Indigo Perfumery Launches Gabriella Chieffo Perfumes in the US + Ragu, Hystera, Camehu, Lye and Aquasala Draw

Indigo Perfumery is the brainchild of Ann Onosku, a former florist whose love for artistic, independent and artisan fragrance led her to opening her own retail store in October 2013 in Lakewood Ohio. She was frustrated with the lack of niche perfumes in her area.

Ann is more than a boutique owner; perfume is her passion and  she also has a nose for what is “new and noteworthy” from around the world. Indigo Perfumery was the first US stockist for Hiram Green, Shay and Blue, Papillon Perfumery and now Ann adds Gabriella Chieffo to her carefully curated selection of olfactive delights and is the exclusive US stockist for the line at this time.

We first “met “Gabriella”, when The Silver Fox wrote his stunning review of Ragu, (which also won an award for a top 25 Best of Scent from CaFleureBon 2014). Next Susie Baird brought us Aquasala, composed by the Art and Olfaction award winning Italian Perfumer Luca Maffei  .

In addition to the distinctive fragrances, Gabriella’s artwork reminds us of Cindy Shermanesque photography and brings to mind Italian women, strong and passionate archetypes. She crafts elaborate stories surrounding the perfumes, which take on an element of fantasy.

  • Ragu or Lye! I love most Iris scents and I love Indigo! We r so lucky to have Ann and Infigo in our city!!!!

  • Just wanted to say how pioneering Ann is in her selections, and how nice to see her smiling face!

  • There are some very nice soundng fragrances here (I went to the site for more detail). 🙂 I’m going to choose Lye should I be fortunate enough to be chosen. USA

  • What a generous draw. After reading all of the descriptions, camehu. And aquasala both really speak to me, but if I were lucky enough to win I guess I would go with camehu. The bottles are gorgeous, I’m excited to try something from this line someday! Thanks for the draw, I’m in the US and I’ve looked the indigo page in Facebook as well.

Wow! Sounds wonderful! They all sound amazing, but my choice would be a bottle of Camehu because I just can’t resist a white floral…although Ragu sounds amazing too. I’m in the USA

  • Elizabeth T says:

Ragu and Lye both call to me, for different reasons. I adore spices, and really want to smell how Ragu is associated with cooking… but the incense and iris of Lye is calling my name as well. I think in the end I’d choose Ragu, but they all sound beautiful. Thank you for such a generous draw, and congratulations Gabriella on the new line!

  • I remember reading the review of Ragu and being quite taken with the idea of a perfume inspired by Italian cooking, so I think I would choose that one! Thank you for the draw, and I am in the US.

  • What a wonderful story So nice to hear of this boutique thriving… it’s a tough choice for the draw selection. I guess I’d really like to try the Ragu. Thanks for the draw

the line looks really interesting. Camehu, Lye and Acquasala especially look intriguing. It was difficult to choose among these three but my choice will be Acquasala despite the fact acquatic is probably my least favorite category. It is just that Acquasala seems like a different kind of acquatic creation that may impress me. thanks so much for the draw. I am in the US

  • Best wishes Ann on your continued success with the online store. I’m going to choose the Aquasala for the seaweed note. In the US

  • They all sound nice! I think Lye with the iris note interests me the most. Thank you for the draw! US

  • I find Ann’s vision wonderful. It is not there so I create it! Dynamic and sure footed she sounds. I would love to win a bottle of Ragu. I am a registered reader and in the US. Thank you for the generous draw and the review.

  • I’ve already liked Indigo Perfumery on FB. Oh, how I wish there was a shop like it anywhere near where I live!!! I am totally intrigued by Gabriella Chieffo’s Lye and if I had the great fortune to win this lovely and generous draw, that would be my pick. I love incense fragrances and this one sounds like a winner. The whole line is intriguing, and that makes sense since Indigo has chosen to carry it. Cheers!

    Thanks for your generosity, Ann!

If I were to win, I would choose Hystera, because I am currently looking for a new iris-centered fragrance with a woody drydown.

I am in the US, and I just liked Indigo Perfumery on FB!

  • Torn between Ragú and Lye. Ragú sounds amazing with both the pink and black pepper notes, as well as cardamon and elemi. Wow. Ok. I think I just picked Ragú. (Even though I want to sample a lemon/incense/iris fragrance!)
I’m in the U.S., and I “liked” Indigo Perfumery on FB.

  • Thank you for this contest Ann.
If I win I would like the Gabriella Chieffo sample set of Ragu Hystera, Camehu, Lye and Aquasala.
The reason why is that I have adored fragrances since I was a child and just reading the descriptions of your perfumes makes me want to sample their luscious contents.

  • I have been interested in Gabriella Chieffo since I first read about the line on this blog. It is great that Ann from Indigo will be carrying it. I did not realize she had so many fabulous niche brands. Camehu calls my name

  • i’d like to try Gabriella Chieffo profumi’s sample set because id like to wear the scents to decide which are my favorites.
I Like Indigo Perfumery on Facebook – Cynthia M Richardson.

  • I have read a lot about Aquasala lately and that would be my choice. Thank you for this draw. I live in the US.

  • Valentine Girl says:

I really want to try a perfume composed by Luca Maffei, ever since I first heard of him through CFB. In addition, I like aquatic fragrances so my choice would be Aquasala. USA resident.

  • All the perfumes sound facinating, but I’d choose Ragu, because of both the Silver Fox’s review and Gabriella Chieffo’s artwork. I’m in the USA.

  • I would choose Acquasala because it reminds me of the home I miss. Another life, sometimes it feels like a lifetime ago, but I’ll always be searching for the waters that defined that life. I’m in the US, liked Indigo on fb. Thanks!

  • Latifah S says:

I would select Ragu, if given the opportunity. It sounds absolutely delectable! I live in the US (I had already “liked” indigo perfumery.). Thanks for the draw…

  • Lovely, and the artwork is wonderful too! So hard to choose, because Hystera and Acquasala have water elements and Lye sounds like a bewitching, transporting scent. I would choose Lye because there is something about the magical purificaion that calls to me. Thanks!

What a unique and beautiful line! Her artwork is also amazing! Ann must have an amazing olfactory sense due to her work as a florist!

I’m in the USA, have liked the Indigo Perfumery as well as the CaFleurBon FB pages and I would like to win a bottle of Camaheu. Thank you!
