ART:  Ivy Jacobsen- Ms  Jacobson's  paintings area often exhibited in collborative exhibits  with prominent  San Francsico  artists

On American Perfumery: San Francisco has a great artistic vibe and one that is based on communal support. There is a wild west energy here so the Independent Spirit reigns supreme — creative ingenuity is the gold standard in San Francisco. Artists, chefs, chocolatiers, writers and designers cross-pollinate ideas regularly and this breeds a wonderful culture of openness and support. I have been lucky to work with non-industry creatives who want to push the envelope in their respective fields so I have been lucky to work on projects that are truly creative and not limited by traditional commerce.

  • Hello, Yosh! Almost got to see you today but you were running late or something. So I got Mario all to myself! I was in Barney’s snuffling your little glasses today.

I enjoy Ginger Ciao and would love a bottle. Thank you!!

  • I have only sniffed a couple of Yosh scents, but I love White Flowers and would be very happy to win a bottle!

  • I am a newbie to Yosh as in I have no t yet wafted her scents. However, I have heard and read about her intense bespoke scents and the power of her chakra use and numerolgy’s role in her creations facinates me. Using fragrance within tha pattern of our lifes as a scentual match to our life Journey. That is very powerful indeed aand inclusion of the seasons thereby tides as well…I am so attracted to Yosh’s work I really want to try the fragrance that worked for my numerical life path it was omniscennt0.96 it fit my lifepath number of 6.
I wish that there was a Barneys closer by to me I feel my life enhancement would be ten fold. This is beyond bespoke in my opinion its scentual and spiritual. Reminds me of tonics and early herbals.
This was as always a great read. I really hope that I will have the opportunity to smell my lifepath number 6 scent someday. Thanks Yosh for the information and the opportunity to win one of your wonderful works. You put alot of yourself into those bottle helping others to locate the best scent to light their journey. Thanks Cafelurebon. xoxo

  • I haven’t tried any of Yosh’s perfume and I wasn’t able to read the review as the link was broken, but anything that works with the third chakra would be good.omniscennt0.96 sounds good, I like the number 6.

  • I have sampled most… my favorite of Yosh’s fragrances is Trompeur and i wish it came in an EDP, but i would love to have the opportunity to win the Omniscent Eau de Parfum since it was my second favorite of the ones i was able to sample.

  • Graham, the link is the part with black text “Yosh is offering a reader’s choice from her Eaux de Yosh Parfums line”, so although you have made your choice, you may want to take a look!

  • I also went to Barney’s today (and Mario was VERY helpful). And I think I’m falling in love with Ginger Ciao. I need to wear it more to make up my mind but it was very beautiful.

  • The most interesting one is Omniscent. So far I didsn’t have opportunity to try any of the Yosh creations. It would be nice to get it. Thanks!

  • When I was in SF this year I went to Barneys hoping to savor your art Yosh, but unfortunately they didn’t have your perfumes and you were one of the few SF Perfumers I didn’t manage to meet. I love your concepts, pathways to your Art and I hope one day I do manage to say to synchronize a monemt in time. Omniscent , beautiful it must be. I love the Chakra focus of your work. thank you.

  • Paul-Laurentiu says:

Until now I have not had the pleasure to test any Yosh fragrances but I would love to test them all especially Stargazer. I like the notes (lily and ginger) and I also like the name… it is very poetic, dreamy.

  • According to the reviews, I would like to try Sottile. Its two notes (tea rose and lily) are some of my favorites, and these days I’m in the mood for subtle and simple scents.
I have not tried any Yosh scent, but all of them sound amazing. I wish I could smell them all!

  • From the moment I read the interesting story of how Yosh stumbled into becoming a perfumer, I have been intrigued by this line (coupled with the fact that she uses natural materials). I also appreciate the Chakra focus. However, I have yet to try one of her creations! If I should be so lucky as to win, I would love to have Ginger Ciao, as I read that this is Yosh’s favorite and gives her instant energy. Thank you Yosh and CaFleureBon for this great draw!

  • I hadn’t had any chance to try Yosh fragrances-just read here and there about her work and aproach-very interesting
I would like to be able to try Stargazer-it seems suited to my state of mind
another temting fragrance is Ginger Ciao- it would be interesting to watch my reaction to it
Thanks a lot for the generous draw

  • I own and love several Yosh fragrances and have had the pleasure of meeting her. She is as lovely as her fragrances. I had a wonderful conversation with her about scent and memory—my mother has dementia–when she smelled Yosh’s Stargazer she began telling/remembering all the times she and I had planted and maintained stargazers in various places we’d lived. Yosh and I talked about the link between scent and memory. Whenever I have a tense moment, I wear Yosh’s Phenomenon and it instantly both focuses and calms me. Iown and love Ginger Ciao, Stargazer, and Phenomenon. If I were to win, I would like a bottle of White Flowers. Thank you!

  • My favorite yosh is kismet renamed from the heart is deceitful above all things and la contessa the fragrance created for burning man
if I was eligible u4eah or ginger caio would be my choice
Sarah a friends mom has dementia so she brings her fragrance and it helps her lucidity

  • Oh wow! Yosh!

When I first got into fragrances seriously, I bought a mixed niche sample set on ebay. In it was U4EAHH, and I was immediately hooked. This perfume did a better job than any other explaining to me WHY NICHE MATTERS. Where other perfumes might be pretty, U4EAHH transported me. It told a story and had a depth and voice that I had never experienced in perfume. It was art.

I would be so happy to have U4EAHH, but I think in the edp version, Ginger Ciao would be the one I’d want.

    Yosh rocks!!

  • I’ve not had the pleasure of enjoying Yosh’s fragrances, as of yet. White Flowers sounds wonderful and I would love to experience it so please enter me in the draw. Love Lyn

  • White flowers is lovely but I would like to get out of my comfort zone and try Ginger Ciao. Lots of great reviews. I am really intrigued.

    Thank you.

  • This would be my first opportunity to try Yosh’s fragrances, and I would have to go with Omniscent as my choice. I’m so fascinated by how each fragrance has a color, number and chakra to go along with it. Omniscent sounds like it is different for each wearer, and I’d be interested to smell how it works on me. Thanks for the draw!

  • I have a dear friend who owns Ginger Ciao, and doesn’t stop raving about it. I would love to try it and rave about it to someone else!

  • The whole line is a little foreign to me, so in light of that I’d start with the forthright promise of White Flowers.

  • I love Omniscent. I’ve tried it in both the oil and edp. Fab scent. I want to try White Flowers, next.

  • i love la contessa, which was discontinued….my next two faves are omniscient and ginger ciao, I would love to see how omniscient has evolved in edp form!
