It can be frustrating when your favorite perfume is discontinued and you think that you will never find it again. Many fragrance companies aren’t listening! That is not the case with L’Artisan Parfumeur. Last year, I met Nick Steward and we discussed this very subject. Nick read your comments in Creative Directors in Perfumery and Olivia Giacobetti’s Tea for Two was one of the fragrances our readers asked the Company to reissue.  Voila… Tea for Two, Jaques Fraysse 1985 fougere L’Eau du Caporal, and Ann Flipo 2000 ode to spicy carnation OEillet Sauvage will be available to purchase November 1, 2014

Tea For Two has a special place in perfume history, taking its cue from the smoky lapsang souchong tea (of southern China), masterfully crafted into a fragrance. Tea For Two is a one of its kind with a cult following. This Eau de Toilette is warm and gourmand with notes of smoky tea, deepened by spicy notes of cinnamon, ginger and honey. L’Eau du Caporal L'Artisan Parfumeur

L’Eau du Caporal, first released in 1985, was created by Jacques Fraysse, a perfumer who found inspiration in the simple perfection of nature. Imagine a martial elegance, corporals (hence the name) in their smart uniforms, marching in formation in the crisp morning light. This is an invigorating interpretation of a classic ‘accord’ of perfumery: the fougère, much-loved by men and women, and often associated with the smells of the barber’s shop, because of its geranium, lavender and oak moss notes. It opens on fresh notes of lemon and tangerine, giving L’Eau du Caporal a brisk and energetic start. The heart notes are aromatic and elegant, while cedar, patchouli, vetiver and oak moss create a robust and long-lasting

LArtisan-Parfumeur-Oeillet-Sauvage-100ml anne flipo

Created in 2000 by Master Perfumer Anne Flipo, whose particular passion has long been for florals, OEillet Sauvage (wild carnation) is a vibrant and spicy fragrance – an ode to carnations in bloom in the wild.  Lively notes of pepper combined with pink peppercorns, which tame the carnation’s exuberance while preserving its inherent sensuality. The floral heart of carnation, rose, ylang-ylang, white lily and wallflower is vivacious and colourful. Notes of cedar and musk  are at the drydown

The three re releases will be available in 100 ml for €100Eau de Toilette in L’Artisan Parfumeur  through boutiques, concessions, distributors and  online

  • I have never smelt Oeillet sauvage and I’m very curious about this one. I hope smell it soon!

  • I will definitely need the Oeillet Sauvage, it speaks to me and I definitely have a thing for carnation. Since I already own Tea for Two I do not feel the need to buy another bottle. 🙂 looking forward to trying these

  • This is good news. I’d read great things about Tea for Two, but decided I wouldn’t even bother to try it, since it had already been discontinued. Now I may need to rethink my Christmas list.

  • MikasMinion says:

Yay! I can finally try Tea for Two without worrying that I’ll have to sell a kidney if I love it.

  • Tea for Two!!! This makes me quite happy, I will encourage everyone who loves it to get some! On the fence because I already have a big bottle, but who knows when it will come again… And I’m very excited to try Oeillet Sauvage too.

  • This is great news! I have only read about the legendary Tea for Two and never thought I would be able to find it! Thank you LArtisan as Olivia Giacobetti is one of my favorite perfumers

  • I love carnation so I need to try the Oeillet Sauvage. Tea for Two is one of my favorites but I bought a backup when it was being discontinued so I am good for a long while, but happy it will be available again.

  • Wow, this is exciting news. I love Tea for Two, so there’s that, but I thought Oeillet Sauvage was just a distant dream. Very happy about this!

  • Oeillet Sauvage the only carnation fragrance I ever loved so much but I’m referring to the original vibrant spicy powdery floral formula, not the 2006 flat plasticky woody reformulation. I still have the first limited edition «Je t’ai cueilli une fleur» bottle with a carnation attached to it. What an amazing fragrance, truly sexy carnation in a bottle. I was disappointed by the reformulation a few years later just before its discontinuation, hopefully this third version and relaunch will be truer to its original formula, I’ll find out soon but I don’t have high expectations…
