz Parfums Coconut Milk: Let’s get tropical with Coconut Milk, your personal paradise with lush, fleshy coconut at its core, which truly lives up to its name. It’s all glistering skin kissed rather lavishly by the sun, solar orange blossoms, and solar, even carnal gardenias. It’s both gourmand and floral, nutty and even bitter. I love a pairing between almonds and tonka as it always gives a fragrance a slightly toasted base. The true sensuality of it hides in the dry down of the Egyptian musk, which are like the dew drops of the salty sweetness of the skin. Wear it in the heat or during the dead of winter, and one spritz will transport you. Personally, I prefer it in the heat, with the sun beaming and Vitamin D soaking into my bones. I’m a responsible sun worshipper, but nothing beats the feeling of my skin heating up under those golden rays. Coconut Milk has that beautiful solar quality, and the nutty tonka bean in the base is absolutely addictive. I have to say, this might be my favorite composition by Sarah Horowitz. Everything aligns perfectly with this one for me. Notes: Coconut, Almond, Orange blossom, Gardenia, tonka bean, Vanilla, Egyptian Musk.

Sarah Horowitz Parfums Nectar review

Sarah Horowitz Parfums Nectar photo by Olya Bar©

Sarah Horowitz Parfums Nectar: This is like succulent juice dripping down your elbow as you rip open a ripe mango in a tropical paradise. Specifically, the Ataulfo or Honey Mango is known for its bright mango scent with peachy undertones. It’s a vivid scene for me: I’m on vacation in the Caribbean, the sun bright and sizzling hot. I’m craving a luscious cocktail of tropical papaya, banana-like ylang-ylang, and mandarin juice. You get the idea, right? That’s what Sarah Horowitz Parfums Nectar feels like. It delivers that vision—you’re lounging on a pristine beach, waves gently lapping at the shore, sipping a cocktail brimming with tropical papaya, creamy ylang-ylang, and a splash of zesty mandarin juice. If you’re feeling gloomy, this is the perfect remedy. I find it incredibly happy and especially relaxing in the dry down. It becomes clean, green, and transparent, like iced green tea with a few slices of tropical fruit floating on top. Notes: Mango, Papaya, ylang-ylang, tangerine, green teas, white flowers.

The bottles themselves scream summer: transparent, uncomplicated, minimalistic. Yet another house I was not familiar with but it’s the reason I keep coming back so that I read, learn and enjoy discovering all these new houses. Out of the 3, I’m leaning more towards the coconut milk because who doesn’t love coconut in the summer? It’s creamy, rich, succulent. Nectar and Gardenia are also great creations, with Nectar being my second favorite and Gardenia my third. This is a great collection for the summer and also to wear everyday as they look non-complicated and easy going. This is a great new discovery! Cheers from the US.

  • David Furman says:

Of the three mentioned coconut milk is the one for me. It sounds like a smooth creamy coconut but with a nutty sweet base. The ingredients are stellar and I can tell Ms Horowitz’s brand has been composed with care and consideration. I would love to own this a wear it this summer. From Jacksonville, NC.

3 very different fragrances from Sarah Horowitz! I honestly love the notes in all 3! I think I’m most excited about coconut milk since it is described as a scent you could wear in all seasons. The almond gives it versatility. I would love to try it! -New York, NY

  • Wow first time hearing on Sarah Horowitz!
    The coconut milk sounds amazing!
I love coconut scented candles and shampoo so I’m sure I would love this too! Also a big fan of almond and tonka bean so this one sounds like you can find it by a pool or the beach. Cheers USA

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

Oh these 3 fragrances sound absolutely devine! Coconut Milk stands out to me to be the perfect summer scent. The milky almond and tonka are pleasures and the coconut seems to be the right kind, not sunscreeny at all. I live in Oregon.

  • phuongmtran says:

This really does sound like the perfect collection for summer. Coconut Milk would be my first choice, with Nectar a very close second. They both sound beautiful. I am in the US.

  • The Gardenia in my opinion is the breezy seductive perfume for summer. The coconut milk defines it make with coconut, but with tonka bean, it makes it like a gourmand tasty smell. The nectar is also interesting with its mango opening, and the tropical fruit that comes after it. The perfect fragrance for me out of 3 is the coconut milk since i love the vitamin D, and sunscreen feeling of a fragrance on summer. Im from California USA

  • I think I would have to step outside my safe box and instead of choosing coconut milk, I think I would take gardenia. I love the flower and it reminds me of my mother, it was one of her favorites. I don’t find gardenia in many perfumes today, so one strictly devoted to the flower speaks to me. I. Maryland.

I love this concept trio, and my favorite would be a toss up between the Nectar one and the Coconut one. Lovely smells and I look forward to seeing how more of this collection evolves with time. Many other comments here have lots of good feedback, I’d be lucky to enjoy this giveaway.

  • I would choose Gardenia. Reminds me of my mother’s stories of dances in the 1940’s when young men gave their sweetheart gardenia corsages. The headiness and enveloping scent of this flower is so intoxicating. Would love to wear a close tribute to this wonder. Definitely need to experience this one and Coconut Milk, sounds amazing. Haven’t experienced parfums from this house before, but clearly I need to. April from Minnesota USA

Olya makes these all sound lovely, but she says the Gardenia is realistic so that would be my choice if I’m the lucky one. My grandma had a gardenia plant right by her front door at her house and oh how I loved that smell. Sounds like this is the perfect scent for the Perfect Perfume line. I do like that nectar beats the “gloomy” feeling. Thanks for a chance at winning this. USA.

  • FragranceIsMe says:

Coconut milk, vanilla and musk. That sounds like a wonderful combo for a beautiful summer day. Coconut Milk is my choice should I be picked for the giveaway.

  • Thank you for this wonderfully detailed review, Olya! Reading about the Sarah Horowitz Parfums, particularly the Gardenia, Coconut Milk, and Nectar, truly transported me to a tropical paradise. As someone living in Nashville, where the summer heat calls for refreshing and evocative scents, I am intrigued by the carnal notes of the Gardenia and the lush, tropical vibes of the Coconut Milk. I’d love to win the Gardenia for my mom, who adores gardenias and would be thrilled with such a thoughtful gift. It seems like the perfect scent to brighten up even the most humid Tennessee days. Fingers crossed for the draw!

Each of these sounds so beautiful! I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect mango, so Nectar is intriguing me the most! Love Sarah’s fragrances!!

  • I am amazed that so many readers have not heard of Sarah, who has designed scents for many niche brands, including Kai, Urban Decay, Sage Machado, Edward Bess, Loree Rodkin, Ron Robinson’s Apothia, Warm NY, Pirette, and Pilar & Lucy. Her brand is impressive. If you haven’t tried it, it is a simple superb. Click on her ad here at CaFleurebon to discover what she has available on her site. Great review, Olya, It’s tough to decide which of the three I would choose because they are all great for summer, especially the heat here in the SW. Olya did a great job describing each, but I must go with coconut milk as I have a soft spot for coconut, almond, and tonka. I am in the USA, presently Colorado.

  • All three do sound perfect for summer. The heady floral, luscious fruit and solar scents are all well represented in Sarah Horowitz-Thran’s collection. I love gardenia in my garden as well as my perfume. I have soliflores as well as gardenia interpretations. Would love to try the Gardenia. MD, USA.

  • I’ve heard such great things about her coconut milk and they are all so tempting but I would have to go for the Gardenia. I’m a total sucker for a gardenia ! Cannot wait to try these!! Thank you for the chance. I am located in US.

  • Summer comes late in Seattle, but it’s worth waiting for… I love coconut, so would prefer the perfect coconut milk, but both nectar and gardenia would be good summer, waiting for the beach scents (and a fantastic middle of the winter pick me up scents!) I can’t wait for the beach! Thank you for the lovely review and the draw. I’m in the us

Coconut Milk sounds incredible. I enjoyed the write up here and also Steven’s video about it. Can’t wait to smell it.

  • I hear so much about Sarah Horowiyz but have yet to try any of her scent. I didn’t realize she also hade created for other brands. All of these sound fantastic. I think Nectar would be my choice. One can’t have too many perfumes that fight gloom.. I am in OH USA

  • I haven’t had a chance to try many of Sarah’s perfumes, but Tapestry is impressive, so I’ve been meaning to try more. Coconut Milk sounds particularly interesting, with that nutty Tonka and musk base avoiding the usual sunscreen signifiers but still creating the vibe of a hot day in the sun.

Thanks for the giveaway. If I were to win, I’d choose Perfect Coconut Milk.

    I’m in the USA.

  • I love how Olya crafted such an evocative picture with each scent. Her descriptions are unctuous and while two certainly beckon me equally- I’m forever on the hunt for a heady white floral! Gardenia it is. Cheers from California!

Olya’s writing style makes it hard to choose just one of Sarah Horowitz’s fragrances. She makes them all sound so perfect for the summer. I would choose Perfect Coconut because Olya described it as solar and transporting, even on a cold and dark winter day.
    I live in the USA.

  • See these are the types of scents I should be spending my summer with . Olya’s review just makes these sound like the perfect treats to be outside in this hot weather and enjoying my day. From the coconut in Perfect Coconut Milk which sounds almost like a drink from the description to that sweet smell of Nextar which just sounds refreshing.

Perfect Coconut milk would definitely be my pick. Coconut notes work very well off my skin for some reason as I have been sampling a few here recently.
