Managing Editor Mark Behnke laughed out loud when I told him I was going to write about fragrance and football. "You don't even know which teams are playing, he chortled. I told him "Sure I do, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Oakland Raiders". Oakland, Green Bay…big deal. Green Bay fans are the crazy cheese heads, right? Mark hung up.
But I do know about Super Bowls, and football albeit circuitously. I dated a quarterback in High School, my ex husband is a die-hard Giant Fan that screamed at the players during the game through the TV and constantly changed the channel when the good parts came on… the commercials and half time. I did manage to catch the great commerical for Old Spice, which evidently is what real men smell like and the half time extravaganzas with Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson (of the legendary wardrobe malfuction)
This year the Black Eyed Peas are performing and hopefully will Pump It Up! in Dallas (the temperature has been plummeting this past week) and Christine Aguillera is singing the national anthem (She has a fragrance too, but she should stick to singing)
Furthermore, I am on a first name basis with a Pittsburgh Steeler. I met 'Mean Joe" (call me Charles) Green, the iconic Hall of Fame Defensive Tackle for the Steelers during the 70s'. I hung out with this really NICE guy on a photo shoot ten years ago. He didn't drink Coke, he wasn't mean and he wore Drakkar Noir.

Coach: A head coach, senior coach or manager is a professional at training and developing athletes. At the professional level, coaches may work for millions of dollars a year. The head coach devotes most of his expertise to tactics and playbooks, which are combed over by staff paid even more than at the college level. Head coaching, due to the extensive time on the road and long hours, is a very stressful job. Since the money is good at high levels, many coaches retire in their early fifties.
