Mancera Red Tobacco Fragrance Review + Smoking Hot Draw

Have you ever tried on a fragrance in passing, made a mental note and then revisited it later on? That is what happened to Sr. Contributor Sebastian Jara after he smelled Mancera  Red Tobacco.  Mancera Red Tobacco is a new release from Mancera Parfums, which was founded in 2008 by Pierre Montale. In 2017, his daughter Amelie Montale took over as Creative Director. and  in September of 2017, Mancera Red Tobacco  debuted. It has been a huge hit and many retailers are out of stock. Sometimes a fragrance achieves a cult following  from the onset and that seems to be the case with Mancera Red Tobacco. According to  the Mancera site, it is classified as an Oud fragrance. However, Oud takes a supporting role to the very rich, heady tobacco note that is enveloped in cloud of spicy amber. Mancera Red Tobacco defies a typical classification and is in a class all its own. Notes: Saffron, cinnamon, incense, nutmeg, white pear, green apple, oud, patchouli, jasmine, tobacco, amber, guaiac wood, sandalwood, Haitian vetiver, Madagascar vanilla, white musk.

  • Nice review, Sebastian! I like fragrances with cinnamon and tobacco notes, and this one sounds ideal for winter. I haven’ t had the chance to try Mancera.
    I live in the USA

  • Hi Sebastian, I own 18 Mancera fragrances and love them all. Imo if you take into consideration performance and value Mancera is the best house. Would love to win a bottle of this new release. Cheers from Miami, FL.

  • JerryWRivera0 says:

I’ve ordered a sample of this and I’m so very excited to smell it. Some are referring to this as a longer lasting Herod. I’d love to own a this beautiful bottle. I still have a love affair with my Cedrat Boise from Mancera.

  • What I liked about Sebastian’s review is that he went into great detail about the notes of the fragrance. How the cologne transitions from different phases from spicy to fruity to patchouli and tobacco. I’ve never tried anything from the Mancera house so this would be an awesome start. I’m in the United States, N.Y. Thank you!!

  • I’ve really wanted to obtain a bottle of this gem…… and thanks for all of your great content…….. I also can’t wait to see your spring 2018 video.

  • Is a Great review,Like Sebastian says this is for t Tabaco and Amber lovers and I love love love those notes, also the bottle looks stunning

  • I got a sample of Red Tobacco right after Sebastian’s initial review. This is such an amazing scent, it should be in everyone’s collection. I have a few of Manceras fragrances but this one and Black gold are my favs so far. A good example of a first impression of a cologne that made me go buy?? There’s a lot, but Black gold from Mancera was one of those colones , took me less than 24 hrs from sampling it to buying it heheh. Thank you for such an apportunity to own this beautiful scent.

  • I love all of Sebastian’s reviews. The man just has a nose that can pick out notes in depth. I love Cedrat Boise and Sand Aoud from Mancera. Mancera and Montale really should have more hype. Such amazing long lasting scents for under $200.

  • What I really loved about Sebastian’s video was the fact that he thoroughly described all of the scents on this perfume, and they are all literally what I wanted for quite sometime in i single bottle! Also he color and presentation is the epitome of class. I live here in Katy, Tx USA I would like to know willl I receive an email if I win????? Or how do I check back on what day to see if I’ve won, please let me know, as this is my dream to have this exotic of a fragrance !!!!

  • Mancera Red Tobacco sounds like an amazing scent. What I enjoyed about Sebastian’s review is how thorough he is with describing the notes and giving me a good idea on what to expect (I have yet to smell it). I do not own any Mancera fragrances so this would be my first. As far as a fragrance that made me go back and buy it that would be Godolphin by Parfums de Marly. Such a great cologne!

  • Excellent review!!! I am actually sampling this today and absolutely love it. It’s definitely a BIG fragrance and you need to be okay with that to wear this. I agree 100% about that. I also get the same opening too with lots of spices and tobacco but I also get some of the oud too. It’s slightly medicinal but oddly I enjoy it. And this bottle looks stunning!!! I would love to have that on a shelf in my collection. My previous favorite from Mancera was Black Gold but this might be good enough to claim that spot. Well done, Sebastian!!!

  • Patrick Echevarria says:

Tried this at Beverly Hills Perfumery recently and Sebastian is right, this is an awesome release by Mancera. Had to ask for a sample of this from Alan Berdjis and has been testing it extensively, boy, beautiful tobacco fragrance it is! Full bottle worthy!San Diego

  • I really been waiting for this fragrance to come to the USA . Because I am a big fan of tobacco fragrances and spice . So with the notes and how the fragrance was described as I definitely would love try it . This fragrance has many notes I would love to try and have . Florida USA

  • Sheena Hubbard says:

His description made me want to have it immediately. I cant wait to smell this. I love the memories it evoked in Sebastian, and you could see how very much he enjoyed this fragrance. I am excited to see what feelings this fragrance brings to me.

  • Thanks for the great review Sebastian. I agree what a awesome looking presentaion and the smell of Tobacco straight from a hookah is great. From the great USA

  • Sunni Suleiman says:

So interested in this fragrance. I love tobacco scents. I have been waiting for this one for a long time.

  • Sebastian says its a beast of a fragrance with huge longevity. It starts with spicy notes like cinnamon which are followed by fruity notes like Apple and later we encounter patchouli and tobacco which is both dry and moist. Sebastian is clearly impressed by this creation including the red bottle. one fragrance that recently wowed me and is on my wishlist now is Ormonde Jaybe Vanille d’Iris. My favorite Mancera creation is Cedrat Boise. I am in the US.

  • I have yet to try a Mancera fragrance, but this one has my name all over it! Beautiful presentation. Can’t wait to try it.

  • I liked and totally agree with Sebastian’s statement that everyone should like tobacco and amber! Wind Wood is my current favorite Mancera. A fragrance that I got a wiff of and had to get a bottle was Interlude Man.

  • Eric I Diedrichson says:

I absolutely love the projection of mancera products. I’ve heard so many glowing reviews of this one and I’m very intrigued by this release. I would like to enter the giveaway please. I’m in nj usa. Thank you.

  • Phillip Scentguy says:

I loved Sebastian’s first video and am glad he was able to do a full review
I like green apple and vetiver
I hope to win Red Tobacco. I tried ordering from luckycent last week and it’s sold out so it must be great

  • Ivan.napoleon says:

    Sebastians always amazing .

  • Frozenheat28 says:

I remember Sebastian’s initial first impression video and I thought ” I MIGHT want to try this.” But now after watching this full review, I now know that I “HAVE TO” pick this one up. It sounds so beautiful! How Sebastian describes the Amber and hints of fruity notes, the contradictory wet and dry tobacco, and a dominant Patchouli as he describes, sound like an AMAZING blend. I really enjoy Cedrat Boise and Silver Intensive Aoud. The last fragrance that I sprayed on myself to sample and then had to go back and but because I liked it was Velvet Rose and Oud by Jo Malone. I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. USA. Thank you so much for the opportunity and Happy Holidays to the amazing people at CAFLEUREBON!!

  • Amazing review sebastian, i LOVE tobacco fragrances. Your review is making me want to get this right now. I hope to win this full bottle & then buy another as a back up bottle

  • I like that Sebastian was excited about a fragrance. When someone with as many fragrances as he has is truly excited over a new one, you know it’s worth checking out. I have had several first impressions that made me buy a bottle. MDCI Chypre Palatine…when I got my sample, I had a bottle ordered within ten minutes lol.

  • another great video from sebatian. i love how he relates the smell of tobacco to his childhood. same is true for me. i’m a huge tobacco fan so Red Tobacco sounds right up my alley. i couldn’t be happier if i was to win a bottle of that pretty red juice!

  • Sebastian always describes the scent in a great details and accuracy. I have never tried anything from this house, but I heard many positive opinions. I had many firs impressions that made me buy a full bottle and sometimes I regret it after more testing.

  • He wanted a bottle he got a bottle and he sounds enthused. Now I want one. I don’t really have first impressions to buy anything without patience. I’d love to win this bottle. US

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. Heard great things about this one
Would love to try and own a bottle. I like Mancera fragrances. But the only one I’ve tried and really like is Cédrat Boisé.
    Thanks for this giveaway. Peace
    From California

  • Michael McDonald says:

My favorite part of the review was how he described the moist and dry variants of tobacco that are in this fragrance. My favorite Mancera that I have been able to try is Lemon Line, and I went back and bought Musc Ravageur after i got a brief first impression

  • Being the tobacco and amber lover that I am, I really enjoyed this review from Sebastian and now I have to try this. I loved his story of tobacco relating to his childhood as I also have those memories – my uncles all smoked pipes and I have vivid, pleasant memories of that sweet tobacco. I have not tried Mancera so I don’t have a favorite. The scent that I tried, then immediately turned around and bought was Unknown Pleasures by Kerosene. I sampled it at MiN NY and knew I had to have it. I live in the USA. Thanks!

  • Man, I have not seen Sebastian this excited in forever. Very descriptive explanation of the notes. I really need to get this and I am hoping this is my opportunity. Mancera Cédrat Boisé is beautiful and exciting (I know I used that twice) so please forgive me. Thanks for the opportunity and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Season.

  • Tobacco + Amber + Performance = COUNT ME IN!!

My favorite Mancera would have to be Lemon Line.

And the most recent sample that led me to a full bottle purchase would have to be Terenzi’s “Ecstasy.”

  • Sebastian’s review was just great, very informative. I have not yet had a chance to try Red Tobacco, but I just ordered a small decant of it today. I own a few other Mancera fragrances that I love, Cedrat Boise, Lemon Line, and Wind Wood.

  • Mancera Red Tobacco as Sebastian has presented sounds to me to be a nice heavy and rich fragrance that will cut through the intense cold and allow you to stand out amongst all the other designer fragrances that will be heavily sprayed during the holiday season. The only Mancera fragrance that I own is Mancera Black Intensitive Aoud and it smells wonderful and is long lasting, which I;m sure this fragrance will be as well. I would be happy to win a bottle of this fragrance because most of the Manceras tend to have a rose smell and this one doesn’t. I shall wait patiently with my fingers crossed!!! Happy Holidays!!

  • Sebastian had me at spicey amber. I love a “beastly” scent. Thank you for the opportunity to try this Mancera frangrance.

  • I like how Sebastian’s review is authentic and actually describes the fragrance. I like his effective use of time. My favorite Mancera is The Aoud. I bought Aoud Cuir D’arabie by Montale from first Impression.

  • I am very interested to see the mix of tobacco and oud that is mentioned in the review. I am a huge fan of oud and tobacco. I also agree that the bottle is gorgeous with the red color. My favorite Mancera would have to be cedrat Boise. I have definetly bought fragrances off first impresions. My last purchase of a first impresion was gorilla perfume cardamom coffee. I live in Seattle WA

  • oldschoolfunk says:

this is my No.1 on my to get list due to the tobacco fragrance. nothing but great reviews. sebastian just made even more alluring. hope to win!! U.S.A.

  • Chocolate Marzipan says:

I always love Sebastian’s reviews and his excitement about fine fragrances. I have never sampled any fragrances from the Mancera line. I bought Dame Black Flower Mexican Vanilla based on a sampling. I reside in the USA.

  • Jose cerrillo says:

Love Sebastian’s YouTube channel. he has some of the most amazing fragrance reviews. most of the fragrance he has to review I have never heard of, the main reason I subscribe to his channel. I currently own a couple of mancera fragrances like mancera cedrat Boise and mancera aoud lemon mint. and slowly becoming a mancera Fan.

  • I enjoy Sebastians reviews there always spot on and you get to know as much as you can about fragrance before a purchase of samples or blind buy for the brave.

My favourite mancera to date is aoud blue notes mind you i’ve only tried like 5. And a fragrance I had to go back and buy once i tried ,there are a few but one I really loved was creeds royal oud and a bunch of the guerlain exclusifs mainly from the L ‘Art et la Matière line.

    From the U.S

  • Interesting review Sebastian. I agree, the bottle design with the red juice is beautiful. Tobacco and cinnamon are some of my favorite notes and the utilization in this fragrance makes it sound like a must-try for me. I reside in Connecticut.

  • “A GREAT JUICE, A BEASTLY and long lasting fragrance” Sebastian does it again with ease!… Mancera Red Tobacco sound very interesting for the dry down being… a creamy tobacco woody amber vanilla musky with vetiver scent. Sounds complex… Mancera being a sister company of Montale always does it a little on the softer side… But I do enjoy both! I can’t say that I have a favorite Mancera… I do love my Montale’s though… I would love to try this Red Tobacco so put me in your draw! I do live in Southern Illinois USA. My first impression fragrance that scorched itself into my brain that I had to go back and get the fragrance was Eau Sauvage Parfum by Christian Dior I just loved the smoky myrrh… THANK YOU!

  • Great review as always, dear Sebastian! I like fragrances with cinnamon and some kindd of tobacco notes, and this one sounds very beautyful and
    ideal for winter.
    I like Mancera Cedrat Boise.
    USA

  • Great review by Sebastian, i love how he described all of the different notes. He made me want this one! It sounds like he was impressed by it and it does seem to be a must-have.
I don’t have a favorite fragrance. I have had a few fragrances that are love at first smell when trying a sample, and I definitely go back and purchase.
I’m in the US, thanks for the great draw!

  • As always I enjoyed Sebastian review. Thank you Sebastian and Cafleurebon for this review and draw.
As I understand from Sebastian’s description Red Tabacco is very rch spicy-tabacco perfume very suitable for cold weather. This perfume pyramid is full of very “strong” ingredients such as “dry” and “humid” tabacco, patchouli, incense, saffron- I’m afraid that it will be too intense.

  • Lord Kelwynne says:

Spiced creaminess as a part of a leather scent is maybe as heavenly a concoction as I can imagine. I am recently wearing Mancera’s Wild Leather and love it. I dare say Mancera made a masterpiece with Wild Leather and may well have repeated it with Red Leather. I am in the US in Pennsylvania. I would like to be considered for the draw. Thank you Sebastian and CFB.

  • Great review from Sebastian. Mancera Red Tobacco sounds like a perfect fit for the cold DC winter nights. I am a newbie fragrance lover. Have read a lot about Mancera . Would be very pleased to start my Mancera collection with Red Tobacco . Thank you Cafleurebon your site rocks.

  • I agree with Sebastian — everyone needs tobacco and amber in their lives! It’s hard to beat that combination. I don’t have a favorite Mancera fragrance yet, but I’ve written off fragrances only to fall in love with the drydown. One was L’Air de Rien. I’m in the US. Thanks!

  • Frank Gambina says:

What I enjoyed about Sebastian’s review is how passionate and enthused he was when reviewing this and how he gave an insight as to which notes were the main players in this fragrance. My favorite Mancera would have to be this one as I did get a chance to sample it and would love the opportunity to own the full bottle. A fragrance that I tried out once that made me want to go back and buy it was Dior’s farenheit. Thanks for the giveaway. Have a wonderful holiday.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. This one looks like an amazing scent for winter. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

  • I always love Sebastian’s reviews as he is so clear in what he says. I’ve never tried any Mancera fragrances, so this would be a first. The notes sound marvelous. There have been many fragrances I have tried once and went and bought. Thanks for the draw. i live in the USA

  • Mancera is relatively new to me but Montale is not–Patchouli Leaves is my favorite so far.
Those notes are mostly my jam but some of the fruit-floral sounds strange. I like how Sebastian describes the progression from spice to apple-pear and then bases and tobacco.
I have bought after one trial before but prefer multiple tries and thinking and stuff. Sometimes after multiple positive impressions I become meh after buying– and sometimes an initial negative will switch when I learn more or progress somehow, or it simply feels different when I am in a different state.

Thanks for the review and draw

  • I love Seb’s reviews, they’re always the most informative and he brings us such a large variety of perfume reviews. This one sounds like it smells fantastic. I really enjoy a lot of Mancera creations, Cedrat Boise and Wave Musk are two favourites. I really want a perfume where saffron and smoke play together and I like the idea of a spicier fragrance with some green apple. I’m in the US.

  • Love the review by Sebastian as always and love how this fragrance sounds. I would LOVE to win a full bottle of it to wear this winter. I’m in the USA. VA to be exact.

  • I liked the review since Sebastian made it sound very dense and potent; perfect for the winter. I’m not as familiar with Mancera, but I love Montale. The first impression which made me buy a fragrance was probably Bel Ami Vetiver.
    I’m in Chicago IL

  • Paulie Peanuts says:

the review was well done. I always enjoy his reviews. This is a complex fragrance with a lot of different facets hitting you.. I love tobacco fragrances so this sounds right up my alley. Thanks again for the generous giveaways.. I still keep hope that I might win one one day!
    – NYC USA

  • What a lovely tobacco scent and one of my new favorites. This one is up there with PDM Herod and TF Tobacco Vanille.

  • I’d love to try this one as all the notes kick in, especially the nutmeg and the pear. I’d love to try this during the cold winter months.
I’ve never tried anything from Mancera, but I’ve always heard good things about Wild Cherry.
A fragrance that made a strong first impression on me that led to a purchase is Tuscan Leather.
    I live in the USA.

  • jrwlovescologne says:

I have been intrigued by this fragrance ever since I heard about it, I absolutely love tobacco scents and amber scents. And after watching Sebastian’s first impression’s video I really got excited about this fragrance, what I love about his full review is the beastly performance he describes and the note breakdown and the dry down of the fragrance. My favorite Mancera fragrance so far is So blue, I have not yet tried Red Tobacco. I live in Virginia

  • Xavier Reynolds says:

I loved Sebastian’s description of how big and bold of a tobacco fragrance Red Tobacco is with it being a cigar tobacco with a woody creaminess. I would love to get on my hands on a decant. From Columbus, OH.

  • Claude Campbell says:

Great Review Sebastian. I purchased a 10ml in a Facebook Fragrance Group before your review and I tend to purchase a full bottle. It is a Lovely Tobacco Fragrance.

  • Daniel Oshima says:

Cherry pipe tobacco with cinnamon Altoids is what I got as my first impression of this beautiful juice (from a decant). Certainly full bottle worthy for anyone that loves tobacco scents.

  • Loved Sebastian’s short and sweet description of Red Tobacco and his scent association with his parents haha. I haven’t tried many from Mancera but love their Roses Vanille. I think it just blooms in hot weather for me. Hmm..while testing Amouage fragrances (not all were available/on display though) I kept going back to try this one fragrance that my nose kept going back to (I had tons of sprayed test strips). It was Amouage Journey woman. I almosssst bought it but thought it was muchhhh more expensive retail and also got scared of talk about differences of magnetic/non-magmetic caps and whatnot haha. Anyways, generous giveaway, thank you! I have a US address. 🙂

  • I really enjoyed Sebastians video as I agree with the absolute beauty of this fragrance inside and out! The color of the juice is outstand, the elegance of the bottle stands out. And the smell seems amazing! Exactly what I like. I would be so extremely greatful to aquire this perfection. I am located in Minnesota.

  • Ivan Byamugisha says:

I am a routine user of Mancera perfume and exchange it for anything…guys try it
