Creative Director Dom De Vetta of Shay and Blue and “in-house perfumer ”Julie Massé create beautiful and wearable fragrances that are handcrafted in England at affordable prices, often using unusual raw materials or accords… watermelon, dandelion, salt caramel to name a few. Shay and Blue Kings Wood is their newest release and will be marketed as a men’s fragrance although I suspect women will want to wear it as well.
According to the press release, Shay and Blue Kings Wood is a declaration of self-assurance:“Freshness with depth. A confident approach. Bursts of fresh pineapple with the natural aromatic of fern leaves.Backed with the substance of fine leather and English oak. A statement of confidence”.
Shay and Blue Kings Wood Notes: TOP NOTES: Pineapple (for an unusual burst of freshness and character), HEART NOTES:Fern leaves and sichuan pepper (makes the scent warm and natural), BASE NOTES: A blend of leather and English woods( yields confidence and depth in the base).
The new Shay and Blue Kings Wood will only be available in 100ml Fragrance Concentrée Spray and will sell for £85. According to the Company, their fragrance concentrate is equivalent to a Parfum in strength. All Shay and Blue Fragrances are matured in vats for over three months before hand-filling.
Shay and Blue Kings Wood will launch September 1, 2018 at shayandblue.com, the Company’s boutiques and select stockists worldwide.
(If I read that anyone compares tShay and Blue Kings Wood to a certain popular men’s fragrance because it has pineapple, I really will scream. Pineapple has been used in fragrance for many years.
