While Managing Editor Tama Blough was live reporting from the 6th edition of Esxence – The scent of Excellence, one of the highlights of Day One was meeting the “cutest couple” at the show, Madalina Stoia-Blanchard and Julien Blanchard the Creative Directors of Jul et Mad. During the exhibition they launched the fourth chapter of their real life love story that began with Stilettos on Lex in 2012. The name of the fragrance is Aqua Sextius and was composed by the brilliant young perfumer Cécile ZAROKIAN. The setting is Aix en Provence where they were married and vacation often.
AQUA SEXTIUS is the original name of Aix-en-Provence in the South of France, founded by the Roman consul Gaius Sextius in the 2nd century B.C. Known as the city of 100 fountains and famous for its thermal baths, Aix-en-Provence, renowned for its cultural patrimony, has always been a favorite destination for many great thinkers and artists as Emile Zola, Ernest Hemingway or Paul Cézanne (also born here).

Heart Notes: Mint/Eucalyptus, Marines Notes, Mimosa, White Flowers, Fig
Bottom Notes: Labdanum, Ambergris, Cedarwood, Gaïac Wood, Oak Moss, Musk
One of our favorite things about Jul et Mad is not only are the perfumes beautiful, but they are available in a range of sizes from 50 ml parfum extrait which includes a 7 ml nomad spray for $280, a 20 ml size called Le Compagnon and a 5ml named a love dose.
