Our friends at LeLabo sent me this message
"Barneys New York is closing their Dallas store on March 2nd and this saddens us as we loved our Le Labo counter there and loved our Dallas exclusive, Aldehyde 44, even more! After much debate, we have decided that if there is no Dallas, there can’t be any Aldehyde 44 and this perfume will therefore be discontinued…To bid Dallas farewell, we will be selling Aldehyde 44 in all our stores and online at http://store.lelabofragrances.com/ during the month of March"
Aldehyde 44 was composed by Yann Vasnier (2006) and is a gorgeous scent- sunny, modern with a bubbly opening, that tickles the nose like a fine cru champagne. It is a warm sumptous floral, with notes of jasmine, tuberose, aldehydes, narcissus, neroli, musks, ambrette, hay, jasmine sambac and woods. It is not a cold indolic white flower bomb of yesteryear. I am not a fan of aldehydes, but Aldehyde 44 is absolutely beautiful. The creamy wood gourmand drydown is special. Stock up…and say Adieu.

UPDATE:I contacted a Le Labo executive and was emailed that if you already own or purchase a bottle of Aldehyde 44 (through the month of March 2012), you will be able to refill at the Company's boutiques only until the last drop is gone. They could not confirm when that would be in writing although it seems that if you own a bottle you will always be able to refill it at a Le Labo Boutique .
