When Christi Meshell, the perfumer for House of Matriarch read about Malek Mohammed's seemingly endless search for a hookah inspired perfume, she offered to create one for him. Nostalgia for the long-ago gatherings began to emerge and fueled the creative process., thus Sacre Tabac Sucre was born.
Universally adored for its comforting nostalgia, tobacco has a special ability to connect us to our Ancestors and the Great Spirit. Taking his place in the sacred circle beside his Father, Malek was privy to a sacred, magical rite of adulthood. Entranced by the sweet smoke and steady beat of the music, feelings of deep belonging, festivity and comfort were timelessly tendered. In creating his personal wish-list for his bespoke perfume, Malek requested accents of rich vanilla, sweet caramel and spicy anise to accompany the sour burst of red and green apples. He wanted it to be "REALLY, REALLY SWEET", with the aroma of his favorite "Starbuzz Double Apple" shisha.
This sweet unisex fragrance marries the fun and whimsy of a concept fragrance with the refinement and wearability of a Matriarch High Perfumery creation. Due to the noble quality of the materials used (natural fruit isolates, precious woods, vintage fixatives) and the extrait concentration, this hypnotic perfume wears for an incredible 24 hours on the skin.
