General Manager Jennifer DiCesare and staff presented the full collection of fragrances and candles with passion. Originally released in 2016, Perfect Oud has just been updated as Perfect Oud Extrait, which is a deeper, richer interpretation of the original and is right for the Fall.

The Olfactory NYC store on Mott Street is a sought-after destination that caters to a younger demographic of scent enthusiasts. The fragrances created by top perfumers at a fraction of the cost and with similar ambiance. It can be customized and personalized. Gustavo Romero of Fragrance Alliance Network

Gustavo Romero and Karen Dubin of the Fragrance Alliance Network Sniffapalooza Fall Ball 2025

Gustavo Romero, Founder-Perfumer-Educator of the Fragrance Alliance Network, announced the upcoming 2025 Fall schedule. There is a class for every fragrance interest. Gustavo introduced some of the team in attendance: Daisy Bow, Ph.D., Perfume History Researcher Educator, Karen Dubin, Sniffapalooza Founder-Educator, Darryl Do of Delbia Do, Perfumer-Contributor, Amy Marks-McGee, Trend Consultant-Educator, and Stephen Dirkes, Perfume-Educator.

Christel Mena, founder oBAÑOMARIA, presented her two fragrances: East River Run, a fusion of New York City moments on the waterfront with its white florals, citrus accord, salty base, and Finca, an homage to her grandfather, the best coffee farmer in Honduras. While not a coffee scent per se, but more of a scent of comfort. Its notes of honey and spices encapsulate a warm and cozy atmosphere, and its tobacco and leather base are meant to remind us of a place, or person, older and wiser. Gustavo Romero is the perfumer for both scents.

Stephen Dirkes Of Euphorium Brooklyn

Stephen Dirkes presenting Trudon Sniffapalooza Fall Ball 2025

Perfumer Stephen Dirkes (Euphorium Brooklyn) spoke on the upcoming 3rd Sniffapalooza Edition to the Island of Grenada, scheduled for October 24-28. The theme for this trip is “French Heritage.” The Tower Estate features curated garden tours of floral, citrus, spices, fruits, herbs, and grasses used in perfumery. The pairings, tastings, and delicious palate training are exceptional. I attended the inaugural trip and can highly recommend the customized, private, small-group tour. Stephen Dirkes unveiled Trudons newest launch, the Fall-ready Nuit Rouge Trio of Parfums, a highly concentrated signature collection at 20% + concentration. 45 Degrees, constructed around a trio of vanilla, was created by Yann Vasnier, and Midnight Omen (Mandarin, Violet, and Woody Amber), and Mystique (Leather, Oud, and Papyrus), were both created by Émilie Bouge.

Chris Martin of Statik Olfactive & Hez Binkowitz, Perfumer

Chris Martin, Founder, Creative Director of Statik Olfactive & Hez Binkowitz, Perfumer, Fall Ball 2025

Chris Martin, owner, creative director and founder of Statik Olfactive Fragrances, launched the brand in 2023 when he couldn’t find a fragrance that fit the scent profile that he sought which led to “Into the Wild.” Statik Olfactive is devoted to crafting exceptional, bespoke fine fragrances that awaken the imagination and evoke vivid sensory journeys through scent. Each perfume is an intimate experience—designed not only to be worn, but to be brought to life by the wearer, transforming olfactive notes into immersive moments and static imagery through scent memory. Each bottle is labeled, filled, and packaged by hand in-house to ensure the highest level of quality and care is given to each order. Six in the line at this time of my post, including the recent, Crème de Menthe Café (Hez Binkowitz), a 30% Extrait de Parfum concentration featuring notes of Peppermint, vanilla, and Coffee Absolute.

Todd Thurman & Jeff Miller of Free Yourself perfumes

Todd Thurman & Jeff Miller of Free Yourself Sniffapalooza Fall Ball 2025

Todd Thurman & Jeff Miller of Free Yourself’s fragrances are anchored in Grasse, France, with craftsmanship in Bennington, Vermont. Hallie Sahar, founder of House of Sahar, presented Sultana by Sahar (Justin Frederico). This is a fragrance that is both spellbinding and seductive. A dark, velvety floral, with smoldering woods, and a touch of amber warmth. For those who crave opulence with an edge of the unknown, this fragrance is pure, untamed luxury.

Chana Goodman, Founder/Perfumer, Parfums Obim, lifelong curiosity and passion for aroma and fragrance led her to a mentorship with perfumer Iris Parker. Spanish natural brand The House of Puentes four fragrances were knockouts. Galavant (sandalwood, creamy vanilla, ylang, and oakwood), Iris Doux (extract of the orris root, ylang ylang, mimosa, frangipani, and cedarwood), Eadon (mandarin, orange blossom, jasmine, tropical fruits with amber and spices), and the latest release, Lilith (Cedar of Lebanon with spices, leather, and ambergris).

TRUDON SoHo Boutique

TRUDON SoHo Boutique

Our one post-lunch stop was a highlight: Trudon’s SoHo jewel box boutique on Spring Street. Trudon, founded in 1643, is the world’s oldest candle maker and still produces handcrafted masterpieces at its Normandy atelier today. As the former royal wax manufacturer for the royal families until the French Revolution, Trudon helped create glorious and enchanting moments at the Versailles castle with its candles. The boutique offers everyone a chance to enjoy the essence of its legendary candle creations and explore the Eaux de Parfums. Besides the Nuit Rouge Trio of Parfums, the new Holiday Candle Collection is exquisite. A wonderful way to finish the scent-filled day!

Thank you, Team Karen (Karen Dubin and Karen Adams), for a most excellent Fall Ball 2025. Looking forward to seeing you at the Spring Fling 2026!

It’s great to see so many brands come together for Sniffapalooza Fall Ball 2025. I especially enjoyed reading about the latest from ScentBar, Le Labo, and D.S. & Druga, along with some many new brands that I haven’t heard about. I would love to win this swag bag. I live in Maryland USA.

  • What an incredible write-up, Hernando! I really enjoyed the depth of your report and how each stop came alive on the page. The presentation of D.S. & Durga’s Cognac Reign especially caught my eye, and I also loved learning about Blueme’s focus on scent and wellness. Sniffapalooza always sounds like such a dream experience for fragrance lovers. Thank you for sharing the energy and details of the Fall Ball. I’m in Pennsylvania, USA.

  • Sniffapalooza Fall Ball 2025 came across as a truly special experience for fragrance enthusiasts, and Hernando’s report captured the atmosphere with clarity and warmth.

As someone who has not attended Sniffapalooza yet, I was glued to every detail Hernando shared. The boutique visits, the passionate crowd, and the lunch presentations were packed with insights, especially how brands build emotional storytelling through scent.

I am especially excited to get my nose on Mizensir Perfect Oud Extrait and Le Labo Eucalyptus 20. Hernando’s descriptions made them sound bold, textured, and unforgettable. If this is what Sniffapalooza delivers, I am already planning for next year. Until then, this report was the perfect way to live the magic from afar. Scented regards from NY, USA

  • Thank you Hernando for the detailed walk through and I’m praying for a Sniffapalooza to land close to home as I’d be excited to attend one. That Perfect Oud Extrait is calling to me 🙂 I’m in USA

  • Ramses Perez says:

Hernando has to let me know the next time this is happening because I’d love to attend th event. This is a great event to get to know many scents at once and experiencing a scentful day. Many familiar brands/houses I see here but also some I did not know existed (a shame). I can picture the different boutiques making recommendations based on the season and how one’s feeling that day. New York is becoming a one stop shop to all the fragrance houses here in the US and that just goes to show how in demand fragrances are nowadays. Sniffapalooza is a fun way to discover new scents in a day’s work. I’m located in the USA.

  • I enjoyed reading about the new offerings and for me the house of Blueme was new and I am very much interested in the science and research behind the perfumes they are offering. It sounds like a beautiful way to give ourselves self care. I’m completely down for that! Exciting new fragrances coming out this year!
I am located in the U.S.

  • Matthew Thompson says:

That looks like a fun experience to visit all of the different stores and smelling all that the brands have to offer. I’ve only heard of a couple brands and after reading the article now i have more brands to explore. I’ve wanted to try commodity, le labo and mizensir fragrances. This would be a real treat!! Thank you kindly!

  • Holy wow! This seems like just an amazing time. I’ve never attended a Sniffapalooza event. I think I am probably most excited to try Trudon’s latest creations. I am in the US.

  • jollyjoshua14 says:

Wow look at all of this content, I’m sure the weather felt great in New York earlier this month. I really liked Hernando’s review of Blueme, I haven’t really heard of science based fragrances before so I’m curious to know what their brand is all about. That lunch at La Mela looked like a good time too. I haven’t attended a Sniffapalooza event before, and I’m excited to smell some of Granado’s offerings! USA.

  • Regis Monkton says:

I would love to win a bag full of samples because I enjoy discovering new fragrances and while not being able enough to go out and sample fragrances anywhere near as often as I’d like to. I would like to try any of the ones offered in the swag bag. I appreciate hearing about the many interesting fragrances, candles, and companies that Hernando mentioned, e.g.: Lily Davon’s Bubble Phase, Into the Wild by Statik Olfactive, The Naxos Apothecary and Korres, and a lot more. Please count me in! I live in MD, USA.

  • Oh my Hernando, fabulous coverage of this event. So many great places to visit for our scent addictions. Free Yourself is an interesting concept (I am intrigued.) Hernando, thank you for another excellent event report. I have not attended this event before, but you never know, right?

  • Sniffapalooza always has a lot to cover and seems like a really fun recurring event—glad the weather was perfect for a stroll. All of these sound like worthy stops, but I’m curious about the “lush, tropical forest” in Granado’s Prince Street boutique and the D.S. & Durga shop. And glad Chris and Hez were presenters—their work with Statik Olfactive seems really fun and high-concept. Cool event.

    I’m in the continental USA.

  • quixoticcynic says:

This was such a delightful recap of so many events! I massively appreciate how detailed and separated each of the mini-entries are–it was like I got to move from place to place as well! I’ve never been to a Sniffa before, but it always sounds like the best experience. From this roundup, the new trio of Trudon fragrances sounds most intriguing on first pass-through, but so many others sound delicious. I’m in the US and would love to be entered into the giveaway!

  • This is such an exciting draw! I am an inveterate sampler, and this amazing swag bag contains weeks and weeks of indulgent fun!

Hernando’s play-by-play report is filled with great information as well as intriguing details, as always. I especially appreciated learning about Todd Thurman & Jeff Miller of Free Yourself’s eco-conscious philosophy and their Grasse/Vermont connection. I’d love to hear Daisy Bow give a presentation someday, but I haven’t been to NYC since I moved away from there in the early 90s.

How I wish we had a Sniffapalooza type of event here in Chicago!

Please do enter me into the draw!
I remain in Chicago, IL, USA.

  • I have never attended Sniffapalooza, but I would love to someday. I’ve been a longtime fan of Malin Goetz and have always enjoyed their rum collection. I have not tried Le Labo’s newest release, EUCALYPTUS 20, but I have been curious to test it. I’ve wanted to try other new releases, especially D.S. & Durga Cognac Reign, Statik Olfactive Fragrances (particularly Creme de Menthe Cafe), Free Yourself Air, and Lily Davon Bubble Phase. I’ve tried three fragrances from House of Puente, but would love to experience Galavant. The lunch presentations sound interesting. The newsletter, Trend Watch, would be a great addition to my newsletters. Overall, Hernando’s experience at Sniffapalooza sounds like it was a great time!

Thank you for the generous opportunity. I am located in the USA.

  • I was most excited to see that Korres has a sister store. I was not aware of that. I love Korres skin care products. I was also interested in Granado. I just got a sample of Fervo Intense yesterday, my first time trying the brand. David Ecker’s offerings also enticed me. I have not been to the event. Thankfully I can always depend on Hernando to fill me in on all the new fragrant items. USA. WA state.

  • I really enjoyed discovering the new releases, and Blueme is a completely new house to me. What fascinates me most is the scientific and research-driven approach behind their perfumes; it’s such a beautiful fusion of art and chemistry. There’s something genuinely uplifting about fragrances designed for self-care, and I’m absolutely here for that! Exciting times ahead with these upcoming launches. Greetings from NY 😉

  • Wow what an experience I live in California and would love to fly to NY and attend! I am interested in everything especially Mizensir, Statik Olfactive and visiting Blueme. Free yourself also sounds unique.

Hernando’s report made me feel like I was actually roaming down Elizabeth Street with the group, especially his vivid storytelling around how each boutique curated a sensory mood rather than just presenting perfumes. I haven’t attended a Sniffapalooza event yet, but I was fascinated to learn from the lunch presentations how fragrance education is expanding into travel, history, and wellness. I’m especially excited to get my nose on Blueme’s science-based wellness fragrances and Trudon’s Nuit Rouge Trio, both of which sound like they transform scent into an emotional experience. I’m in the USA

  • What an amazing event! Loved reading this writeup — happy to hear about new and upcoming releases from some houses that I love, but also was excited to learn about some houses and shops that I wasn’t familiar with. I’d love to visit the Naxos Apothocary someday, as I visited the island once and would love to smell fragrances that are interpretations connected to that special place. I’m located in the US.

  • foreverscents says:

The Sniffapalooza sounded like the perfect autumn event. I love shopping for perfumes around Elizabeth Street. I hope someday to attend one of these events. I am particularly interested in Statik Olfactive Fragrances. I also would love to visit Blueme.
    I live in the USA.

  • Sniffapalooza Fall Ball 2025 sounds like the scent-lover’s dream: an entire evening celebrating niche and indie perfumes, discovering hidden gems and sharing the magic of fragrance. The idea of walking away with a swag bag filled with treasures makes me excited all the way in India! I’d be overjoyed to win one of those little bottles that speak volumes. Thank you so much, Cafleurebon, for creating this beautiful space for perfumery and giving us this chance!

  • What a fun event. And the lunch looks so fun! I would love to get my nose on a Trudon candle, Mizensir’s Perfect Oud Extrait, Le Labo’s Eucalyptus 20, House of Puente’s Lilith (Cedar of Lebanon with spices, leather, and ambergris), and any warm autumn or winter scent. Thank you for covering the event and adding to my wish list for more scents to try! I’m in Seattle

  • I took my first trip to NYC last February and felt like I had the time of my life.
All of the stores (many featured here) were welcoming and helpful and engaging.
The fall timing isn’t great for me, but winning the swag bag would certainly take the sting of missing out away.
    Thanks for the giveaways.

  • This was a informative read. I imagine the fall in NYC being picturesque and as the foliage and the seasons change the big apple keeps moving. With so many new fragrances houses coming out over the last few decades it’s hard to keep track of unless your an insider or the rare enthusiast but as the industry expands so does consciousness. I really like the sound of perfect oud by mizenser. This read was kind of all over the place but the opportunity to try a medley of the familiar and the lesser known is a great thing. With designers constantly changing its challenging to keep up, but with niche/indie juice you have a more solid and selective clientele. From USA

  • Kassie Tocko says:

What I enjoyed about this article was how it captured the vibrant energy of the Sniffapalooza Fall Ball — the way scent, community, and creativity all came together on one perfect autumn day in New York. I loved reading about the variety of stops, from artisanal houses like D.S. & Durga and Mizensir to the newcomers like Blueme and Free Yourself. Each moment felt alive with discovery, passion, and artistry. The storytelling made you feel as though you were walking Elizabeth Street yourself, surrounded by fellow fragrance lovers, immersed in notes of vanilla, oud, cherry, and amber. It truly highlighted how fragrance connects people — not just through scent, but through shared curiosity and joy. I am in the United States, Colorado. Thank you for unfolding this fun journey for us readers!

Thanks for the vibrant event report! The way the Sniffapalooza Fall Ball 2025 brought together so many niche-and-indie voices—retailers, perfumers, scented brands—felt like a fragrant carnival of discovery. I loved how the write-up described walking through the five-course lunch, visiting eleven shops, and sampling boutique launches; the energy of “sniffing with purpose” really came through. It reminded me that fragrance culture isn’t just about bottles—it’s about connections, community, and the stories behind each scent.

I’d love to smell Statik Olfactiv and DS & Durga
