My first NYC apartment was located on 24th street on the Eastside, a few blocks east of Park Avenue South. No hip restaurants, condos or bars back then, I remember lighting and rug shoppes, and Sunday mornings picking up freshly baked goodies and jams at Sarabeth’s Kitchen. Back in the day, Park Avenue South was a bit of a no man’s land separating midtown from downtown. Over a decade later, the once fringe neighborhood between 17th street and 32nd became a hot spot for businesses, restaurants, clubs, hotels (and pr firms).
Bond No 9 has bottled the neighborhood (which began life as 4th Avenue early in New York’s history) for spring 2015 as a casual floral scent with notes of green apple, jasmine, peach, dry amber and musk. The Perfumer is Michel Almairac from Robertet.
Park Avenue South will be sold at Bond No. 9 New York Boutiques, Saks Fifth Avenue nationwide, select Nordstrom stores, Harrods UK, and www.bondno9.com as of March 21, 2015
