This past weekend at The AIX Scent Fair at the Hammer Museum, in Los Angeles, Indie Artisan Perfumer Laurie Erickson of Sonoma Scents launched Equestrian, a fragrance inspired by her youth working with horses at a nearby barn. The aromas of hay, leather and grass have always had strong scent memories for Laurie and while the new perfume was originally built around hay absolute, when a lovely leather accord arrived in 2015, she knew it was time to create.
“Equestrian is an outdoorsy yet civilized take on a hay and leather theme. Filtered sunlight streams through the barn’s hay room, well-oiled saddles and bridles hang in the tackroom, horses graze on crisp grass in the pasture, and riders arrive with apple treats in their pockets for their four-legged friends”
Notes: Apple accord, grassy notes, hay absolute, leather accord, jasmine sambac absolute, violet, labdanum absolute, Virginia cedar, natural oakmoss absolute, patchouli, New Caledonia sandalwood, benzoin
Available as of May 2016 in 34 ml, 17 ml and 5ml travel sprayers
