Yvon Mouchel‘s artistic perfumery under the Parfums Divine brand, often goes overlooked.  The fragrances are not trendy and M. Mouchel, who is from Dinard, Brittany, is the most humble of Creative Directors, content to create beautiful French fragrances with no marketing or ad campaigns. The very first fragrance for the House, the cult perfume Divine debuted in1986 and was signed by Richard Ibañez of Robertet .  Ibañez, known for his love of raw materials has returned for the 11th fragrance, Spirtuelle, a feminine fragrance which was inspired by the quintessential modern woman, “The perfume she wears is her image.”

Top Notes: Sichuan pepper, pink pepper

Heart Notes: Essences of May Rose and Anatole rose

Base Notes: Amber, musk and incense

  • I agree this line does get overlooked and yet they are really great….L’Homme Sage is a beauty and I wear it proudly. Garners wonderful comments. As the weather is turning cooler, I broke this out from hiding and enjoying greatly. L’Homme de Coeur is great equally.

  • I agree this is an overlooked brand. So refined. I have both Divine and L’Inspiratrice. I know the later is meant to be for young women but I find it to be a great spring/summer fragrance.
