One of our favorite niche houses is Atelier Cologne as the word "Cologne" has never been the same since they launched the line in April of 2010 with the Collection Originale (Orange Sanguine, Trefle Pur, Bois Blonds, Oolang Infini and Grand Neroli) which presented eau de colognes with the concentration (15-20 percent) of Eau de Parfums. Today, thanks to Atelier Cologne, the word "Cologne Absolue" has become part of the olfactive vernacular. Following the success of the Collection Matières Absolues (Vanilla Insensee, Ambre Nue, Vetiver Fatal, Rose Anonyme and Mistral Patchouli), founders and owners Sylvie Ganter and Christophe Cervasel unveil the Collection Métal. The bottles are covered in genuine precious metals, marking an industry first technology. Real gold and silver are infused with their precious metal namesake. Silver Iris and Gold Leather are the first two Cologne Absolue in this distinctive collection which was co-created by perfumer Jerome Epinette

Heart notes: violet leaves from Grasse, iris Pallida from Tuscany, mimosa from Grasse
Base notes: patchouli from Indonesia, white amber, tonka bean from Brazil

Silver or Gold? I think they both sound wonderful, and I know better then to choose based on notes alone, but Atelier Cologne Absolue Gold Leather has caught my attention with plum, gaiac and davana? And you?
