CaFleureBon B-Day Bash Finale: Countdown 1 “Little Black Dress Botanical Perfume” by Amanda Feeley” + Audrey Hepburn Draw

Three perfumers worked for months to create a  special fragrance to honor our readers and the first birthday of CaFleureBon. These are all limited editions.

Today, we start our day BEFORE with Amanda Feeley and a little black dress!

Happy Birthday, Cafleurebon !

I'm thrilled to participate in CaFleureBon's first year birthday bash. Cafleurebon was first to review my fragrances and awarded me " Best of 2010… Firsts for me!!! How could I share in the celebration?

I created Little Black Dress Botanical Perfume which was inspired by Audrey Hepburn's performance as Holly Go-Lightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

It fits CaFleureBon like Holly's iconic Givenchy sheath: sleek, elegant- exuding refinement and perfect for any occasion … composed of Sandalwood, Civet, Elderflower, Jasmine, Ylang ylang, rose, Rosewood, Ginger Lily, Bergamot.

This is the essence of Cafleurebon, to me. Whenever I turn to the site, I discover wonderful articles, reviews, and interviews- with stunning pictures and music

"If I’m honest I have to tell you I still read fairy-tales and I like them best of all." – Audrey Hepburn

CaFleurebon's magic is like a fairy tale!!!!

This is truly a lovely thing.
Amanda's scent is really a tiny treasure.
    Thank you, A !

  • I am entering the draw because of the notes for LBD….composed of Sandalwood, Civet, Elderflower, Jasmine, Ylang ylang, rose, Rosewood, Ginger Lily, Bergamot.
I have never tried any of Amanda's fragrances, so I don't have a favorite to choose from.  But…the notes for LBD sound right up my alley.
My LBD of natural fragrance would  be Psyche by Ajne.  Love it.
    Happy Birthday CaFleureBon.

  • I love Holly and her little black dress. I wear and have worn the little black dress forever. Always a classic…..
I'd love to try the fragrance. Enter me in the draw…..

  • I would love to try LBD by Amanda Feeley, it sounds so tempting.
My LBD natural perfume is Yael Alkalay's Guaiac perfume.
And speaking of a little black dress,  a piece of lovely art is Issac Maimon's Amanda.

  • As a long-time fan of girl punk bands, I would LOVE to have Queen of Punk- besides which the combination of scents sounds fabulous and very much befitting the name…! As for Little Black Dress- that just happens to be my staple wardrobe item and the mix of flowers would help me inaugurate spring…I love the florals!!!

  • enter me! for LBD…but Dvora sounds lovely too! anything that starts with a BANG of Pink Pepper…I'm in! My own LBD of natural perfume is anything from Soivohle…I have her Fougere which is lovely!
And for Art: Still Life with Rum Bottle is lovely but the Van Gogh of the Sunflowers made me smile the other day! 🙂

  • As for my favorite piece of art in your archives- without a doubt, that would have to be 'Madame X' by John Singer Sargent…Michalyn, you seem to have a soft spot for Sargent- as do I…'they' say that no good American art museum is without a Sargent…And Madame X is the ultimate portrait by the artist…the subject is mysterious, sexy, and definitely a woman who wore some exotic perfume!

  • Amanda! What a lovely gift to CaFleureBon! It sounds WONDERFUL. I've wanted to try some of your products in the past but haven't yet – this one sounds like a must have! I know you use all natural ingredients, which is critical for me because I have MSC. Way to go, Amanda!

  • Amanda – this is so great of you!!! What an undertaking and it sounds marvelous.
MY LBD of natural is most likely Ayala's Espionage.

  • Elderberry!  I've never smelled elderberry!  But I do love sandalwood, jasmine, rose, ginger lily…I've never tried any of Amanda's perfumes, but Prata Viridi with its green notes of hay, fir, violet leaf, woody guaicwood and warm spices sounds especially lovely.  My current LBD would be VireoPerfume's Smoke Follows Beauty.  Thanks for entering me and thank you for sharing the birthday joy!

  • Taffynfontana says:

My favorite Amanda Feeley creation is: Melange, it is spicy and sweet without it being cloying  very well balanced and a pleasure to wear. My favorite work of art displayed in the articles has to be Archimboldo's Winter. his work is strangely appealing.

  • Amanda,
Your Fleurs Botanical sounds wonderful. I haven't tried any of your fragrances yet because it's so hard to choose one. But I have browsed your ArtFire Studio once or twice 🙂

  • Z. Boudreaux says:

I've yet to try any of Amanda's ArtFire Studio perfumes as this is the first time I'm hearing about them (head in the perfumed clouds over here sometimes) but so far Little Black Dress sounds right up my civet loving alley. Meow!
My tie for LBD of natural fragrances are
    Anya's Garden: Kewdra
    and In FioreOud Amberi Attar
    I love to layer them.
I wasn't exactly sure how to best go about searching the archives to look at art used in previous post but I do love Van Gogh's Sunflowers that was posted recently!

  • Z. Boudreaux says:

I'll try to post this again and hopefully it doesn't eventually show up twice…
My tie for LBD in my perfume wardrobe of natural perfumes are
Anya's Garden: Kewdra and In Fiore: Oud Amberi Attar. They are amazing worn together.
As I've yet to try any of Amanda's perfumes I had to have a look at her site and there are so many! But to keep it simple I'd have to say that the civet in her LBD has me very curious! Bring it on!
Van Gogh's Sunflowers is always a favorite and as the days warm up it brings some inspiration for SUN!

  • I was not familiar with this perfumer or her site. But having now looked, Ophelia sounds interesting because I can't even begin to imagine what it might smell like. I would say my favorite LBD fragrance is white flowers by Ajne.
I loved the art on the February Jo Malone tea scents piece, in particular Summer Tea by Richard Miller. This one was new to me.

  • I would like to try Amanda Feeley For the love of Bees. Vanilla, honey, beewax, chamomile… yum!
My Little Black Dress Natural fragrance is April Aromatics Lindenblossom. I could wear it everyday.

And my favorite art from the archives was Iris Ukiyo-e by Katsuhiko Hokusai. I love Japanese drawings.

  • I have never tried a perf ume by Amanda Feeley but LBD sounds delicious. I would also like to try her Autumn Spice – autumn being my favourite season and the description on her site makes it sounds like an autumn walk brought to life.  As for art – I rather liked the roots and wings picture that headed the Sarah Horowitz artisans parfums collection piece on January 11, with the beautiful poem.

  • Sax and Violet sounds beautiful. I have not yet sampled any of Amanda's perfumes. I loved the dreamy quality in the artwork in the March 13th piece on fictional characters and fragrance: Max de Winter of Rebecca.
