Xerjoff Apollonia Review+ Outer Space Iris Draw

Xerjoff Apollonia review

Xerjoff Apollonia by  @redolesscence

In my interview with Sergio Momo (founder of Xerjoff, Casamorati and Kemi Blending Magic) on March 11, 2011, I asked him if there was a signature that defines a Xerjoff fragrance olfactively and he replied, Iris is a theme or note that runs through most of our line. I truly love iris and the many ways it can be manipulated and I’ve tried to see how many ways we can utilize this particular note.

Xerjoff Apollonia commemorated the launching of Apollo 11

collage (clockwise from left) © NASA, Xerjoff Apollonia

Xerjoff Apollonia (from the Shooting Stars collection) launched in 2019 commemorates the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, the spaceflight that first landed humans on the Moon on July 20, 1969. To Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, the moon smelled of “powder, dust and burnt charcoal.

Xerjoff Apollonia smells quite differently. Xerjoff Apollonia uses high quality iris that swirls throughout the atmosphere and floats on clouds of white florals and musk. –Michelyn Camen, Editor-In-Chief

Another great review from Redolessence, and I am glad to see you guys working together. I love iris and Xerjoff. Don’t think I could lose with this one.

  • Olga Sherman says:

This an intriguing story and interesting description of a fragrance! I’d love to try it!

  • I read the interview with Sergio Momo and it was great. Steven really has a great way of describing this as a floral for men too
    USA

  • Zoran Loncarevic says:

wow, that’s another great giveaway. As an absolute fan of Xerjoff, I would be very happy about it. The perfume sounds very tasty to me. Greetings from Germany.

  • I love Steven! I really enjoy how he breaks down the notes and was really interested in how he described the muskiness. It was interesting to hear Michelyn’s nugget about iris being “a theme or note that runs through most” of the Xerjoff line. I think I would really really really love this one. Sounds beautiful. USA

  • As always, what isn’t to love about Steven’s reviews? He is the consummate professional and an absolute delight to view. Although I’ve never had the opportunity to try any iris fragrances I am a HUGE lover of real flowers and the scents that go along with them, lilies being a personal fav. I AM a big fan of musky scents so Michelyn’s intro about how the scent “swirls throughout the atmosphere and floats on clouds on white florals and musk” definitely peaks my interest. To top it all off, Xerjoff knocked it out of the park with the design; Appolonia’s bottle is an absolute stunner and would be a welcome addition to even the most modest of collector’s arsenals.

  • Yes! Thank you Michelyn and Steven! What a worthy obsession! The scents of the universe! ❤️ The moon smells of “powder, dust, & burnt charcoal” – amazing! I’m fascinated to take this olfactory journey (with the entire Xerjoff Shooting Stars collection). Thank you, Michelyn, for a revealing interview. I’m even more intrigued by Xerjoff knowing about their Iris project. I love the notion of “atmosphere” that Michelyn describes in her introduction, which works on so many levels for this perfume! Thank you, Steven, for a great review! The cool ingredients sound striking & perfect for an elegant summer gathering (I picture frosted cocktail glasses and icy gemstones at a moonlit soirée). The orris butter, white musk, structural jasmine, & cool gardenia Steven describes are like the atmospheres of Uranus & Neptune, containing “ices” and supersonic water-ice clouds. Clean, cold, and brilliant. ❤️ USA

  • From the Michelyn interview I learned iris is in most of the line. From the video I learned how this fragrance was named. Yes I am a fan of iris. US

  • Greetings from NC, USA.

What a fun read and watch. I loved Michelyn’s factoid about what the moon smelled like to Neil Armstrong: “powder, dust and burnt charcoal.” It never even occurred to me that the moon might have a smell! The bottle is just so beautiful and so well captures the beauty of the moon. I imagine the scent does too (although, as Michelyn points out, only in a poetic sense!).

The video was great too. I appreciate the presentation and extremely thorough discussion of the notes involved. I will have to watch more of his videos.

  • Claudia Francesca says:

I love iris, white musk and clean fragrances so this has been on my radar. My favorite part of Steven’s review is hearing the story and inspiration behind Apollonia and the note breakdown. Michelyn’s description of the scent being inspired by the moon landing and space is very intriguing and something I want to experience. It sounds like something that was made for me because I adore iris and white musk, they are my two favorite notes.

I’m in the US and would love to be entered in the contest. Many thanks!

  • joshuabrian says:

Steven is great. I know without a doubt that he’s honest and passionate with his reviews. The powder, dust and charcoal would have been a cool perfume, but the Xerjoff take I’m sure smells better. Iris may be my most favorite note. Thanks for the draw!

  • DJ Gregory says:

I’m just getting into the XERJOFF house but..I love the note of IRIS..and I can’t wait to put my nose on this line..

  • Steven’s review, as well as Michelyn’s words got me interested in this fragrance that I previously haven’t paid much attention to it. So thank you for the heads-up on this summer classy and fresh perfume!
I’m all about that, since summer is here and I spend most of my time in a hot environment.

  • I like Steven’s description about the notes. This fragrance sounds like a beautiful airy fragrance to try on a hot summer day.

  • Prayforzay says:

Wow! What another beautiful fragrance from the house of Xerjoff! I loved Michelyn’s introduction! Steven, as always, provided us with another fantastic review of Apollonia. I think this beauty is going to become a huge success in the fragrance community and I really hope that I get the opportunity to smell it some day for myself.

  • Kelly O'Neal says:

I liked Steves’ friendly style and the same goes for Michelyn’s Introduction. Thank you.

  • Iris is one of my favorite notes in perfumery . It can be sometimes unpleasant to my nose aswell as It can be a masterpiece. Appolonia is one of my favorite iris fragrance unfortunately as a student It is hard to afford. I felt like this contest could be a good opportunity for me.
Great video and great review thanks a lot guys. Xxx

  • I enjoyed Steven’s description of the cooling sensation of orris and musk combination. He has a very specific explanatory way of dissecting fragrances and the overall feeling or concept it portrays.

  • Cynthia F. says:

I like Michelyn’s description of the iris swirling throughout the atmosphere and floating on clouds of white florals and musk. Steven echoes this when he describes the cooling, clear airy feeling of this perfume. Right now, living in Texas, I can appreciate any fragrance that cools! I’ve really come to appreciate iris for it’s elegance and class. Tx, US.

  • Amanda32828 says:

What is not to love. Lovely review, love to try it, the bottle is to die for. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the draw. Commenting from Orlando, Florida.

  • Greg Graham says:

Steven does a masterful job on his videos and reviews. I love that he said that a Fragrance should tell a story. The Apollonia bottle looks like the moon and there’s a story in the bottle. Thank you Steven, thank you Cafleurebon.

  • Oh darn. I thought Xerjoff Apollonia was named in tribute to Prince’s movie girlfriend! I’m most interested in the focus on iris (often purple!) and the ethereal quality of the musk and white florals. I appreciate Steven’s description of the cooling nature of the scent. I’m in MD, USA.

  • I am space enthusiast so the concept intrigues me. Steven says it is a musky composition that has a cooling vibe. I am in US

  • The description of iris and the muskiness by Michelyn sounds yummy. I’d love to try this one. In NC USA.

  • Natalia306 says:

The most what I enjoyed from Michelyn’s introduction and Steven’s YouTube review that the fragrance called Apollonia by Xerjoff is a tribute to the Apollo 11 space shuttle that made the first moon landing on July 20, 1969. It seeks to convey the charm of deep space, a night sky illuminated by thousands of shining stars. And in its seductive aroma, you can feel a person’s striving for infinity, the need to dream of new worlds every time, a need that Apollonia fully satisfies, involving all our senses in an intense process of imagination. Thank you all for your generous Giveaway! It’s a truly amazing beautiful fragragrance in gorgeous bottle! Florida , cape Canaveral

  • Jeremiah butler says:

I want this frag! It’s interesting to know that Iris is a staple in this house, as Xerjoff is slowly becoming one of my favorite houses. I still think that L’homme by Prada is my favorite iris scent, but now I will be on the lookout for more iris within this house. I own 40 knots, Uden, and Mefistófeles, but there are many more I want to own, including Alexandria II and Richwood

  • stanley wright says:

Wow, this sounds like a very elegant fragrance. I love the smell of iris and oris butter. I do not own any Xerjoff fragrances and I would be be delighted to own one. I enjoyed Stephen’s description of Apollonia and what it represents. Finally, the Xerjoff bottles look so elusive, it will elevate my fragrance collection.

  • AleksCipri says:

I’m not always a fan of iris fragrances, some of them I adore others not so much. I really like Steven’s description of Apollonia. I think I could really like this clean musky sophisticated iris fragrance. I must say that the bottle is stunning, but I am even more in love with this perfume because of the Apollo theme. I forgot about Neil Armstrong description of how Moon smells (powder, dust and burnt charcoal), so it was fun reading that again. I didn’t know iris is one of the main Xerjoff notes. I don’t own any of their fragrances even though I know a lot of them. But obviously not enough of them to notice iris as an important note for this brand! I’m from Illinois, US.

  • Kris Major says:

Steven really has a gift of knowing how to really describe and breakdown a fragrance. Apollonia sounds so interesting and I’d love to try it.!

  • I absolutely love Iris and the idea that it “swirls around the atmosphere” really makes it a must have. Stephens reviews are always well done and easy to digest. USA

  • I enjoyed how in Michelyn’s introduction she mentioned Sergio Momo mentioning iris as something going thru Xerjoff fragrances. I enjoyed Steven’s review and how he explained kind of how the orris did or didn’t smell for example. I am a fan of iris fragrances yes definitely a note I enjoy a lot. Thanks for the generous draw. From CT USA.

  • This sounds so good. I love iris fragrances, always looking for new ones to try. From CA, USA.

  • mprice594 says:

What really intrigues me about this so that it sounds otherworldly with it being called otherworldly and it’s showing almost like the face of a moon gives me a certain type of feeling of what it would be like to be on the moon , Steven spoke on this being velvety and smooth I feel like the Orris here could be likened to the Moon dust maybe I feel like this sound enchanting and ethereal and also conceptual the white flowers and Musk are so up my alley !

  • itzelytapia says:

I would be excited to try it, especially because it can be considered unisex.

  • kramerongo says:

Great review by Steven , I watch all his vidoes. Apollonia looks wow on bottle, people will buy it only for that, plus its iris and musk so now in summer time will be great to use. The introduction by Michelyn s tell it all that its Iris and will be a hit this year. I am in CA USA

  • I love Stevens’ description of the “soft velvety and cool orris butter” in the fragrance and the way Michelyn describes the fragrance in terms of a swirl of atmosphere. It sounds heavenly! I live in the US in the state of Virginia.

  • I always enjoy Stevens descriptive terms , it gives you a full insight into the scent. I love how he doesn’t just concentrate on scent but adds textures and various other profiles that allow us to get a well rounded take on the scent

    Florida.

  • IvanVelikov says:

I know July 20, 1969 is the date Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, but it was fun to read the moon smells of “powder, dust and burnt charcoal.”

Apollonia smells differently through, is something, high quality iris, like Michelyn said “floats on clouds of white florals and musk.”

Still I believe keeps the artistic part alive, going to the moon , space travel , and made by Xerjoff?
Apollonia sounds truly awesome, sophisticated high end formal events iris fragrance , and I believe I’d feel in good spirits while wearing it.
For going out , and personal satisfaction I’m happy to have have Lira , my favorite Xerjoff. Amabile now is my second favorite, and my third favorite is a tie between Cavour I and Dolce Amalfi.
Yes I’m a fan of iris , i love top of the line fragrances like Apollonia
Beautiful giveaway , thank you Michelyn, Steven
    and Europerfumes
    USA

  • I found it interesting that Xerjoff utilizes the Iris note in most of their perfumes. I definitely remember the exciting moon landing. I like that Steve mentioned that Apollonia is unisex. A “clean aura” sounds perfect for summer. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff! Mich USA

  • How fabulous does this perfume sound! I ADORE iris butter. <3 Steven is so well spoken and I loved Michelyn's description of the fragrance as high quality iris floating on clouds of white florals and musk. <3 I live in the USA

  • Amazingly intruiging review done by Redolessence aswell as michelyn’s alluring description of white floral clouds whipping through the scent.
I cannot wait to get my hands on a sample of this.

The bottle is incredibly beautiful aswell, with its ethereal cold and marble-like design.

  • redwheelbarrow says:

I love iris and this is such a beautiful fragrance. I’d never heard of Armstrong’s take on the smell of the moon. Interesting. Thanks for the draw. I’m in the US.

  • From this introduction, I most appreciate the explanation of the origin for the name of this new release from Xerjoff. From Steven’s video review, I really appreciate how he broke down the notes, detailing how they support the lunar theme. Being a fan of iris, floral musks and astronomy, it would be wonderful to have this release in my collection. USA

  • jmmcmenamin says:

In the video I really appreciated how Steven tied together the scents to the perfume name. Just the name and the ingredients alone didn’t necessarily make sense or tie together easily for me.
The intro was great! It didn’t try to be anything more than what it needed to be – short and informative – in order to let the actual video review shine.
Iris is one of my favorite flowers and scents.
    In Louisiana, USA.

  • Love iris perfumes. Leant from Michelyn’s nice introduction about the theme running through Xerjoff perfumes, that of iris. And even though I have seen moon rocks and dust, didn’t know what they smelled like, so that was another fun fact from Michelyn’s introduction. Xerjoff Apollonia seems lovely from Steven’s video review. The bottle is beautiful and I loved it when Steven said it’s both an eloquent and an elegant perfume. Haven’t tried Xerjoff perfumes, yet, as they tend to be expensive due to the high quality of the ingredients and presumably marketing reasons. Would love to try Xerjoff Apollonia. Steven also explained the perfume eloquently and elegantly, to borrow his word describing Xerjoff Apollonia. Am a subscriber to Redolessence. Thanks for the review and draw. I am in the USA.

  • I am amazed by the breadth and depth of the whole xerjoff line. Steven does an amazing job reviewing this scent, and I noticed it made a top 10 list of his recently too (number 2 spot I think). Anyway, thanks for a chance to win this scent. In maryland.

  • Andrei Artimon says:

My favourite niche house, i actually own this, but eould love to get a backup as the one i have has been stolled by my wife, new york, usa.

  • NikkoNikko says:

You guys always seem to feature exactly the kind of fragrance I’m interested in! I’ve been in the market for a white floral based perfume but I’m having a hard time finding one that isn’t too aldehydic. I have multiple offerings from Xerjoff and this one sounds like what I’ve been looking for. It was interesting to find out from Michelyn’s intro that Mr. Momo considered Iris almost a house ingredient, I never knew they used it so widely, I’ll have to keep my eye out now. I like how Steven mentioned that this perfume lacks warmth from amber or resins, which really interests me! A cold white floral from space, a true shooting star! The bottle is beautiful as well! Thank you for the great review and giveaway! From Idaho, USA

  • Nice! I like Iris so this is one of like to try.
This might be a great powder musky fragrance.
    Enjoyed the review. Thanks
    Ca

  • Mario Mata says:

I truly enjoyed Steven’s review of Apollonia because it is a fragrance I’ve been wanting to know more about. Of course he gave a wonderful description of Apollonia. As for Michelyn’s introduction I was very interested to learn that Xerjoff uses iris through most of their line. This is a fragrance I would very much love to experience.

  • Sherin Thomas says:

Great review from Redolessence, and I am glad to see you guys working together. I love iris and Xerjoff. From PA, USA

  • Isaac Ogunseyitan says:

Good reviews. Thank you lord for helping me to win this treasure. Thanks Cafleurebon for making it happen

  • Another beautiful review, bravo Redolessence ! I love Xerjoff very very much. From Xerjoff iris I like Pikovaya Dama. This sound another beautiful creation of Xerjoff.
    USA

  • I love Steven style of reviewing!
I really enjoy how he describe the notes. It was interesting to hear Michelyn’s nugget about iris being “a theme or note that runs through most” of the Xerjoff line.
    This sounds beautiful. US

  • I find it so interesting that Xerjoff would name a perfume after a space mission. Very unique! Michelyn mentions the use of high quality iris which immediately piqued my interest. I love an elegant cool iris. And this is Steven’s description to a T! I love the d/c Iris Nazarena. This sounds like it might be a lovely replacement. Thanks Steven, for the review!
    I’m in the US.

  • Love Steven very detailed descriptions! This review is very intresting.
The orris butter, white musk, structural jasmine – sounds very interesting.
I love Xerjoff very much. It has very interesting powdery perfumes.
    US

  • Ani.myan11 says:

What a intresting video-review of Steven- very interesting description of notes and perfume.
    Love Michelyn’s very interesting intro.
Cold orris with clean white mask sounds very intrigued!
    Love Xerjoff, especially Alexandria 2.
    US

  • I always enjoy how in depth Steven reviews fragrances of all types. I also like that he showed the bottle presentation so clearly.

I appreciated Michelyn sharing with us why Xerjoff used Iris in Apollonia. Knowing that it is a theme in this line gives me an idea of what to expect from it as a whole. As an avid Iris fan, this is a line I would love to sample. Thanks for the review and the giveaway! In the USA.

  • When Michelyn started telling us about Neil Armstrong, I was like “such a cool inspiration for a fragrance” . The astronaut words about the moon smelling like “powder, dust and burnt charcoal.” scared me a bit, I have to admit. I thought Apollonia would be one of those “too much out there” leaning on artistic side fragrances, thankfully quality iris , and floating clouds of musk and floral description calmed me down 🙂
Velvety fragrance with traditional for Xerjoff through the roof quality , sophistication and class are enraptured well in Apollonia. I love such fragrances , just like I love Xerjoff.
My number one Xerjoff is Mefisto , it contains iris too .
Exquisite giveaway , thanks Michelyn, Steven , Europerfumes
    USA

  • Steven did a wonderful job describing the fragrance. I love Iris. Xerjoff is a wonderful fragrance brand I’m sure this smells heavenly. Thank you for this Chance. USA

  • Bryant Worley says:

I thought Steven’s review was very well thought out and thorough, and Michelyn’s introduction was very good in explaining the background/inspiration for the fragrance.
I live in Waldorf, MD, USA.
I am not a fan of “Iris” fragrances (as I do not have enough experience to be such), but I am an ‘interested party’ in “Iris”, to my knowledge the only fragrance tried is Panthea Iris by Stephane Humbert Lucas (which I liked).*

  • kepingkols says:

You can always count on Steven to be so informative! I especially enjoy how he singles out an illustrious iris as the main player despite the presence of other white florals in the fragrance, and having Michelyn concur with opulence of the iris used.

  • roseylis69 says:

I like the name and idea behind this scent.
The coolness and clean of the musk sounds wonderful.
I love the bottle looking like space also.
Don’t think I have any iris based perfumes.
    USA

  • Always enjoy Steven’s thorough reviews. This sounds like it’s different from the other Xerjoff fragrances in the Shooting Stars Collection, and I would love to try it. From the USA.

  • I love how Steven is very detailed without complicating it for those of us who are just learning about perfumes. He totally sold it for me. I also like how Michelyn introduced it in a precise way, again for those of us who are discovering niche fragrances, sometimes things get very complicated and I always appreciate a welcoming description of a brand and a product not all of us are very informed about. I have always been a big lover of fragrances, but I just recently started to actually pay attention, learn and try to understand the art behind them.

  • From Michelyn’s intro., I learned that Xerjoff uses iris often and they’ve used it in many different ways. From Steven’s review, I learned that this fragrance is a clean-smelling type of musk scent and it has a typical high-quality iris aspect to it like a lot of other Xerjoff fragrances do. I want to become more familiar with iris fragrances. I live in MD., U.S.A.

  • I really enjoyed Steven’s discussion of how the musk and oris is experienced in Apollonia. Preconceived notions may turn away a lot people, but I’m glad he discussed these notes right at the top.
Michelyn’s intro was great for setting the scene, giving us a little history going into Steven’s review.
Oris/iris is a great note, definitely one that appeals to me.
I am located in Los Angeles, CA.

“To Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, the moon smelled of “powder, dust and burnt charcoal.” ”

    Interesting information, thanks Michelyn.
Xerjoff i find to be one of the best niche brands ever created. I’m familiar with Apollonia, a bit of a departure from Xerjoff portfolio. Conceptual , not overly complicated scent. Clean musk , buttery iris and white flowers. Wears classy.
My sample is gone now , but I can say the fragrance warms up on skin, and it becomes kind of lactonic in the base.
Iris is indeed part of Xerjoff DNA, I’m wearing Shunkoin right now . Of course i love iris.
    My favorite Xerjoff is Mamluk.
Thanks to all involved in this giveaway

I like the creativity of Sergio Momo/Xerjoff. The presentation of this fragrance is right on in representing the Apollo journey to the moon. It strongly invites my expectation of what the fragrance will convey before I ever open the bottle. Looking forward to this scent. I’m a fan of Xerjoff (Nio and Erba Pura) and Iris. No brainer for me
Steve at Redolessence provided a great review on this, as usual 🙂
    Thank you!

  • wallygator88 says:

Thank you for the insightful review Stephen.

I really liked how in depth you went into this fragrance. The bottle looks beautiful and I just love how the combination of musk and iris creates this unique olfactive experience of creating this unique olfactive experience of everything that one can imagine about space – cold, airiness, vast expanses.

Thank you for the introduction Michelyn. It’s quite creazy to tink that this fragrance was inspired by a fragrment of a crashed meteorite in Siberia.

Certainly a very unique inspiration for a fragrance.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • I always enjoy Steven’s reviews. I like that he states right from the beginning that is a completely unisex fragrance. I love how he describes the buttery nature of the orris butter note. It sounds beautiful. And I love that this is meant to commemorate 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. I have very little experience with any Xerjoff fragrances. My only bottle that I own is Golden Dallah. Apollonia would be a lovely floral addition to be my 2nd of Xerjoff.
    I live in the USA.

  • Bubeto_GG says:

There was a documentary on Apollo 11 , and the 50th anniversary from the date it landed on the Moon. Discovery Channel is where I saw it i think just a few days ago. I always thought Apollo 11 was one man mission, but to my surprise I found out there was another person by the name of Buzz .
Powder , dust and burnt charcoal fragrance I would not wear. But I’m definitely interested to the feeling of me floating on clouds of white florals and musk 🙂
One of my the first niche purchases was Lira early 2012. To this day I consider Xerjoff top 5 niche brands ever, no one would deny that.
The best Xerjoff fragrances are Cruz del Sur II , followed by Golden Dallah and then comes my old love Lira.
I love Iris fragrances, if done well of course.
Thank you Steven , Michelyn Camen and Europerfumes

  • Apollonia at first was 100 bottles limited edition, and later became available for general public. I own a sample, and there’s nothing burned or dusty in it. I totally get the floating clouds comparison. The only thing I’d like to add to Michelyn and Steven fine work , is that I smell something fruity, like ripe apricot . It could be my body chemistry, but I can clearly smell it on my skin.
Naxos and La Capitale are my favorite Xerjoff beauties , and Iris is one of my guilty pleasure notes lately
    Thanks for the draw

    Actually Apollonia sounds really cool
I love this song, Michelyn and Steven collaboration reminded me of it . Eating gelato and listening the song is what I’m thinking right now.
Apollonia I can wear on dressed up formal occasions.
Sergio Momo sure loves using iris in his fragrances, Corallo , Zafiro , Pikovaya Dama and Accento I’ve smelled. Accento I actually took with me on my vacation in Spain.
Appreciate Michelyn introducing, Steven review, and the giveaway campaign
Tomorrow night I’m flying back to US

To be honest, I’m just happy to read and hear that this release doesn’t smell like charred meat, haha. What a beautiful bottle!!! I love Xerjoff fragrances and Steven and Michelyn’s descriptions sounds lovely, as I’m a huge fan of iris and white musks. I don’t think I’d be saving this one for special occasions, though.

Thank you so much for this generous draw and as always to both of them for their in depth reviews. I’m in Texas, USA.

Ahhh and I missed another draw deadline. I take a few days off and y’all post your best drawings ever! 🙂 Congrats to the “to be mentioned” winner.

  • I love Iris on my perfumes! Been a redolessence subscriber for about a week now and have been bind watching a lot of videos loving the content! What a great background set for the Apolllonia and the Apollo mission. Very brave! Love it!

  • Thank you for this video, It was a great presentation! I love Xerjoff perfume creations, beautiful bottle design, the luxury smell! such :
Erba Pura,Muse,Naxos,Alexandria 2, Cruz Del Sur 2, Kemi Hayat, Dolce Amalfi, La Tosca, Accento.(at least in my opinion).
but APOLLONIA? will be a new story

  • I wish I’d read this before ordering. Iris is so uninteresting to me. Nice bottle though, I will have to sell decants.
