The Perfect Provenance in Greenwich Connecticut

Nestled on the side street of Grigg Street, an offshoot of upscale Greenwich Avenue in bucolic Greenwich, CT, is a luxury lifestyle boutique where anyone who enters becomes instantly enveloped in a perfect shopping oasis, reminiscent of Provence.

Home Section of The Perfect Provenance

The three-story refurbished Victorian style home, located at 47 Arch Street, features beautifully crafted items from around the globe, with an abundance of French influence and tasteful opulence, as well as the infusion and charm of California wine country.

The expansive store features both women’s and men’s fashions, and accessories (unique clothing, clutches, scarves, sunglasses and jewelry), home décor (luxurious throws & accents, European barware and vintage mirrors), beauty (creams, candles, and only the finest, curated selection of perfumes), as well as captivating artwork suited for any space including paintings, photography and sculptures.

The Versailles Room

Upon entering the Perfect Provenance, one can quickly attest to the well-curated eye represented by Proprietor Lisa Lori. The boutique’s sophisticated, yet intimate design fosters a luminous, tranquil space where original findings and luxurious indulgences are thematically dispersed throughout the store in designated rooms titled “The Versailles Room,” “A Moveable Feast Room,” and “The Game Room.”

 Cafe 47 at  Perfect Provenance

After a lucrative career in PR, marketing and branding that spanned 20 years with companies such as Ogilvy & Mather, Ruder Finn, Body Shop International, International Flavors & Fragrances, and Seagram Americas, as well as her own communications firm, Lisa Lori had the vision and the equivalent passion to create a unique, curated concept store that would showcase ‘the very best of her travels’ and luxury findings where patrons from all over would come to explore, shop, and enjoy good food at Café 47.

“Living a life with purpose is so important,” says Lisa Lori. “As an entrepreneur, it is exciting for me to take everything I love, share it in my shop and be a part of the Greenwich community.”

The store features a truly unique perspective on all things ‘luxury’ whether it be vintage finds, Hollywood glamour, California charm or clean, sophisticated elegance. One is certain to find something to delight, whether it is the perfect hostess gift, an art book for inspiration or a piece of fine jewelry to mark a special occasion oot that perfect go with everyhting hadnbag. Café 47, under the culinary helm of Chef Arik Bensimon, is an integral part of the sensory experience.

Histoires de Parfums

The beauty and perfume section of the Perfect Provenance offers an exquisite selection of bath, body and fine fragrances for both men and women, made from only the finest ingredients, meant to create a sense of escape and pureness designed to pamper the soul. Luxurious soaps, creams and fragrances by Panier Des Sens from the South of France are inspired by organic resources with a natural Mediterranean influence that truly magnify the delicate texture and scents of the line.

The selections of niche and luxury fragrances are curated by Lisa and she carries notable brands such as Histoires de  Parfums, Thirdman, Parfums de la Bastide, Eight & Bob and Roja Parfums. Some of the best-sellers are Insouciante by Parfum de la Bastide, Eau de Monumentale by Thirdman and Memoires de Mustique by Eight & Bob.

Prospérité Candle — The Perfect Provenance

The Perfect Provenance offers Wine Country inspired body soaps, bath salts & aromatherapy diffusers by Napa Soap Company which are hand-poured and crafted in small batches in St. Helena, Napa Valley. Also popular are the Perfect Provenance Collection of luxe candles. Lisa’s work in the beauty and luxury industry, as well as her love of fragrance, inspired her to develop her own line of three distinct candles; Sunshine Limone, Prosperite and Fir Goodness Sake, all created by perfumers from Symrise. Each scent is representative of a different aspect of her own life, and the candles are made from soy based wax, hand poured into recycled glass containers and finally packaged into a beautiful wood container. Each unique scent, provides an aromatic indulgence that transports one to the Napa Valley, a place close to Lisa’s heart. Napa Valley is a short distance from where Lisa grew up in California, was married and hopes to one day have a second store. The lifestyle, food and casual luxury of this area influence all aspects of the Perfect Provenance.

Lisa also debuted her line of fine jewelry and the Smile Collection in her store, which includes a series of organic cotton tees, tote bags, and makeup pouches that benefit Operation Smile. The Perfect Provenance’s mission is to be a true gallery for the senses with new and interesting delights at every turn. In my opinion, it succeeds on all fronts.

  • I would love to visit Perfect Provenance it is gorgeous and I love all the cool clothes and jewelry. I would love to use my gift certificate to buy 1969. A great line to carry would be parfums Del Rae
    Nice handbag but very pricy

  • I like the photos of the store, the interior looks quite nice. The smile stuff looked quite nice at the link — I love it when stores offer more than just perfume, it makes it more fun to browse lol!! I would want samples of everything lmao, I like to sample as many different ones as possible. That way you can find new favorites faster. I would want to see tiny brands at the store, like the Mysteries of the villa one etc.

I loved seeing all the different aspects of the store, the beautiful purse, the perfume display. I would buy a fragrance, perhaps a smaller bottle of something from Histoire de Parfums (Ambre 114?) I would love to see a line that is difficult to find (for me) such as Imaginary Authors.

  • I love these kind of unique, one-of-a-kind stores that carry a lit things left of so many things, you never know what treasure you will find. I love the idea of the Operation Smile benefit, I would like to have something from the line she designed and also benefit the cause. As to what should be carried, perhaps a small niche line by a local perfumer, something you can find only in limited distribution on the east coast.

  • What a beautiful store! I love finding places like this when I travel, and if I ever get to Greenwich I’ll visit for sure! I would perha[s buy one of the candles representing Napa Valley or Casanova for my husband from the Histories Perfume line. I agree a small niche line would be cool, or for something classy how about Divine. They are hard to find and such classy French perfumes that get little attention. Thanks for the write up!

  • That photo of the bookshelf/sniffing station needs to be in my living room. While I don’t go for expensive accessories (I spend all my moolah on perfumes), I can appreciate their beauty from afar.

Since my spring has seen an unusual affinity for almond fragrance, I might use the gift certificate for the Almond Body Gift Set by Panier Des Sens. As for new lines, I’ve been intrigued with Vilhelm Parfumerie and figure since they’re NY-based they might be a nice addition to the store.

Thanks for letting me know this place existed and for the generous drawing.

I’d love to browse around this store. The soaps from the Napa Soap Company sound wonderful. I’ve heard a lot about Perfume de la Bastide, so I’d love to try a fragrance from this line.
I’d love to see a candle or soap that represents Connecticut.
    I live in the USA.

  • I enjoyed Michelle’s virtual tour of the Perfect Provenance. It sounds truly like a “gallery for the senses with new and interesting delights at every turn.” Should I win, I’d use my $50 gc to buy the Napa Soap Company Gift Box. I would like to see Jo Loves at the Perfect Provenance.

  • My baby sister doesn’t live too far from that store now. Another reason for visits to her:)I would love to win and would probably use it on a Roja fragrance from there. I would like to see some more indie fragrances there. Im in the USA. Thanks for opportunity:)
