Franck Salzwedl Creative Director and Founder of Elisire
“A cosmos of sensations. A stellar constellation in a remote place where it feels and smells like paradis. An extraordinary journey of senses, into the open, the grand and the exotic.” – Franck Salzwedel, Creative Director and Founder of Elisire
Elisire is a luxury perfume collection founded by Franck Salzwedel, who was born in France, but raised in Asia. His first encounter with fragrance was on a plane to Jakarta where small vials of magic were distributed in individual sachets; since then his world had never been the same. After studying at the French Fashion Institute in Paris, Franck realized his life path was to pursue his passion for fragrance and translate a designer’s universe into scent. He worked as a creative director with major fashion lines such as Giorgio Armani, where he developed Acqua di Gio and Mania and then with Viktor & Rolf for Flowerbomb. Franck's journey took a different road, as Franck created his own collection a fragrant fantasyland where perfume was olfactive storytelling born of legend and lore of the past; scent as art.
Perfumers Alberto Morillas, Pierre Negrin and Ilias Ermendis of Firmemich
Elsire perfumes are "elixirs of desire", which inpsired the brand's name. Upon first spritz of each of five fragrances in the line, (composed byMaster Perfumer Alberto Morillas, Ileas Ermendis, and Pierre Negrin of Firmenich) you can tell that care and quality run parallel with love and fantasy. Each scent tells its own story and seduces the senses in a unique way; all are bold, rich, profound, and elegant. Each of the five fragrances have excellent longevity, lasting well over 8 hours and sillage is strong… sensual projection that will be noticed by those around you, but won’t overpower the atmosphere of a room.

Eau Papaguena– A jungle of sensations. Uplifting and delightful like the sun. This is a very radiant fragrance, a celebration in independence, a triumph of realization of destiny. When I smell Eau Papaguena I travel to the Amazon where the flora is verdant and the water is chrystal clear. I am brought to a moment in time where my worries dissipate and the banal is banished. This fragrance is bright, green, fresh, and sensationally celestial. Notes: Calabrian bergamot, grapefruit flower, cardamom, orange blossom absolute, ambrox, incense, vetyver, and cypress. Elixir Absolu is La Beaute in Fabula…a free spirited woman who cannot be tied down, but she is always worth the chase. Fabulous beauty wrapped in wanderlust and walking to the beat of her father’s favorite song from the 60’s, Elixir Absolu is retro chic and runway ready. She’s a European model striding through the streets of Manhattan on her way to her next photo shoot. Do you have the gusto to stop her in her tracks and make your self a memory in her mind that will last forever? Are you capable of keeping her attention long enough that she is entertained, but not long enough to make her late and in turn become annoyed? Only one way to find out, go ahead and say hello; her eyes are cheerful and her smile is genuine. Notes: Bergamot, rosebud, mandarin, mimosa, tiare Tahiti, freesia, orange blossom, magnolia, ylang ylang, sandalwood, patchouli, amber, ambrox, vanilla, musks. (IIias ERMENIDIS)

Ambre Nomade is a fragrance as beautiful as a sunset in Japan cloaked in tradition and celebrated like soldier’s return home from a 3-year war in a far off land. When you close your eyes and smell Ambre Nomade you imagine yourself standing in the gardens of an Emperor’s palace in in ancient Japan. You walk in humility and are greeted with tranquility as the narcotic ylang ylang flowers seduce the senses and the aroma of cedarwood used to build the temple ahead ease the soul. Ambre Nomade captivated me and is the inspiration for my scent prose. Notes: Apricot, ginger, clary sage, ylang ylang, cedarwood, cistus, patchouli, olibanum, vanilla, musks. (Pierre NEGRIN)

Akemi- Bright Beauty by The Nosey Artist
As I stepped over the bodies of our honorable opponents I wiped the blood off my katana and said a prayer of thanks to the gods before I signaled my troops to precede forward- we had an extraordinary journey ahead of us and this was only the beginning. While we made our way through the thick of the bamboo forest a few memories of the past started to replay in my mind.
First, memories of me as a boy in the city of Tokyo and the apricot and ginger green tea my care mother used to make me. I was raised an orphan abandoned by a peasant father filled with shame because he couldn’t afford to take care of his son. The day he dropped me off at the woman’s house his last words to me were, “Be strong, and respect life. Seek love and virtue in all things.” Those words stuck with me all through my life, even as I ran away from the orphanage and faked my family lineage in order to become the Samurai that I am today. The second memory that came to mind was my bright beauty Akemi, my love that had been captured by our rivals as a way to disorient me and throw me off the course of our mission. She had been held in captivity for 22 days now and not a moment went by that I didn’t think of her and her warm sensual love and her bright smile sweeter than the most exotic of all vanillas.
Few battles in Japan were waged during the spring, but corruption and greed had been plaguing the country for the last 10 years and it seemed like rivers of blood had been flowing and tear drops from the gods had been falling from the sky non stop no matter the season. My thoughts came to an abrupt stop and were interrupted by my instincts as I heard snaps of twigs in the distance…the enemy? No, just a red fox frolicking through the forest; more than likely on the hunt, much like we were today. It’s almost been three days since I’ve slept, but I was more alert than ever; I guess when the heart gets involved the body knows no fatigue.
Oh my sweet Akemi, I can hear your voice in my ears, your cries for help, your whispers of disparity, may the gods have mercy on you..may the gods…
My thoughts again were interrupted, this time not by sound, but by an excruciating paint I had never felt before. I became light headed and weak; I fell to my knees in despair. An arrow had been plunged into my midsection and as the acid from my stomach began to spill over my organs and the blood flowed profusely from the wound I knew I was dying. My comrades rushed to my side to help me, but I ordered them to proceed forward and save my love; I’d rather die alone than bare the shame of defeat in the company of my men
My bright beauty, oh my bright beauty, if you can feel the angst from my spirit have no fear for I am still coming…I am yours, you are mine and not even deaths hall keep us apart.
