Forbidden Love, James Robert Lee
We always long for the forbidden things, and desire what is denied us. Francois Rabelais
Francesca Bianchi is no “ordinary perfumer’, hence my attraction to her as a Creatress and to her body of Art. A true translator and purveyor of the deeper senses, she brings tangible substance to the ethereal states, which we can be blessed or cursed with. I resonate with this; and it is evident in Francesca Bianchi The Lovers Tale.Actual circumstances, states of mind and intuitions fraught with a troubling, sensorial, emotional or spiritual meaning are the source of my inspiration. These are my epiphanies. I am not interested in merely copying their smell, but in conjuring them up and at the same time, expressing the emotional thrill I experience during these epiphanic occurrences.

With extraordinary dexterity and precise in her revelation, Francesca Bianchi The Lovers Tale, released in 2018, solidifies the exquisiteness of attraction, how it is undeniable, addictive and pervasive in its pleasure. Forbidden or not, it is bound to be expressed, there is no alternative.

Do you recall moments in life, delectable moments that seemed to stretch forever, teased out in precious threads, pearlescent strands of desire. How the heat of eyes that speak, and the urgency to feel the other in your arms as sweet torture in the blood. Francesca Bianchi The Lovers Tale is a distillation of the surrender in uncompromised addiction, one to the other in consensually.

How I am courted by the eyes that glance, Bergamot flashing with an unspoken language pungent with a strength, which hangs suspended in the space between bodies, like dew drops of a promise, enticed by the slow, viscosity of Honey, it resides in sensuous tendrils traversing the untouched expanse. The lightest sprinkling of powdery, intoxicating Mimosa is mischievous and invites a continuance, with a pounding heart. For even tenuous bodies in close proximity delight in every motion that is felt without touch.

Francesca Bianchi The Lovers Tale is palpable tension unbounded, where physicality is forbidden, the unseen takes flight in a full rein of seductive airs that break taboos. I am spoken to without utterance of voice, in whispered tones that despite their hushed breath are voluminous, surging through vein and sinew to heat embers, the impact of nuanced gesture conveying all. How lacklustre our present time permissiveness seems in the wake of remembered times when secrets had to be hidden and desires barely contained spilled out of arranged formality, like ample proportions overspilling a bodice.

Words tumble, uninhibited silent breaths full of unspoken vows and invited liaisons. Intentions set with no chance of reversal, inevitability is a certainty. The sublimity of Bulgarian Rose in intimacy with an Iris Butter that is akin to the state of heightened enthral. Languorous Heliotrope and opulent Peach coexist in a rapture. Not quite brushing of lips, in yearning, loiter, the slow-motion quality of timelessness, where the rest of the world has ceased, only the two are in existence, the only two drawing breath as one, the cocoon is primacy.

To feel the quiescence, as in those moments we become all flesh, all inspiration. Scented breath alighting lips, feathered fingertips that brush with delicacy the skin, vehement urgencies subtle yet ever persistent. That sublime altered state, welded to the passion that engulfs and was always present in between glances and the language of bodies. Embodied in a textural unbridled Leather enriched with Castoreum in libidinous abandon, Labdanum, sweetly resinous, Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Oakmoss, an earthly union that leaves no doubt as to the consequences of the tryst.
Il Rito, Roberto Ferri, 2016
In its lingering, it is the epitome of the lovers perfumed trace held in the senses long after the tryst is over and he has departed for the spheres of ordinary life. The miasma of stolen hours in lyrical persistence that I am reluctant to release, for depending on circumstance we know not when it shall arrive again if at all. It is the sweetest, succulent devouring of every moment, aria by aria, in unfolding memory, to hold it in perpetuity and engrave it into my physical matter. I am breathless, no demure plaything, The Lovers Tale is beyond constraints. Notes: Bergamot, Honey, Mimosa, Egyptian Jasmin, Bulgarian Rose, Peach, Iris Butter, Heliotrope, Leather, Castoreum, Labdanum, Sandalwood, Vetiver,, Oakmoss
