I am always intrigued with the themes for Ben Gorham’s Byredo Parfums. In an interesting departure from many of his past perfumes that are homages to The East, his latest fragrance turns to the American Far West for inspiration. The Mojave Desert is located across southeastern California, southern Nevada and northwestern Arizona and is known to be one of the most arid deserts in the world, Death Valley . The term mojave, originally used by the native American tribe, means the land 'beside the water'.
