In celebration of the company’s 10th anniversary, Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle announces the launch of its first fragrance in over a year, “Portrait of a Lady.”
Frédéric Malle collaborated with perfumer Dominique Ropion to create what they consider their “masterpiece” fragrance. Malle and Ropion sought inspiration via an earlier creation–Geranium Pour Monsieur (which launched June 2010).
“Being avid users of ‘Geranium pour Monsieur,’ we both spotted an accord on which this fresh fragrance lays, and thought that it had the potential to become the heart of a modern oriental perfume.”
The result is a focused yet opulent and lavishly feminine scent that is pure, irresistible and silent like the portrait of a lady. Composition includes Rose essence (Turkey), Cassis, Raspberry, Cinnamon, Clove, Patchouli heart, Patchouli Essence, Sandalwood, Ensens, Ambroxan and Musk.
“Portrait of a Lady” retails for $200 (50 mL) and $300 (100 mL) at the Editions de Parfums boutique in New York and Barneys counters nationwide.
