Jean Paul Guerlain returns to perfumery as the nose for a start up line of fragrance, not affiliated with GUERLAIN, My Exclusive Collection.  According to the press release, "Our aim is to restore the actual essence of traditional perfume creation and French craftsmanship with a collection of modern fragrances linked to today's world: universal, connected and ethical. A perfume is a work of art which must go through time and space against the grain of current trends dictated by the marketing and financial performance.”  states Stéphane LAFFONT-REVEILHAC, President. “The search for investors has started and is aimed at partners who share our values and vision : To be true Ambassadors of French savoir-faire and luxury worldwide. Perfume is the essence of boundless dreams and our dreams are without limits", concludes Stéphane LAFFONT-REVEILLAC. .

The first perfumes for Men and Women will be released at the beginning of 2017.

  • This is fantastic news!! I am 100% supportive of the idea that Jean Paul Geurlain will be creating perfumes independent of the House of Guerlain. Since LMVH shut down Monsieur Guerlain I have shied away from the House entirely, and in fact have not been a fan of their latest creations for quite sometime. I feel that Jean Pauls racist remark was an unfortunate mistake but we all make mistakes and celebrity’s have been forgiven for much worse in time. I welcome the return of the expertise of Jean Paul and hope that his new venture is highly successful. I await his new scents eagerly and hope to glimpse once again the former brilliance that put Guerlain on the perfumed world map in its hey day!!!

  • Wayne Hollander says:

I saw discussions related to Guerlain’s ouster on perfume forums, but am not familiar with the details; nor have I ever sampled anything from the house. You raise very interesting question though, and I wonder what other will have to say. It resonates right now….in the wake of Prince’s passing, some have pointed out that his religious views were not favorable to gay people, amongst whom he has a lot of fans……….

  • Although I don’t agree with his remarks he made it was probably because he was from a different era
    Still they were not acceptable
However I would definitely buy anything Jean Paul Guerlain created
Chanel as well although they sure covered it up about her being a nazi spy

  • Great news! he should never been forced to quit La Maison Guerlain, I will purchase anything he will put in the market. Guerlain now is a shadow that it was in the past…..

  • Jean Paul Guerlain was a Titan in the perfume business. Jean Paul was very loved by the many families he supported in Africa where he found his vanilla, woods and flower essences. His comment was of his grandfathers generation. After Jean Paul lost his job and was hounded in the French courts and in a wheel chair and in pain after a third hip surgery, Jean Paul, a disabled person, was terribly mistreated and abused by the Eurostar staff who made him miss his direct train so that his 2 1/2 hour journey to the English countryside took 6 hours plus 2 hours waiting time. Did any of the concerned politically correct care about a disabled person? Non. Because of his intelligence and talent and hard work, Jean Paul Guerlain will grace us with his new creations so we ladies will have new allure and happiness!

  • This is wonderful!

What LVMH has done to Guerlain is beyond repair: cheap stuff being sold at every corner, exclusive scents overpriced and boring… I dearly hope for a ressurection of the Guerlain name in an appropriate manner.

  • JP Guerlain is one of the best nose we ever had. LVMH should worry about having recruited a new nose who has created nothing new for the last 8 years. “La Petite Robe Noire” comes from Guerlinade, a fragrance created by Jean-Paul Guerlain himself.
Guerlain has become a brand who makes products and does marketing all day long. No doubt that Jean-Paul Guerlain will create fantastic new perfumes.
