.) Greater availability of carded samples in store. A quick squirt of a tester – the so-called “spray and pray” method of scent selection – shouldn’t be encouraged, as it can make for hasty sales, repented at leisure.
.) A decant supplies company based in Europe. The US-based ones are great, but the shipping bumps up the price considerably!
.) Adverts containing note listings, or at least a broad indication of the style of the scent, beyond hints conferred by the model alone, as in: “something Keira Knightley would wear on a train”.
.) Roja Dove’s Perfume Diaries Exhibition and associated lectures on perfume-related topics. All over again, please!
.) Converting more of my friends and family to perfume. It’s a slow and steady war of attrition, which I do believe I am winning. : – )
.) More honesty on Ebay. I think I may have just got scammed…
.) More luck swapping away the albatross bottles in my collection that continue to haunt me.
.) The ever deepening virtual sorority of perfume bloggers
.) More blind sniffing dates with perfumistas in Europe, the States, or wherever my travels take me.
.) Fewer flankers – and if there must be any more muted pink glazed Stella flankers, can we please start a McCartney series now? McCartney In Three Peony, whatever.
.) A new laptop – or netbook, even – I think I need Intel’s finest core to have any hope of keeping up with developments in the fumosphere…
