Finalists for the 1st Art + Olfaction Awards: Independent and Artisan Categories 2014

The Art and Olfaction Awards

In its inaugural year, the Art and Olfaction Awards received submissions from 14 countries on five continents. The Awards’ preliminary judges spent three weeks smelling and scoring the submissions in blind vials. The scores were tallied and averaged, and the ten top scorers in each category were selected as finalists, moving on to the second round of judging.Diverse in inspiration (from ripe blackberries to bathhouses, ancient emperors to New York streets), the perfumes represented here nonetheless all share several very crucial qualities: Inventiveness in intention, quality in execution, and excellence across the board. They will announce the winners in each category at the Art and Olfaction Awards on April 25, 2014 at the Goethe Institut in Los Angeles. In the meantime, please join us in congratulating our finalists.
