A WISH Will I ever have a chance
to sleep by the River of Love,
look on the mountain of Long Life,
and dip my vision in Sun Moon Lake
to be able to live more happily
in just any confinement.

Montri Umavijani (1941 2006)

Just a few months after the release of the soulful, iris-centered Parfums Dusita Splendiris, the brand’s founder/perfumer Pissara Umavijani takes her impressionistic approach to fragrance making one step further: her brand new creation, Parfums Dusita Le Pavillon D’Or, is a multi-layered oeuvre of bold, and somewhat unexpected, brushstrokes, softly blended together in a fragrant composition of affecting beauty and fascinating evolution on skin.

Unfailingly inspired by the poetry of her late father, Montri Umavijani, Pissara’s goal is “to always convey a different aspect of happiness with each new perfume”, as she pointed out at the very start of our discussion about her new fragrance. To create Parfums Dusita Le Pavillon D’Or, the Thai-born perfumer told me that she drew inspiration from memories of three different lakes: the Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan (where her father wrote his poem “A Wish”), the Aisawan Triphya-Art in Thailand (a pavilion constructed in the middle of a lake, next to the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace), and the Nantes-Brest canal with its nearby Guerlédan Lake in France (where the perfumer spent her vacation in happy seclusion). It was exactly during that holiday stay in Brittany that Pissara found all her lake-related memories merging into one: an overwhelming, embracing sense of tranquility and happiness that she always felt while sitting by a bank alongside the water. Right then, the idea of Le Pavillon D’Or crystallized in her mind: it would be a fragrance celebrating the deep contentment and peace of mind that can be felt when one reflects on one’s own life, while being in direct contact with nature.

Parfums Dusita Le Pavillon D’Or instantly intrigues mind and senses with its refreshingly original opening, a result of the blissful synergy between cool and spicy mentha citrata (a rather lemony, peppery type of mint), spectacularly green and humid fig leaf, as well as woody, aromatic Somalian frankincense, accented by sweet honeysuckle and soft white thyme. As is always the case with my skin, the orris emerges right from the start, becoming progressively richer as the fragrance’s spectacular heart begins to bloom. In Parfums Dusita Le Pavillon D’Or, Pissara Umavijani used  new, exclusive accords of her own, most notably one that’s centered around heliotrope. A passionate lover of traditional perfume-making, Pissara is constantly creating new accords, as well as reworking some of her older ones, with regular emphasis on her Thai origins. These accords are, in her own words, “complex mini-compositions focusing on a certain note, aspect or effect, not too complete or too perfect on their own, so as to be ideally blended with other ingredients”. Apart from building a formidable “scent library”, to be utilised in future creations, the perfumer will be featuring some of her exclusive accords in the masterclasses and ateliers that are to take place in her Parisian boutique.

The brand new heliotrope accord of Parfums Dusita Le Pavillon D’Or, a thing of beauty by itself, contains no less than thirty ingredients, including the eponymous flowering plant, along with white and yellow florals, vanilla, opoponax, and benzoin. Its effect is altogether sweet, vanillic, almond-like, powdery and floral, with a depth and intensity that colors the whole composition with an elegantly gourmandish undertone (further amplified by the creaminess of the sandalwood base). This astonishing passage from the green herbaceousness of the opening, to the delectable floriental heart and woody base, might sound somewhat sudden in writing; when the fragrance is actually applied on skin, however, its evolution feels like the most natural thing in the world – and that’s no mean feat. Apart from the considerable technical skill involved in the creation of Parfums Dusita Le Pavillon D’Or, one feels the tender thoughtfulness, effervescent optimism and genuine emotion of the fragrance’s creator running through it like an almost tangible current.

Seamlessly blended and flirting with abstraction, Parfums Dusita Le Pavillon D’Or is as arrestingly beautiful, as it is reflective – albeit in an upbeat, non-brooding manner. In the perfumer’s own words: “The golden pavilion in the middle of the lake represents the human spirit that stands tall and bright among the changing currents of the water. It is a challenge for us all to keep our spirit shining amidst life’s uncertainty.”

Notes: Wild Mentha Citrata, Honeysuckle, Orris Root; Boronia, Frankincense, White Thyme, Heliotrope, Fig Leaf; Oakwood, Australian Sandalwood.

Disclaimer: My heartfelt thanks to Pissara Umavijani for my bottle. The opinions are my own.

  • WOW!!! I am so excited about Pavillon d’Or! I adore Pissara’s creations and the note line up in this golden beauty looks like it might just turn out to be my favorite. Lately I’ve been on a Splendiris run, but I also love La Douceur de Siam and Fleur de Lalita. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win Le Pavillon d’Or! Live in the US.

  • This fragrance sounds so uplifting. My favorite line is “Parfums Dusita Le Pavillon D’Or is as arrestingly beautiful, as it is reflective”. I’ve never experienced Parfums Dusita but I hear they are amazing fragrances. USA

  • Honeysuckle and heliotrope…yes. Using her father’s poetry as inspiration adds a very cool sense of history. I would love to try this! Thank you for the opportunity to win! USA

  • In this time of turmoil we do need some peaceful tranquility. I think the poem is beautiful, and the choice of a heliotrope base is perfect for conveying inner peace. Thank you very much for this draw. My favourite Dusita is Le Sillage Blanc.
    I live in France.

  • I dream of attending a masterclass in her Parisian boutique. Just learning of that is my favorite part of the review. Pissara Umavajani is a true artist and there is no way I could pick a favorite.

  • Sounds great, honeysuckle should be used more frequently as s note in fragrances. I enjoyed the tranquility of this review. Canada.

Honeysuckle is my favorite perfume note for this time of the year. It’s to inspiring that she used her father’s poetry as an influence. I have not tried any perfumes from the house and would love to win this. Thank you for the opportunity to win! I live in Delaware USA

  • Despina’s review describes so well the similarities between the peace you feel when you are contemplating the water- which is still, as it’s a lake, and the delight you feel when the perfume gradually develops on the skin. I never smelled any of Dusita’s fragrance, but on my next trip to Paris I will definitely find her boutique. I live in Romania.

  • I am curious to smell how a man made pavilion in the middle of a lake smells like and if it is more human, wood or lake. I have not smelled any Dusita perfumes but I only heard good things about them. My favourite part of the review is the poem.
    I live in the EU.

  • Gorgeous sceneries and drawings! I’m sure the perfume will smell as peaceful. Thank you so much for the giveaway. EU.

  • It’s an honor to have a chance to win an avant-premiere bottle of this scent. I am intrigued by the lake inspiration and for the use of heliotrope as a star material. Unluckily I haven’t had the pleasure of trying any of Dusita’s creations. I live in the USA.

  • There is little more beautiful than the idea of each perfume conveying a different kind of happiness! I am in the US. Lovely draw.

  • I’ve purchased a few of Ms Pissara’s creations and love them all. My favorite is Erawan. Thanks for another fabulous draw! USA

  • Despina, this review is both beautiful and heartfelt. I’m a devoted admirer of Pissara’s work, can’t wait to explore “the passage from the green herbaceousness to the floriental heart”: Parfums Dusita unlike so many modern scents really do change on the skin. I like them all, but if I had to choose, they would be Issara, Melodie de l’amour, Oudh Infini and Splendiris. They’re all marvellous.

Thank you for this chance to try le Pavillon d’or. Russia

  • Oh my goodness, I’m a massive fan of Dusita, I have purchased *melodie de l’amour*, it smells amazing, and also bought samples of all Dusita perfumes from online shop. Splendiris become my second love fragrance, and the colour is just so stunning! Further more, what makes me excited the most is that one of the inspiration from memories of three different lakes is *Sun Moon Lake* in Taiwan, I’m a Taiwanese, so to me, I truly believe this is not just a perfume but an extremely special fragrance which brings back my memories in Taiwan, I’v currently been living in London.

A massive Thanks to Despina’s review, that helps me to get to understand the story and inspirations of Dusita Le Pavillon D’Or, and talented Pissara Umavijani who creates the beautiful perfume.

  • I love the detailed description of the notes as they unfold. Can’t wait to smell.

    USA here.

  • Wow thirty ingredients for the heliotrope accord? It sounds AMAZING! I can only imagine the work that went into getting that accord perfect.
I have not tried Parfums Dusita yet, but they are definitely at the top of my list to try!

  • Elizabeth T. says:

I, too, feel so at peace at the water’s edge. Not every water’s edge… ocean, lake, river, they are not the same. The edge of a lake is the place for me. The heliotrope accord at the base of this, after a lemony, peppery mint, sounds so interesting. I would love the chance to try it! Thank you for your beautiful review and this generous draw. I’ve unfortunately not had a chance to try any Parfums Dusita creations. I’m in the USA.

  • patrick_348 says:

I live in North Carolina in the U.S.A. and don’t know any Dusita fragrances. But I love the notes listed and am intrigued by wondering how they would combine. I like how the description of the inspiration for the scent doesn’t sound forced or stretched, but seems quite natural, and also appealing in its merger of East and West. Good review!

  • I am afraid I have not tried anything by Parfums Dusita but intrigued by the notes and the story of the three lakes. Cheers from UK

  • Parfums du sita is a house that I have not explored yet. But I am loving the notes of Franckincence, Australian Sandalwood, orris root and oakwood in particular. Thanks a lot from UK

  • I loved the detailed description on this new fragrance from a house I adore. It sounds amazing, would love to try her new creation. Everything I’ve tried from Dusita had been a big love even things I don’t tend to enjoy, so I would be honored to get to try and own this! My favourite so far is errwan.

Thank you for a wonderful draw.
I’m in the USA, North Carolina

  • This sounds lovely. I am a fan of both mint and frankincense and the heliotrope accord sounds fascinating and very complex. I love that she was inspired by her memories of lake vacations and her father’s poetry when composing this perfume. I’ve never sampled Parfums Dusita but would love to. I’m in the US

  • BostonScentGuy says:

This sounds lovely! I love the description of how the heliotrope accord colors the scent with a sweet, floriental tone. I love heliotrope and love seeing it working in concert with green and herbaceous notes as well as other florals. I love many dusita scents, including issara, erawan, and sillage blanc. Thanks for the draw! I’m in the US.

  • This fragrance sounds amazing! I love that she gained inspiration from the poetry of her late father. Would love the opportunity to try this beautifully inspired fragrance. USA.

  • Some of the random key words I noted throughout were complex, cool and spicy as well as well blended. When a fragrance can take some diametrically opposite notes and them seemlessly apply them it creates something special. I look forward to sampling this one. Thanks for the draw.

  • Despina seems to have perfectly managed to paint a photo realistic picture of what Pavilion D’or is all about. As a lover of rich florals and especially heliotrope as note I am very intrigued by Pissara’s newest creation. I am certain that as with most of her creations this one speaks to the heart.

  • This was a relaxing and transportive review. I want to be sitting on the bank by the water, or in the pavilion. Making her own accords is so impressive! I don’t have a favorite Parfums Dusita fragrance yet. I live In California.

  • Wow, a new fragrance from the amazing Dusita house, exciting news. Oudh infini would me my number one followed by le sillage blanc. Thank you very much for the generous giveaway, only love for Pissara. I am in the EU.

  • Lorie McMillin says:

Oh my goodness! This new creation from Pissara sounds amazing! I love heliotrope! And Boronia … rare I think from Australia perhaps? I had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours at the Dusita boutique in Paris last year and came home with Issara and Melodie, along with two volumes of poetry and samples of everything including the yet to be named Splendiris. I would love to win this bottle! I’m in the US.

  • The description of Pissaras own heliotrope accord makes me curious and the photos make me want to dissapear in thailand for a mont:) its hard to imagine this scent, with a minty herbacious opening. I love doceur de Siam!thank you for the opportunity

  • I appreciate the quiet, yet emotional tone of this review. Le Pavillon d’Or sounds like my wife will love it! My favorite is Issara for sure, and the opening of Erawan. Would love to win this to Germany, thanks for the draw! I

  • Billiestimpson says:

My goooooosh the boronia and honeysuckle combo sound absolutely delish, as do the citrata and fig leaf – I’d be fascinated to see how that all combines with frankincense! Let’s see if this is a challenge for my fleur de lalita obsession ^_^

  • Sounds like a truly invigorating fragrance that I would love to try! What a review. Living in the EU

  • This is such an exciting draw! Love Pissara’s work and her new release seems to be as gorgeous as the previous ones. Thailand’s nature has always fascinated me and these joyful drownings make me wanna explore the land even more. Heliotrope, vanilla, orris, fig leaf.. It sounds just right! Thanks for the opportunity. I am in Germany

  • jaguarundina says:

from the beginnings of Pafums Dusita Paris I’ve been a passionate fan of as well the radiating personality of Pissara Umavijani as well as of her perfumes. I love them all with my personal highlights ‘Oudh Infini’ and ‘Melodie d’Amour’. your excellent review of this new perfume sounds mesmerizing as was to expectfrom any new perfume by Pissara.
    love, aad

  • fazalcheema says:

Despina reminds Pissara’s approach to perfumery is influenced by her Thai origins. Dusita Le Pavillon d’Or is a perfume with floral and oriental elements and it feels classic yet also very modern at the same time. My fav. from Dusita is Oudh Infini which I have a bottle of. I am in US.

  • Now that’s a picturesque description! I love fragrances that touch your soul and evoke tranquility. I`m in EU

  • Pissara shines just like gold herself. I rarely get such a blatant feeling of positivity and light from a person that I don’t know personally (and even from those I do know). I think her splendent personality transpires through her perfumes and they just become impregnated with elegance, grace and balance. I also love the way she speaks about perfume. I have tried Splendiris from her and I thought it was simply beautiful. From Pavillon, I am triggered by the 30 note heliotrope accord and i look forward to smell the “golden light” in her perfume. I am from the EU, thanks for this generous draw.

  • Unfortunately, I don’t know any fragrance she created, but this one sounds really good and seems to be a good start. I really like the combination of frankincense, heliotrope and honeysuckle. I am from EU. Thanks!

  • The review was as thoughtful as the poetry that inspires pissaras creations , I love how much care and attention to detail went into it.

My favourite from the house is oud infini, I can’t get enough of that stuff.

    Best of luck to everyone!

    From , Ireland.

Thank you Despina for this excellent review. I am an admirer of Pissara’s fragrances: emotion, generosity, creativity…they have it all ! I also love her stunning drawings, she is a real artist. I loved the way Despina described the perfumer’s impressionistic approach, I believe perfume should be considered as a fine art. My favorite Dusita fragrance is Mélodie de l’Amour, a sublime, smart and seamless white flowers waltz. I am from Nîmes, France.

  • There are so many things I love about Pissara’s creations! She is one of my favorite perfumers. I love and own Melodie de L’Amour. I am about to buy La Douceur de Siam. Actually I’d love to have every her scents.
Thanks to this review now I know that she works with mini-accords that are made to use them in her future fragrances but also on masterclasses. Oh God, how I wish I could attend one of them!
Le Pavillon d’Or sounds like a heaven to me. I can’t even say what appealed to me the most in its description. I will have a bottle of it – be it because of winning or buying.
    I live in Poland.

  • I love Dusita and the perfumers characters, so I’m so excited reading this article.
I’m impressed her goal, “to always convey a different aspect of happiness with each new perfume”.
I tried all Dusita fragrances and can’t choose the favorite one, but if I must choose, I would say Le Sillage Blanc, Erawan, Fleur de Lalita.
    I live in Japan.

I always love when perfumers draw inspiration from places. I find myself more and more getting travel ideas and dreams from perfumers. I haven’t tried any fragrances from Parfums Dusita, but I am aware that Pissara is always inspired by Thailand and France.

Also, what a luxurious-looking bottle I must add! Thank you CaFleureBon for introducing this brand to me. Would love to check this out. Regards from Boston, USA

I enjoyed Despina lovely review and the story of the three lakes. Her photos are really great

What beautiful inspiration for a beautiful fragrance. The water has been a place that I’ve often gone to in my life to uplift my spirits. I’m interested in the creation of accords as mini compositions of a certain note. I can only imagine the library of accords Ms. Umavijani has to work with, all nearly perfect. I love that thought. Thank you for the draw. I’m in the US.

  • Mentha Citrara to honeysuckle to frankincense, more, more to a gourmond? These notes sound delectable! I have not tried a fragrance by Pissara Umavijani, but would love to. I am in the USA.

  • I really enjoyed in the review the explanation of how these three lakes made an impression and the memories came rushing back. I am most interested by the newly created heliotrope accord mentioned in the piece. I have not tried anything Parfums Dusita as of yet. I. The U.S. Thank you for the generous draw.

  • Michael Prince says:

Despina, great review of Parfums Dusita Le Pavillon d’Or EdP. I like the aromatic, floral, and vanilla components to this fragrance. I haven’t tried anything from Parfums Dusita, so I don’t have a favorite fragrance from them. I am from the USA.

  • Emmalafleur says:

The idea of abstraction caught my eye, I like perfumes that are unexpected and different. I don’t have a favourite Parfums Dusita but I’d love to try them all. I’m in Australia.

  • I wholeheartedly agree with Pissara when she says “It is a challenge for us all to keep our spirit shining amidst life’s uncertainty.” and I certainly
think that fragrance helps me prepare myself for the difficulties of day to day life. This scent sounds so peaceful yet strong. I would love to try it since so many scents in this house are like pure poetry. Thank you for the lovely review and the opportunity to try this. I’m in the US.

  • Thanks for another great review, Despina, and for featuring this house. I love Parfums Dusita and I’m excited to try this. This is what I liked on your description – ‘a fragrance celebrating the deep contentment and peace of mind that can be felt when one reflects on one’s own life, while being in direct contact with nature.’ It would be wonderful to escape reality for a few seconds and enjoy nature through this scent. My favorite Dusita fragrance is Melodie de L’Amour. Thanks for this opportunity. – CA, USA

  • I enjoyed the description of how this perfume is centered around Heliotrope and has notes of honeysuckle. Lovely review of this new release. So excited to experience this because one of my favorites from this house is Issara.

  • It’s a very well written article and i enjoyed reading it. From the description looks like it’s a wonderful fragrance. I haven’t yet tried any of Dusita fragrances, but i had thought about blind-buying La Douceur de Siam. Thank you so much for the chance of wining this. Romania

Another wonderful sounding release from Dusita! I love heliotrope, so I’m sure I’m going to love this one. I feel like this would transport me to a peaceful Thai lake, like the ones in the photos. Pissara is a true artist, and I love La Douceur de Siam and Fleur de Lalita most, but I would love to own all of her creations someday.

    I’m in Canada.

  • Pissara Umavijani’s work is so exquisite. I wish I could try all of her compositions, because she puts so much passion and creativity into each one. Despina really described this fragrance quite well and it sounds like a fragrance unlike any other, characteristic of Dusita’s lineup. Her mention of Pissara’s new heliotrope accord is one of the highlights of the review. It would be such a pleasure sniffing it. The only fragrance I have tried from Dusita is the legendary Oudh Infini. I have a small decant of it which I will always treasure and love. It bewilders me as to why some people misunderstand it. Thanks so much to Despina for this review and to Pissara for such a generous giveaway! I’m in Oregon, USA.

  • I have smelled all Parfums Dusita fragrances, except Le Pavillon D’Or , and I have to say this brand is unique. Unlike a lot of other brands popping up lately , who just want to jump on the bandwagon, Pissara creations represent her , her vision of the world and do not follow trends!
“cool and spicy mentha citrata (a rather lemony, peppery type of mint), spectacularly green and humid fig leaf, as well as woody, aromatic Somalian frankincense, accented by sweet honeysuckle and soft white thyme.”
    +
    “elegantly gourmandish undertone”
Ok Despina , I have to say you got my attention.
Erawan to me is the best Dusita fragrance, not counting Le Pavillon D’Or of course because I do not know it.
It is really unique. Starts green , but soon after big wave of chocolate is coming. I feel like I’m sitting in the middle of a hey field , on my left side there’s fresh cut lumber, but on my right side there’s a huge pot of melted high quality Belgian chocolate. Really – really unique smell. I’m collecting fragrances for 25 years, and I’ve smelled thousands, but never something similar to Erawan.
If I have to rate my personal favorite Parfums Dusita fragrances:
    1. Erawan
    2. Issara
    3. La Douceur de Siam
What a great draw , thank you. I do follow all @cafleurebon, @parfumsdusita and @despinavnt on Instagram .

  • Despina’s description of the heliotrope accord used in Parfums Dusita Le Pavillon d’Or EdP was well done. Her description makes me want to try this fragrance! I do not yet have a favorite Parfums Dusita fragrance. USA

  • Monica Beaton says:

Absolutely beautiful review! Happiness in a bottle – what more could a fragrance lover ask for. I love perfumers who put their feelings into a fragrance, not just a blend of notes. Splendiris is my favourite Dusita fragrance – a powdery beauty that always makes me happy. I live in Australia.

  • Thank you, Despina, for again a great article!
I am so excited about this new creation by Pissara! So far I loved all of the perfumes (samples) from Dusita that I was able to try. And I treasure my bottle of Splendiris.
When I read about a new perfume from Dusita that has a gourmandish undertone I really MUST try it, as I’m a gourmand lover.
When I read about the feeling Pissara is aiming for with this perfume I’m even more excited, if that’s even possible, haha! ‘an overwhelming, embracing sense of tranquility and happiness’ …
‘celebrating the deep contentment and peace of mind that can be felt when one reflects on one’s own life, while being in direct contact with nature.’
I so enjoy being in nature and would love having that tranquil feeling all the time!
    Thank you for the opportunity!
    I’m from the Netherlands.

  • I enjoyed reading the quotes from the founder. I love that it was created to…” be a fragrance celebrating the deep contentment and peace of mind…” The notes all sound amazing.
I do not have a favorite Parfums Dusita yet.
    I live in USA.

  • I am very excited to try this one, especially since it’s described as a combination of Splendiris and Erawan. Despina`s made me live the perfume`s atmosphere so vividly! Thank you for this incredible opportunity!

  • Judging by Despina review I’ll enjoy Le Pavillon D’Or . My love for woody and green fragrances comes naturally , I’m a Barber after all . Slightly sweet undertones are highly appreciated.
Not sure it’s my favorite Parfums Dusita fragrance , because only know one , but Splendiris is a top quality scent. Saw a video on YouTube of Sebastian reviewing it , and got a sample from Luckyscent with one of my purchases. I personally really like it, but you have to like waxy scents to appreciate it.
Thanks Pissara , Despina and Cafleurebon for the chance.

  • Another gorgeous creation by Pissara , and i also like the inspiration behind it.
First time i’ve heard Parfums Dusita was on Sebastian Youtube channel, and then here on Cafleurebon.
A few months ago he did beautiful interview with Pissara on his channel , and i decided it’s time to buy the discovery set.
La Douceur de Siam, Not sure where it comes from , maybe it’s some sort of mix between the notes , but on me i get juicy pear.
Oudh Infini on my skin is …well it’s not for everybody. As a early teen i had to clean horse barns.Well to me that’s exactly how it smells.
Erawan is unusual , but beautiful at the same time. I’m not sure how to describe it – it’s something in between fougere and gourmand. Undeniable there’s dark chocolate in it. It’s green , woody and herbal , but at the same time there’s decent amount of chocolate . Semi-fougere , semi-gourmand maybe?
My favorite Dusita fragrance is Erawan , closely followed by Splendiris . Splendiris could have been my number 1 , i like the smell the most , but unlike all other Parfums Dusita fragrances is close to the skin fragrance , and i like my fragrances to project. I know it could be my body chemistry , but even Erawan is considerably stronger on me than Splendiris .
    Thanks a lot

  • Dusita fragrances are so masterfully blended! I loved Splendiris and Fleur de Lalita. I’ve never owned a fragrance with a prominent Honeysuckle note. I would love to try Le Pavillon d’Or. Thank you Despina for including her father’s poem. It is such a special part of Pissara’s inspiration. I live in the USA.

  • Sounds fabulous, the review really makes me want to try this one! Honeysuckle, which should be used more frequently as a note in fragrances, also sounds very interesting. Buffalo NY, USA.

  • For a long period of time I was curious about all the buzz around Parfums Dusita, praises basically everywhere.
Two weeks ago on one of the Facebook fragrance groups , a guy was selling a few barely used Parfums Dusita samples I bought them.
    My impressions:
    1. I like barnyard kind of oud , but civet bombs I can’t stand, so Oudh Infini is not my kind of fragrance. To me it’s like a boxing heavyweight champion punch of animalics .
    2. Issara . Nice one dry , woody and herbal. Leans masculine.
    3. La Douceur de Siam to me smells like apricot and frangipani dessert cake . It’s popular in some Asian countries. Pastry Chef in me can’t stay still.
    4. Erawan – green, woody and milky.
Le Pavillon D’Or with all the greenness, mint and calm photos I have a feeling it would be a spring fragrance.
I can’t really tell what’s my favorite one, Issara, La Douceur de Siam and Erawan are all beautiful.
Appreciate the review, and the giveaway campaign

  • The note list sounds lovely. I’ve never tried this house but honeysuckle is one of those “stop me in my tracks” scents. Thank you for the review, the beautiful pictures, and the draw. I’m in the US.

  • I was in total shock at the amount of notes used in the creation of this fragrance. It’s always a pleasure to smell fragrances when technicality has played a big role in its creation. I haven’t smelled any of the Dusita fragrances. (Commenting from FL, USA)

  • I really enjoyed Despina’s review and I love that the inspiration for this fragrance was from the lakes that she visited during her holidays. This fragrance sounds exquisite and that is Dusita’s wheelhouse. I also love that she is keeping her father’s legacy alive with creating new fragrances that reflect his poetry. My favorite line is: “The golden pavilion in the middle of the lake represents the human spirit that stands tall and bright among the changing currents of the water. It is a challenge for us all to keep our spirit shining amidst life’s uncertainty.” Thanks for the giveaway and I live in the US!

  • I’ve never smelled anything from this line. I like that she wants to convey happiness in each bottle. I think the notes are very interesting. I’d love to try this “upbeat” new creation. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • Excellent review Despina! Le Pavillon D’Or sounds amazing! I’m particularly excited about the creamy sandalwood base. I’ve never had the pleasure of smelling anything by Parfums Dusita, but they’re on my radar now. Thanks for the draw and I live in the USA.

  • I have never had a chance to try anything from Dusita, but I always wanted to. Le Pavillon d’Or sounds perfect for me. The review is so enjoyable, and the notes sounds great. I would be so happy if I would be the lucky winner. Thank you very much for the chance. I live in Europe.

  • Thank you Despina for another well written review and to Pissara Umavijani for the giveaway. It’s great for Pissara to honor her father by creating a fragrance inspired by his poem. This fragrance sounds amazing and I’d love to win the bottle. My favorite Parfums Dusita fragrance would be Erawan. I’m in USA

Parfums Dusita is one of those brands that I have not been able to fully get into at the moment, but one that I am so intrigued about. I have only been able to smell one, and that is La Douceur de Siam…. that one is on my list to purchase for sure! It is so beautiful and out of this world. High class for sure! Like many other brands, I need to get my hands on a few more samples, but I am afraid that I will be broke when I do, because if the quality of the others is like the quality of La Douceur de Siam (which I am sure they are all amazing), I am going to want them all! Pissara is such a sweet and kind person… she makes me want to buy in to the brand just because of her… the scents are just the cherry on top! The way Despina describes Pissara’s own heliotrope accord is divine! The description alone makes it so tempting and mouthwatering. I love gourmands and this sounds superb. It has 30 ingredients in this one accord alone…. the detail to a single component (of many) for one fragrance is just out of this world. This could be a fragrance by itself! Blend it with the other stunning notes, especially the wild mentha citrata, boronia, and frankincense, and WOW! Sounds like a winner from a mile away! This another one to add to my list, as I am sure is the case for most! Thank you PIssara, for your generosity and gracefulness! Thank you Despina for the beautiful review and thank you to team CaFleureBon (Michelyn), for the opportunity to try this amazing sounding fragrance! I live in Delaware, US. I hope everyone has a great day!

  • Pissara looks so happy on the second picture 🙂 And I mean really happy, not posing for Instagram to look happy.
A lot of green notes , mint and hints of almonds , Le Pavillon D’Or sounds like it would be a calming and relaxing fragrance capable of putting me in a zen mode.
Working too much lately and I need a Zen fragrance , so bottle of Le Pavillon D’Or would be a dream come true .
Thank you for the lively review, and the giveaway.

Saw a few YouTube reviews, and articles on Cafleurebon and finally decided to pull the trigger , when I found out you can get 7.5 ml Parfums Dusita travel sprays. Erewan was my choice because I’ve been to Erawan National Park, and the enigmatic Erawan waterfall, and also to Erawan Museum in Bangkok.
Since the fragrance was made to emulate the whole Erawan experience, the result of Pissara work is just magical.
Le Pavillon D’Or with all the florals,  vanilla,  resins and mint to me is close encounters fragrance,  romantic dates,  no doubt not everyday scent.
Wonderful opportunity , Despina did a great job too.
