Kajal Homme Review (Christian Carbonnel and Rosendo Mateu) + A Fragrance that Sings Draw

Kajal Homme Review

My first encounter with Kajal Perfumes was at Esxence 2019. I didn’t spend as much time as would have liked but I revisited the house at Max Forti’s ScentXplore event  in New York City (where I live as well). I ran into our reader/viewer Gerald Martin Moore at their booth.

Gerald Martin Moore Maestro and Sebastian jara fragrance reviewer CaFleureBon

Gerald  Martin Moore with Sebastian in NYC  (early November 2019)©

Gerald is one of the most elegant men I have met in recent years and a lover of niche perfumes (he is a well-known voice teacher and vocal consultant as well as the host of the Metropolitan Opera radio show). He was with Sebastian at ScentXplore and was testing Kajal Homme.  Gerald asked my opinion and I lifted his wrist to my nose and said”buy it”. And Gerald did.  Kajal Homme isn’t loud or showy; it’s a classically composed fragrance by perfumers Christian Carbonnel (Masque Milano Mandala, Zoologist Camel to name a few) and  Rosendo Mateau. Homme was the first fragrance for men by Kajal released in 2015, yet has that timeless classic quality. Gerald works with many musicians and singers… so it’s their voices that should soar, not his scent.  As I found with Gerald, there are times when a fragrance  should sing quietly on the skin not shout.-Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

The dominant notes in Kajal Homme are: Tonka, Cashmeran, Mandarin Orange, Guaiac Wood, Patchouli, Cardamom, Sandalwood (oud come through as well)

Disclosure: Sebastian received his bottle from Kajal Perfumes, opinions his own

  • Sebastian says Kajal Homme is one of the safest to start when exploring the line. It has soft edges and the drydown is tonka, sandalwood which also affirms the fact that it is a warm composition. I heard about the brand before but have not tried it. I am in US

  • Lyndon Earlington says:

I hope to be a winner of Kajal Homme. I’m from Jamaica and this review by Sebastian has been very good that I would love to win this bottle.

  • I really enjoyed Sebastian’s introduction of the Kajal brand as I had not heard of it before. The fact that the fragrance is described as a softer fragrance is interesting to me. Commenting fro NYC.

  • Carbonnel is a great perfumer, I would love to try Kajal Homme. Sebastian does an awesome job at describing the life of this fragrance. What a nice looking bottle! From Canada.

  • Aftekhar Khan says:

I would love to be entered into this giveaway. Sebastian provided the assurance for me that this scent is something I should consider as I had heard of Kajal fragrances being very bold and daring. At the time I had to consider something subtle for my day to day office fragrance. This is Sebastian’ view is a safer choice so definitely fits for me. I love the notes I love tonka, sandalwood, patchouli and mandarin and literally feels like my mix of ingredients. Add to that oud and we a match made in heaven. I love oud and attar as it’s something in my culture that we use a lot so strong long lasting smells are always good. I will look more into Kajal fragrances and see if they are available in the UK.

  • Love the Guaiac wood and cashmeran combo. From what Sebastian said I can see this making my reserved but well dressed rotation. I’m always open to another patchouli in the collection, too! I live in Miami, FL, USA. Unfortunately, I haven’t smelled anything from this house yet!

  • The woody notes + cardamom appeal to me. I’m only familiar with Kajal because of Sebastian’s reviews on this house, would love to try them someday. VA, USA.

  • I am from Australia, always follow Sebastian as his review is really detail and also he giving his personal taste in as well so it would make it a bit easier to imaging how the fragrance would smell like. Where I live Kajal is not where to be found in a retail shop I only can blind buy from oversea

  • Its the first time I have come across Cashmeran and the house Kajal. I love woody base notes and Cardamom is the magic note which caught my attention. An avid reader from Los Angeles, CA USA

  • hugo humphreys says:

I do not know this perfume house, but Sebastian has introduced me to some of my favourite scents.

  • Dope name, great bottle. Decent price. Comoregensive review as usual . The notes makes for a great fragrance. Cant wait to try this

  • I really enjoyed how Sebastian pointed out the elegance and sophistication of Kajal Homme in his review which made me want to finally smell it even more. In fact, only last week a friend from Belgium recommended the fragrance to me saying it would fit me so well. Maybe it is not a coincidence you are having this giveaway just now, so I am very grateful for the opportunity to win a full bottle. All the best from Germany 🙂

  • Armando Esparza says:

I am not familiar with the Kajal brand/house but after hearing Sebastian’s review of “Homme”, i feel I will begin trying and sampling Kajal’s fragrances’s starting with Homme. He mentioned Homme was safe for work, which essentially means its less-offending and softer(which he describes later as well). Very interested in the citrus and woody note combo here especially with the drydown going more pathouli and musky. Great review Sebastian! Los Angeles, CA.

  • Seymour Shait says:

Sebastian thanks for interesting video on Kajal. I have heard the name before but have never tried any of there fragrances. I am looking forward to sampling these in near future. I live in Boston, MA

  • Shamrock1313 says:

Great review by Sebastian – haven’t tried the house, but always hear Kajal perfumes are daring and I find it intriguing to say the least.
    Thanks again for the giveaway

  • Hello people,
    I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews,
particularly his analysis , the note breakdown,
    the opening,the drydown etc.
    He’s always on point.
I’m not familiar with Kajal , but i ‘d love to sample their offers,
testing new fragrances always gets me excited.
Thanks for all the awesome giveaways <3

  • I would love to explore and know more about this fragrance house, Kajal, and to start it off, I’d like to try it out with their ‘safest’ fragrance, Kajal Homme, when I win this giveaway. Thank you Sebastian for always sparking my interest into niche perfumery and burning a whole through my wallet. Commenting from Philippines

  • I’ve never had the chance to smell anything from Kajal house but i see a lot of people talking about it. On the paper, from the notes list Kajal Homme sound really good and watching Sebastian’s description in the review tells me it’s a winner. Great giveaway, thanks for the chance, i’m in the EU.

  • Fabian Medina says:

Really interesting composition for what Sabastian states on his review. Love his honest reviews. One of the best out there.

  • I love Kajal, great fragrances and the names they use are spectacular.
And as always Sebastian’s review was comprehensive Neutral and fair.

  • anjan.chris@gmail.com says:

Since the name has its roots from India, I am excited to experience how the dry down.
Based on the ingredients, I am expecting a lingering, zesty and earthy punch. Look forward to experiencing it first hand

  • Ted Ibrahimi says:

Really enjoyed Sebastian’s review of Kajal Homme; concise, detailed and unbiased. So far I have sampled Jihan and Dahab from Kajal and have loved them both. Unfortunately, they are out of my price range at the moment. Having had the chance to also sample some of Rosendo Mateu’s work, I can only expect Kajal Homme to be a true gem. I sincerely hope to have the chance to finally add a Kajal perfume to my (humble) collection by entering this giveaway.

Much love from the Netherlands! 🙂

  • Fabian Medina says:

Love love love Sebastians honest reviews. This is a very interesting composition and would love to win a bottle.

  • I love Kajal, great fragrances and the names they use are spectacular.
And as always Sebastian’s review was comprehensive Neutral and fair.
    All love from Oberhausen Germany

  • This is the first time I’ve heard of Kajal, but now I am intrigued! Sebastian describes Homme as pretty office safe, which I can definitely appreciate, as I love eastern perfumes but worry if I can pull them off in close quarters. I am in the US!

  • Keith O Halloran says:

Sounds so beautiful and delicious by the way Sebastian describes it. The bottle and colour of the juice is Devine.

  • Thank you for the great introduction to this fragrance house. One of best channels about fragrance world. Great brand, I’ve tried only a fragrance from this house and it was awesome, I would try Kajal Homme also if I am a girl cause I think perfumes shouldn’t have gender. Thanks for the giveaway, commenting from Italy!

  • Patrick Alexander says:

I’ve heard a bit about Kajal in the past and have been curious about their offerings. With Sebastian describing this one as warm, classy and elegant, what’s not to like? Will seek this out. (Canada)

  • Greatings from Cairo, the Guaiac wood and cashmeran sounds like a great combo in the heart notes. I think it would be not as bold and daring as Kajal’s other offerings.

  • Sebastian’s review really piqued my interest. His description was spot on as usual. Tonka, Cashmeran, Mandarin Orange, Guaiac Wood, Patchouli, Cardamom, Sandalwood and some oud sounds like a beautiful scent that you can use in many different occasions. I’ve never tried anything from this house before but I’d love to. Thanks for the great review and the great giveaway. Commenting from Kentucky USA.

  • I like that you describe what environment this works well in. I work in offices so I don’t want fragrances that are too overpowering.

With this particular fragrance, I like that it’s an aromatic, woody fragrance. I’ve recently had comments from colleagues that the scent of citrus is starting to bore them. This will surely turn some heads!

Oh, and I live in the UK!
    Thanks!

  • Just the notes combination has me intrigued. As well as Sebastian describing it not overpowering and wont offend while maintaining its classiness and masculiness. I am not familiar with the Kajal Perfumes house or the note of Cashmeran that is in this particular fragrance but would love to win and give it a lifetime of trying. I live in Utah.

  • Love Sebastian’s reviews! Have been enjoying aromatic woody scents. Like that you can wear it to the office, just what I’m looking for!

  • As always a nice review by Sebastian. As Sebastian explained Kajal Homme is ideal for office/signature scent worthy with both bright and warm notes. From what he has said it seems a classy gentlemanly perfume. Never found a Kajal perfume in India, very eager to get one in my collection. Love Chris Carbonell’s Mandala as I own it.

  • Love Sebastian’s reviews! Have been enjoying aromatic woody scents. Like that you can wear it to the office, just what I’m looking for! Forgot in prior post to mention where I’m from, California, USA.

  • Kajal Homme sounds like the perfect fit for me as the notes breakdown comprises all my favorite notes in one fragrance. I absolutely trust Sebastian’s honest reviews and that is why I think I will feel safe wearing it for a variety of occasions. It’s a classic fragrance for men and I like the fact that this one isn’t to loud and still noticeable. I have no experience with the house of Kajal but I can’t wait to get my nose on Kajal Homme. The two perfumers have a great reputation and so I think one cannot go wrong with this one. I live in Florida.

  • I have been interested in this fragrance ever since I heard Moe, the founder of Kajal, describe it in a video. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find samples anywhere, so getting a bottle would be great. I enjoyed Sebastian’s breakdown of the notes, and also hearing that it’s safe and could be a signature scent. I’m from Chicago, IL in the USA.

  • Wonderful review by Sebastian as always. Never tried this house before. Kajal Homme seems nice, with oud, tonka beans, patchouli, sandalwood as the base and citrus on top. I love oud but nice to know it doesn’t have the initially stinging quality of oud, though I wouldn’t mind it because of the heaven that awaits me after some patience. Thanks for the review and the drawing. Writing from USA.

  • That cap kicks butt. Reminds me of a throwing star. Seb’s mentioned Kajal a few times before, so I’m familiar with the brand, but have never sniffed anything from them. Great to hear that Homme is a safe option for the office, but I amost feel like it could’ve used some lavender absolute in place of the cashmeran?? Although with a strong mandarin it can go either way. Anyway, class is what it’s all about, and if Seb says it’s classy, I trust his judgement. Love saying the brand name too. Like a swift karate chop to the nose. Ka-JAL! And bow. Canada.

  • I have entered their last giveaway but I haven’t tried any from this house. I wasn’t planning on entering but when Sebastian mentioned it was a safe fragrance and that women can wear this, I’m totally in. Love the packaging too. If I win, I can share this with my husband too. IL, USA

  • Sebastian is one of the best at describing what a fragrance smells like or what images it conjures up. Kajal Homme really sounds like something that I could enjoy this winter.

    I live in Australia.

I have not heard of Kajal Perfumes before seeing Sebastian’s video.

    Thank you for this opportunity!

  • Loved Carbonelle’s Camel for Zoologist. Own kajal’s Warek, a good incense/leather perfume but would like to discover his take on a traditional masculine. Bought couple of perfumes in the past upon Sebastian’s praise, and was not disappointed. based in Lebanon

  • I’ve sampled a few perfumes by Carbonnel before, most noticeable the Zoologist collaboration. He is very talented. There’s nothing in the listed notes I don’t love. As Sebastian notes, this seems like a classic composition and very well done. I’ve not tried any Kajal perfumes before. MD. USA

  • I’ve only recently discovered Smelling Great and I just can’t stop watching Sebastian’s interesting videos. Such a contagious passion for scents!

  • I haven’t heard from this house, but Sebastian is a well informed person about any perfumes and fragrances and I would love to give it a try in a near future.

  • Sebastian puts fragrances in a context and I appreciate that very much. A friend of mine loves flamboyant, beastly fragrances in his personal life but has been searching for something for the office. He wants a good fragrance with interesting notes that will not offend. From Sebastian’s review, this seems like a very good candidate. I am not familiar with Kajal but I am intrigued. I am in Canada.

  • Fernando Kaiser says:

Great review, Sebastian (as always)! I have no fragrance from maison Kajal. Kajal Homme seems a good start. Very interested on this one. Sad that we don’t have any representatives from the brand here in Brazil. Hope the best.

  • This sounds like a bold one based on Sebastian’s review. He really sheared his thoughts on this and I’m so interested in sampling this.
    I live in USA.
I only heard about Kajal through this review.

  • Fernando Kaiser says:

Great review, Sebastian (as always)! I have no fragrance from maison Kajal. Kajal Homme seems a good start. Very interested on this one. Sad that we don’t have any representatives from the brand here in Brazil. Hope the best!

  • Angela Tiegs says:

Good evening, I really enjoyed how Sebastian compares to the other two scents from this house. It’s a nice starting point. I am excited by the Guaiac Wood and Cashmeran, and would really love to win this bottle. I love the videos and very much respect Sebastion’s opinions.
I am new to Kajal Perfumes and very much want to experience this scent.

    Thank you for my entry.

  • Denise Dobbins says:

Sebastian describes fragrances in detail like an author of books, always enlightening and very educational. This fragrance sounds so good I want to buy, like now!

  • Josh Teriyaki says:

Good video from sebastian. I have not heard of this brand before. I am Just learning about niche fragrances. This one sounds nice would like to try this thanks for the chance to win. From USA

  • I liked how Sebastian, as usual, was careful to create accurate expectations for the fragrance. And again, as usual, he walked us through the different phases of the experience of wearing it. It sounds like a winner. I live in the US, in NC, and I am not familiar with any Kajal fragrances, but Sebastian has piqued my interest.

  • I have heard of Kajal perfume quite a bit frequently. I loved how in the review, Sebastian described this to be for women too than just men, due to the soft notes of vanilla and tonka beans. Syracuse, NY.

  • Who can refuse an elegant and masculine fragrance! Sebastian’s description of Kajal Homme as a classy, warm scent with spicy touches indeed sound perfect for the office. Have not heard of this brand before so thanks for the introduction. Regards from Boston USA.

  • I love oriental perfumes. Especially during harsh winters like the one we have up north in Ottawa, Canada. Sebastian’s review is good as always. I enjoyed the breakdown of the notes and his overall impressions of this juice. Don’t know the noses behind it so it would be a nice opportunity to smell their creation. I also like the rich design of the bottle. Reminds me of the kufi style of the Arabic calligraphy.
    Cheers
    Chaka, Canada

  • Hi, I’m from Italy! I’ve never tried anything from this house before but I’m very intrigued: first of all, the packaging is stunning and I also usually love the cardamom + woody notes combo! I have the same opinion as Sebastian regarding classy fragrances: to me, a classy fragrance does not offend anyone and it’s not too overwhelming. I would love to win the fragrance so I could try it, considering Sebastian said it can be worn by ladies as well!

  • I’ve recently started enjoying orange in fragrances lately. Would love to try this one. Sebastian’s other review was the first time I’d heard of this house. Michigan, USA.

  • Kajal Homme quietly makes a statement as a skin scent. So often scents are over the top and cannot be worn on a daily basis. This seems not the case. I am not familiar with Kajal Perfumes, but Sebastian’s review is an excellent start. Thank you for the review and the generous draw. I’m in the USA

  • Gabriel Garcia Leyva says:

    Nice review Sebastián.
Kajal sounds good, and very soft on the edges, this could be very wearable, although I think the cashmeran has that fem touch, which I like so much.
    Great release.
    NV USA

  • I enjoyed how Sebastian mentiones the Mandarin orange note disappears but comes back throughout the heart of the perfume. Also the dry down as he described it sounds lovely. I have heard of Kajal Perfumes and smelled a couple at ScentXplore as well but do not own any and didnt get to try this one. I do remember liking Jihan though. I live in the U.S. Thanks for the generous draw.

  • Gabriel Cote says:

Sebastian’s review was very extensive as always, where he logically depicts the notes of the fragrance and also talks aobut how they perform together and appropriate uses for the scent. I am unfamiliar with Kajal Perfumes but after researching them some I am pretty interested. I live in Texas.

  • aurelaarvidas says:

I haven’t heard about Kajal house previously. But from Sebastian’s review, I’m really excited bout this. The bottle looks REALLY GOOD, and the notes, I’ve been dreaming for the notes like that! Sebastian describe the notes really well as always which makes me want to make it as my signature fragrance and wear it everyday.
I’m from Malaysia and I hope I can win the bottle.

  • Sebastian mentions that this is a classy masculine fragrance. I am in dire need of more classy masculine fragrances. As I glance over my small collection I realize that I have mostly summer freshies and mass appealing fragrances. I need something to set me apart from the crowd and I feel like this may be it. Especially coming from Christian Carbonnel. I’ve smelled many of his concoctions and from what I’ve tried they are fantastic. Most notably Camel from Zoologist. I love that fragrance. Thanks for the opportunity. FL, USA.

  • I enjoyed Sebastian’s youtube reivew on Kajal Homme. I got to sample some Kaja perfumes at ScentXplore last year and was blow away of the complexity and quality of the fragrances. My cousin even bought one for his wedding at the booth.

I would love to win a bottle of Kajal Homme. thanks.

  • A versatile oud fragrance. Sounds like a safe and beautiful cologne.
First heard of this house on Sebastian’s top 10 masculine colognes.
    KY, USA

  • Joshua Hoffman says:

I love how Sebastian goes into depth about a fragrance, really love the vanilla Tonka bean, sandalwood type of vibe! Really hope I win, it would be nice to get some more colognes I have 11 designers as of now, I’m from the US

  • geomegalogiannis says:

I didn’t know that house but thanks to Sebastian I learn about it! Kajal sounds amazi g to my personal favorite fragrance notes! And I wish I will win this!!

  • geomegalogiannis says:

Oh I forgot to say on my comment that I leave in Greece and I don’t know how to edit my comment.. :/ so once again I hope I ll win kajal sounds amazing!

  • i am not familiar with Kajal perfumes and i would love the chance to win a perfume from this house. i love that despite the fact that this has a couple of my favourite notes (cardamom and Oud ) he mentioned that this perfume wont offend any one and that it is suitable for an office , that made me wonder how did they manage to do that despite the heavy notes.i am from ON , Canada .

  • Hikmat Sher Afridi says:

I think Kajal Homme’s short description as the timeless classic quality and safe to wear is enough, a bit surprised Oud being not traceable or dominant note. Great review once again by Sebastian Jara.
Thanks for your generosity, count me in, please. Pakistan

  • My Husband introduced me to Sebastian’s fragrance reviews. I love discovering new houses and wearing scents that are uncommon and unique. This is my first time hearing about Kajal and I especially love scents that my Husband and I can both wear. I prefer more masculine scents, but love great citrus notes as well. Creed’s Virgin Island Water and Aventus are colognes he bought that we love and share. Would love a chance to introduce him to a new house, as he shares my love of discovering new things.

  • Hello from OKC! My Husband introduced me to Sebastian’s fragrance reviews. I love discovering new houses and wearing scents that are uncommon and unique. Creed’s Virgin Island Water and Aventus are colognes he bought that we love and share. Would love a chance to introduce him to a new house, as he shares my love of discovering new things.

  • I’m in USA and not familiar. I loved that he pulled out his other bottles. They all are gorgeous!

  • What I like about this review, and Sebastian’s reviews in general, is that he speaks from the point of view of someone who wants to please himself with perfumes instead of others. His experience with the product is more important than the experience of the people around him when he wears it, so his opinion on the subject is always centered around the beauty of the composition, not its performance or what other think of it. Also, he seems to keep his views as objective as possible, which makes him a tremendously reliable reviewer. My nose trusts his.

  • imranabdullah says:

As always Sebastian’s review is very honest and comprehensive. Always love to watch his informative and detailed review about new fragrances. I am not familiar with Kajal House but Kajal Homme’s notes breakdown sounds very interesting for ME. After watching Sebastian’s I will definitely look into this house.
    With Love from Dubai UAE.

  • Jalesa Knight-Baker says:

I haven’t personally got to try this fragrance house as yet as I don’t think it’s as accessible in Canada (where I’m from) but Sebastian’s descriptions always make them sound amazing!! The base notes especially sound amazing as they happen to be all the key notes I look for in a scent ♥️

  • I was not familiar with Kajal Perfumes before these reviews. I enjoyed the thoroughness of Sebastian’s review. His review is wonderfully detailed and I look forward to sampling the fragrance. I have added it to my list of fragrances to try based on his review. I live in New Orleans.

  • I have not heard about Kajal Perfumes Paris, Kajal Homme sounds like a safe buy fragrance. I’ll be doing more research on this house and watching more Kajal fragrance reviews by Sebastian. Texas, USA

  • I am new to the fragrance game and the house of Kajal. The way Seb described the fragrance it looks very interesting and I would be happy to try the same. Please include me in the giveaway. I am from Singapore.

  • I love the idea of mandarin orange mixing throughout the entire experience, like it flits as a shadow, playing with the ever changing mood of the scent. I am not familiar with this perfume house at all, so this would be delightful! I live in the USA, in New Hampshire. Thanks for such a great opportunity!!

  • Sebastian’s review has a great personal perspective about the fragrance. I am not familiar with Kajal fragrances, but love the look, presentation, notes and description, and would love to try. I live in TX, USA.

  • Lefteris Fotopoulos says:

I would love to try this creation from Carbonelle. As always Sebastian described it perfectly and made me want to try it. I live in Greece.

  • What I enjoyed about Sebastian’s review is his complete explanation of this Kajal perfume. Not just explaining what scents he is picking up and the ingredients but what situations this perfume can be worn.
I like to smell good all the time – I like to separate what perfumes I wear when I am at work in my shop and what I wear when I am at home or socialising.
I am not familiar with any of Kajal’s perfumes but I am interested to explore their range. (The box is very eye catching!)
I would love Kajal Homme to be my work perfume.
    I live in Australia.

  • This is the first time I’ve ever heard of Kajal Perfumes. It sounds like a great fragrance. I must admit that I had no clue what cassis was until today. The bottle cap looks very cool. I like how Sebastian always walks the viewer through all the notes and the various stages of the fragrance. I’m located in the US for the giveaway.

  • cafleurebon is one of the more detail blogs i ever read.Sebastian way of explanation is very easy on ears. I live in Islamabad, Pakistan and saw review of Kajal Perfumes on Sebastian and other YouTube channels.

  • What I enjoyed most about Sebastian’s review was how he gave equal attention to his own personal experience with the fragrance, but still kept it objective too.
That helps us who haven’t tried it yet get a better grasp on what it may smell like.

Often people don’t balance that well and you end up missing something.

    I’m from Ireland.

  • Sebastian gives very honest reviews. He does a fabulous job of describing fragrance notes & accords. Kajal is a new fragrance line for me and I am intrigued by the packaging as well as curious to try the scents.

  • Sebastian’s review was very descriptive and to the point. I always enjoy his content. I live in Fresno, CA and have never heard of Kajal before.

  • Sebastian always does a pretty good job of describing the notes, the feeling and the vibe a certain fragrance gives, as well as talking about the performance of a fragrance. And kajal homme was no exception. I’ve seen kajal fragrances in my city and was always curious about them, so I think this would be a great opportunity to explore more. BTW I’m from Tehran, Iran.

  • Sebastian’s reviews are always passionate, in-depth and informative. I’ve not tried any of Kajal’s fragrances and would love to try out Kajal Homme – it sounds like a stunner and I’ve appreciated beautiful, quiet perfumes much more lately. I’m in USA

  • Bryant Worley says:

I appreciated Sebastian’s pointing out that this fragrance is soft, but masculine. I can appreciate that. His enthusiasm, coupled with Michelyn’s enthusiasm, makes this a must-try (have?). I’m only familiar with Kajal through videos I’ve seen. I live in Waldorf, MD,USA.

  • I am an avid viewer of Sebastian and knew Kajal because he mentioned it few times throughout his other videos. What I enjoyed the most from Sebastian’s YouTube review is he considered it one of his top 20 classy masculine fragrances. I am extremely intrigued with the ingredients.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the Kajal Homme is a safe and versatile fragrance that can be used virtually anywhere. I would love to start off with Kajal Homme and advance my way into other selections.

I currently reside in Los Angeles and it would be a great honor to be able to own a bottle of Kajal Homme to my collection. I am not familiar with Kajal, but if Sebastian has high regards, then I am all in.

  • Wilson Siavichay says:

Kajal was my top 3 best perfumes house in the scentxplore event, my wife love Dahab and I bought for her in the event and I really like the Kajal Homme, is a classic, and elegant perfume for a man in a modern twist. Captured my attention in the first smell.

I heard a lot about this house, but I have not tried any of its offerings. This one specifically sounds perfect for everyday wear according to Sebastian’s great review. Hopefully I can get the bottle.

  • Steliyan Syarov says:

Thank you for the review Sebastian. The bottle is beautiful and I can imagine that the juice inside would smell amazing as well. Love spicy fragrances and fruity as well. Greetings from Austria!

  • From Sebastian’s reviews I understood that the Kajal Perfumes brand for women, in addition to being wonderfully oriental, is very bold, it does not go unnoticed. From the description this perfume is more “soft” but has the same sophisticated imprint. It looks like a classic that never goes out of style. REALLY NICE.

  • Love Sebastian and his reviews which bring the frags to life. I’ve heard other reviews of Kajal frags from Sebo but have yet to try any. I’d love to try this one in the USA.

  • Intrigued by the notes especially patchouli, oud, guaic wood. Sebastian says that is is clasdy and masculine sounds like something right up street. Thanks from the UK

  • Fascinating note breakdown loving the notes of patchouli, sandalwood, cardamom, oudh and guaic wood. I love that it is masculine and classy sounds great. Thanks a million from United Kingdom

  • always informative. i like that short list of notes, specifically tonka, mandarin & patchouli. nice bottle, too. nope, not familiar with kajal b4 this; do now, in california—thank you!

  • Konstantin Dadykin says:

I have been following Sebastian for quite some time now. Kajal brand is completely new to me. The notes of the fragrance reviewed sound very much like I would like to wear it every day. Love masculine subtle fragrances. I am from Amsterdam, the Netherlands

  • I have been following Sebastian for quite some time now. The Kajal brand is completely new to me. This one (woody, musky, masculine) sounds like the one I would like to wear everyday. From Amsterdam, the Netherlands

  • I am always weary of fragrances containing patchouli, cardamom and mandarin, but if Sebastian says this one is sophisticated and elegant, I certainly take his word for it! I didn’t know Kajal before, this is a good opportunity to do so. I am in France, EU.

  • I really enjoyed how Sebastian goes in detail on all the notes, the way they affect the scent’s development and how the notes feel. Finally I like how he mention who this scent is suitable for. I love that about all his videos.
    I live in Kenya
I am not familiar with Kajal scents, this would be a great place to start as Sebastian suggested. I would very much like to explore this house.

  • Haven’t tried any of Kajal perfumes, but I do love the bottle design 🙂 I don’t mind safe scents and masculine leading ones so I`d be happy to test this one. Sebastian says the mandarin keeps creeping in and this is one of the reasons I`m even more curious about Kajal Homme. Greetings from Romania, EU

  • I really enjoy Sebastian’s take on fragrances. To a large extent, so far I’ve liked whatever he liked in fragrances, e.g. dior homme parfum, fahrenheit parfum being my favorites as well. Unfortunately I couldn’t find Kajal fragrance in New Zealand, I’d love to get my nose on them and order handful of them.

    Hosein from New Zealand.

  • The noses’ behind the house are two of my favourite, in particular, Christian Carbonnel for the houses’ of Sospiro and a couple more Middle Eastern ones, with Salim Bagh 1619 (house of Tabacora), hence I am keen to sample the offerings from Kajal. However, Kajal’s samples are hard to find if any, therefore, I may have to resort to making a blind purchase when available at a more attractive price! Great vid as usual and regards to Dalya (she is such fun)!

  • It’s great that Kamal Homme is being reviewed. I love the notes and when Seb spoke about great silage it got my attention.
I’m an Olympic Athelte from Mozambique residing is South Africa and I haven’t seen this fragrance around. If Seb reviews it then it’s up there with the Beyredos and Helfetis.
    I would
    Love to win this.

  • I really enjoy that Sebastian says this is a great introduction to the house because I have seen reviews of some other fragrances on Youtube and some sound a bit more challenging than others, but this seems really great and super high quality. I live in PA in the USA and aside from watching reviews, i’ve never experienced any Kajal fragrances in store.

Hi, i am Paul Vaessen and i follow smelling great fragrances on facebook and YouTube. I am living in the Netherlands Europe. I like Sebastians reviews, in this way i can discover new niche brands. I saw one of the Kajal fregrances in another review from Sebastian in You tube. This one Kajal Homme i did’nt know. I like wody fragrances and i am very interesrted how it smells in the combination with mandarin an orange notes. In addition i think it’s good when you can wear this fragrance when you go to work KR from the Netherlands Paul

  • First off love the selection of fragrances you review on you channel this house looks fantastic from presentation to the notes in the fragrances would really love to try this house at some point!

  • Whoever designer Kajal hired for Jihan bottle, he, or she did astonishing work. If I have to rate the bottle I’ll give it 100/100.
I’m in tailoring business, and when I’m working with clients I like to wear classy, just a bit masculine fragrance.
Kajal Homme fits the bill perfectly.
I have sample of Dahab I received in a swap. Sweet juicy gourmand done really well. Smells natural to me, which is rare for gourmands.
Thank you, such a great draw.

    Enjoy!
    Very nice!
    Nice!

  • Haven’t heard about Kajal at all so color me curious. Sebastian, once again, did a short, but to the point description that got me interested. “Soft, woody, mandarin, tonka, easy to wear”. That sound’s right up my alley. So please add me to the draw. I live in Germany.

  • Sebastian is a great reviewer. I love watching his reviews. I think kajal perfumes are the best. ( According to the review). I will try it asap.

  • I love Sebastian’s description on the notes and what it reminds him of, his’s description of scents is extremely envisioning and I can totally see myself wearing this!

Located in Canada, never tried Kajal and excited to try it!

  • Trisha Withrow says:

I always enjoy Sebatian’s description and knowledge about the fragrance! He is great at reviews. I live in Illinois, USA. I have not tried any of the offerings from this house…but might try to get my nose on the rose one. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • This fragrance sounds very good from the base of Sebastian’s review. I’m not familiar with this brand. Thanks for the chance. I live in Europe.

  • I’ve heard a lot about this house. I found Sebastions review very informative. I been wanting to try this house for some time.

  • I never heard of this brand before. I do not think it’s available to try in my area. I love the notes. Tonka and Sandalwood are my 2 favorite notes. Along with non-animalic oud. It’s definitely something I would enjoy. Sebastian’s review is good in the sense I was able to experience the perfume without actually applying it. Thanks for the giveaway. NJ/USA

  • Kajal! Worth trying! Love these kinds of oriental woody parfume. Makes me more interested in fragrances. Thank you!

  • Great review as always. If Sebastian says it is one of the safest, than is it ok to get a blind buy? I hope so! The notes seems to give it a warm, woody vibe. A must have in my collection!
    Best regards from Poland!

  • I appreciate a fragrance that can become your signature. Perfect for the office, not offensive, the kinda of fragrance when a man walks by you s top for a moment. Warm, woody, elegant. I think Elegant did it for me! I use to work in men’s corporate wear and I know what a signature fragrance can do for a man. It sets him apart. The main players in this one are lusciously warm. I want this one for my husband and I might borrow it too! USA

  • Been a longtime subscriber of Sebastian. Always live his casual, calm and collected style. Kajal sounds right up my alley. I love any woody fragrance with patchouli in the base. Cardamom is also a favorite note. I’m from Pakistan! 🙂

  • I live in a country where Kajal fragrances will be difficult to find. After watching Sebastian’s review, I knew I would like to be a contender in the giveaway. We are are close in age and he has been spot on with all fragrances that I’ve purchased based on his recommendation. Now as for this fragrance. It has all the notes I love, classy bottle, and I would make it my signature scent for the office. I want to be the only Ozzie that has this. Ive only heard about this fragrance house , based on previous reviews by Sebastian.

  • I am not familiar with Kanal perfumes.

I liked about Sebastians review that it gave me a good idea about how this scent might smell, and that it is worthy exploring!

Sebastian reviews are always so detailed that what I like about his reviews. Also, that bottle design is stunning. It looks something along the lines of art deco and middle eastern artistry.

  • ScentitarFragrance says:

I enjoyed that sebastion told us the main accords and how they feel of course ! I do love that he told us the category or style of the fragrance too ! I love that he told us who this fragrance might be most attractive too as well. I love these notes and this is my kind of fragrance, but I haven’t tried Kajal yet !I live in Mississippi, USA

  • Sunny Chaudhary says:

Sebastian provided the assurance for me that this scent is something I should consider as I had heard of Kajal fragrances being very bold and loud.

I know about Kajal Perfumes but never tried them so it would be my first if I win.

    Thanks for the opportunity.

  • Mathew Boddiford says:

As always, the thing I appreciate most about Sebastian is his knowledge of notes. The way he said mandarin keeps popping up in the scent makes me excited to try as here in Florida that is a killer note for our heat and humidity. I have not had a chance to smell kajal just yet but this was the scent I was wondering if I should experience first and Sebastian has confirmed it!

Thanks for the opportunity for a giveaway and the continuous content!

  • Christopher Carr says:

Hello good folks, pray all is well. I’ve wanted to try out this scent for a while but they do not sell samples. They had when they first came out with homme but I dont why samples are not for purchase since 180 is the pretty pricey. But anyway I would like to be entered for a chance to win. Good luck everyone and thanks smelling great lol. Have a goodnight.

  • I really enjoyed Sebastian’s introduction of the Kajal Homme. Tonka been, musk, orange, guaiac – sounds very beautiful. And it’s perfect that this parfum is very elegant and easy-wearing perfume.
Unfortunately, I’ve never tested Kajal perfumes.

  • The bottle is gorgeous, extremely detailed, and I bet the fragrance must be lovely as well, at least based on the note provided. I whole-heartedly love the subtly beauty side of fragrance, instead of the more aggressive mainstream trend. I never heard of this house before, as so I would love to have a chance to try it one day. I am in Canada.

  • Sebastian does a great job introducing me to this house. I haven’t tried a Kajal fragrance but this woody cashmeran sandalwood one sounds like a perfect place to start. New Jersey, USA.

  • I always like Sebastian’s reviews. For this one I appreciated that he said it was a relatively safe fragrance, rather than something edgy. That is a very useful thing to know when deciding whether to hunt down a sample for my husband. USA

Another amazing review by Sebastian, always enjoyed how detailed he is with his explanations and the different situations he wears the fragrance. I live in Australia and have been looking at Kajal as a house for quite a while. It would be amazing if I could try one of their perfumes to get a rough idea on the style of the house.

  • I’ve watched your video on YouTube for a year. I’m from Hong Kong and your fragrance reviews are impressive. So I would like to try Kajal Homme.

  • There’s always a new house and fragrance that you guys and Sebastian introduce me to and yet the reviews and thoughts are always different. I’m not familiar with this house but I’m curious on how 2 perfumers collaborated on this and to smell the result. I live in NYC

  • Andrei-Cristian Radescu says:

I really enjoyed that Sebastian pointed out this fragrance. I am familiar with this house, as I’ve sampled some of their fragrances in the store, but never this one. I’m really curious in trying it out. Greetings from Romania!

  • As always, the thing I enjoyed the most is the excellent nose that Sebastian has, I don’t think any reviewer can match it. The depth of the this review, and that goes for all others is staggering. As for the house, I have heard of them now, and hopefully I’ll grab the discovery set or something similar because I’m very interested after watching the review. I live in Croatia, hopefully I’ll win the bottle, I’ll put it to good use 🙂

  • Hey there,
My current quest to discover an office safe and possible signature scent might have ended, as Sebastian introduced me to Kajal Homme. Unfortunately i haven’t had the pleasure to try perfumes from this house, but i hope i get the chance with this give away. Looking forward to it.
    Greetings from Germany

  • Thanks to Sebastian for this review and already had my eyes on this perfume since his Classy frangrance list a little while ago. I am amazed by his in depth knowledge and how he is able to put words to feelings I have when I wear perfume. Also, as he has excellent taste I am certain I will like this fragrance although unfamiliar with the brand. Cross fingers and continue the excellent work on both Cafleurebon and Sebastian’s sites!

  • I am not familiar with this house but i would love to know more about Kajal fragrance house.

I love all of Sebastian’s reviews.. he’s always so honest and does a wonderful job of describing the fragrances in a way that lands with the viewer, no matter what their background with perfume. I would love to be entered as I think my partner would really enjoy this fragrance. This is my first time hearing of the Kajal line! I live in Austin, TX. Thank you!

  • Bold and cocky fragrance, I can confidently wear when I’m dressed up.
That’s how I feel about Kajal Homme.
Thank you Sebastian for the review, and Kajal the giveaway .
USA most of the year, and Germany from time to time

  • Loved the review! The notes sound great and the bottle is really pleasing to the eye (speaking of which–that’s a great selfie of those gentlemen!). This house is new to me, I’m in the US.

  • I’ve never heard about Kajal before but I really like Camel which is one of Carbonell’s creations for Zoologist.
The description is great, soft edges and easy to wear and warm with tonka and sandalwood. The bottle looks great as well.

    Many thanks.

  • A warm fragrance with cardamom, tonka beans, and patchouli? Sold! Thank you for the review and the introduction to this house.

  • Looking for a quiet, classy and different scent to fall in love with. Patchouli and Orange are a favorite combo. I live in the USA.

  • Sebastian classifying the fragrance as safe and not loud is like preparing for watching a movie : you get yourself comfortably seated, popcorn and coke at hand, ready to dive in :). Only this time it’s not about the story on the screen, but of the scent and of the notes Sebastian is describing.
Not familiar with this house, living in EU.

  • I love to read perfume reviews, specially those ones showing a great knowledge and great passion for the perfume industry. My husband will love to have this perfume. I’m commenting from Orlando, Fl

  • Fruity opening and woody base ? Hmmm With all the notes Sebastian mentioned Kajal Homme should be 100% unisex. Bottle design is fantastic , sounds well made , sure i want it Lol
I also really want to try Dahab
    Thank you for the opportunity
Back and forth between USA and Scotland. 1 week in US -> 1 week in Scotland (UK/EU) , and so on. Basically both USA and EU at the same time

  • Just love the the way that Sebastian describes it detailed review as always,I’d like to taste that mandarin orange seems pretty much exotic to me, and also I’m from Europe Croatia

  • Being a vain guy I’m sure Kajal Homme will get me lots of positive attention. If Sebastian is describing it in such a way, and also claimed it’s one of the best masculine fragrances on the market Kajal Homme will be spectacular.
On a date with a classy lady I would wear it.
I don’t know Kajal yet, I’ll try to find samples.
    Wonderful giveaway. USA/FRANCE
    Regards

  • Kajal Homme sounds lovely! I had heard of Kajal from Sebastian’s other videos, but Homme sounds the most appealing to me of those he has mentioned despite being considered so ‘safe’. It incorporates several of my favorite notes (gaïac wood, cardamom, tonka, oud, vanilla) and the middle of the fragrance development, where the heart notes are most prominent but the mandarin orange reappears, sounds divine. I would love to own this fragrance! I am in the US 🙂

  • I loved Sebastian’s description of this oriental woody perfume with soft touches from the musk and warmth provided by the spices. The fact Sebastian has featured it in his Top 20 and his praises really triggered my interest. The presentation is absolutely precious as well. I am not familiar with Kajal perfumes. I am in the EU.

  • Another excellent review from Sebastian. Concise and very informative. I loved his take on the cashmeran note and the fact that Kajal Homme is a safe, but elegant fragrance.
I’ve been reading reviews about Kajal perfumes, but haven’t had the chance to try them. The bottles are stunning.
I’m looking forward to sample more from this house. Thank you for the chance.
    Greetings from Romania, EU!

  • Kajal is underrated house imo . I’ve smelled or sampled all prior the new flower kind of rings line . If i have to rate my favorite 3:
1.Kajal Homme , versatile fragrance, pleasing and elegant .
2.Dahab , mouthwatering juicy fragrance. Very different compared to Homme , way more playful.
3.Fiddah, changeling one depending on the weather. When it’s hot it’s sweeter Leather with jelly ranchers , but when it’s cold or raining I get also prominent mix of burning tobacco and ashtray.
If you big on performance, Dahab is significantly stronger than Homme are Fiddah.
    Thanks a lot.

  • Such attention to detail is uncommon for $185 fragrance. Smells good, presentation is second to none, I’m really eager to try it.
I well remember Jihan review Sebastian did with Dalya on YouTube (you should ask her to do reviews on Cafleurebon, she’s good). I’ll gladly wear Kajal Homme while working with clients. I’m in tailoring business.
    Exquisite giveaway, thanks.

  • What a beautiful video-review. Great job, Sebastian.
first of all I like presentation-rich as arabian style. Than I liked that as Sebastian said, this perfume is not typical arabic perfume, but more elegant, gentlemanly perfume, suitable for office.
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with Kajal perfumes.

I have heard so many amazing things about the Kajal brand, but unfortunately, have not had the pleasure to try any of their offerings. This is a brand I have been dying to try an will get my hands on at some point in the future. The notes in Kajal Homme all sound great and like they would be a treat when blended together. I will definitely be adding this one to my list, as well as Jihan and Dahab that Sebastian mentions in the video as well. They sound fantastic with the saffron and rose combo, and the passion fruit and apple combo…. WOW. They sound phenomenal! Thank you Sebastian, for adding a few more to my list of must buys. I want all 3 you have mentioned! This was another superb review and I am looking forward to the next one! Thank you to Kajal Perfumes, for your generosity and for this excellent opportunity! This is truly appreciated! Thank you to Michelyn, as always, for putting this all together, and bringing us this content and draw! Commenting from Delaware, US.

Sebastian, great review of Kajal Homme. Sebastian, describes this fragrance as an inoffensive everyday signature scent with a modern touch. A nice amber, cardamom, and some nice woodsy cashmeran and guiac wood combo. I am not familiar with Kajal fragrances, but I would love to win this giveaway and try this one out. I am from Ohio, USA.

  • So I probably missed this one and really wanted to try it. Being a single dad it’s really hard to justify the purchase but damn this bottle looks dope and the fregrance seems up my alley. I’m from California sacromanto.
