MUGLER Alien Man ~NEW Fragrance Review +#WeAreAllAlien Draw

UK ad for MUGLER Alien Man

MUGLER Alien Man has not been launched in the USA yet, but the buzz is already out that it is a polarizing fragrance. For those of us who remember Angel, there was nothing on the market like it and the candy floss and patchouli bomb broke new ground…. it still is a love or hate fragrance. In 2005 MUGLER launched Alien, it's second pillar perfume, with the only listed notes of Jasmine, Amber and Woody Cashmeran. It has taken 13 years for the men’s version to hit the shelves. Interestingly, there is no jasmine ( a key ingredient in 2005 Alien) but woods and amber are “listed” notes in MUGLER Alien Man. What is surprising is the addition of dill which gives a very green feel to the fragrance.  I suspect that many will love Alien Man or some will dislike it, but make no mistake it is definitely different from typical designer offerings. When I contacted MUGLER USA, they didn’t have a press release and will not be in the USA in the near future. Since we have a longstanding relationship, they sent ÇaFleureBon their only sample of MUGLER Alien Man so that we could review the new offering. • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. I really appreciate his honesty.

I am definitely interested in trying this for both myself and my boyfriend. Alien for Women doesn’t work that well on my skin. If fact, I seem to have better luck with the men fragrances from Mugler than with the women’s scents. My favorite Mugler is Mugler Cologne. I absolutely love that scent. It’s so clean and fresh. I always buy a really big bottle and share it with my boyfriend.

  • I appreciate the bit about the dill note, very interested to see how it plays out on my skin.

  • Sebastian has created a huge following to his brand. Alien men has been anticipated from Mugler’s fan base for a very long time. We can’t wait for this launch.

This one sounds interesting it I’d getting alot of negative reviews in the fragrance community mostly because it doesn’t have jasmine and people have been waiting for this for years. I heard this contains anise and I love anise it’s one of my favorite notes. I can’t wait to get my nose on this it came out in Europe several weeks ago but it won’t come to America for awhile. I love the bottle it is gorgeous! I am in the USA.

My fav Mugler scents are the original Amen, and Angel. I’ve tried flankers, but those two still remain at the top for me.
This one sounds unique. Kind of curious about the dill, since he makes it seem like it smells strange and multifaceted, ranging from being sort of metallic to spicy. Also curious to try it to see if the mixed reactions are really warranted or if people are reacting to not having their expectations met.

As a Middle Eastern ( GCC region ), I come from a culture that cultivates and cherishes perfumes of all kinds (Arabic, French, Indian, Burmese, Russian and so on) !

Mr. Jara’s vlogs always get me engaged and peaks my interest toward his reflections .. The guy is truly knowledgeable about the perfume world, the links he lists below the title indicates his knowledge .. Which enables him to represent perfumes in an esteemed flow. I’m glad that Cafleurebon selected him to represent their upcoming and surely exquisite perfume !

Mugler allured me with Pure Malt (men’s) & Alien Eau Sublime (women’s) .. both are joy to wear & smell. Furthermore, I wish for Mr. Jara
More collaborations as he deserves more acknowledgement !

    Thanks in advance,,

I don’t have a favorite scent of this house. Sebastian’s review raises questions in my mind as to what this will actually smell like. Dill seems an unlikely spice for a man’s fragrance, but it sounds interesting. Thanks for the draw. I’m in the USA

I am really looking forward to this fragrance. The dill note sounds kind of wacky, but I love how Mugler does the unexpected. Sebastian wasn’t a big fan of the metallic dry down, buy I’m curious about that.
    I like Angel and A*Men.
