Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours Review (Chris Maurice) 2024 + Got Peach? Giveaway

I always get giddy when I review a Chris Maurice fragrance – because, to be honest, nobody does fruits better (to my taste and by my book). But when Chris Maurice joins forces with Sarah Baker? That’s when the things that are happening to fruits… get dangerously delicious. Peach’s Revenge was my last summer’s fling that turned into a full-blown obsession -from the fuzzy blush of the peach to the silky nectarines and the tangy, creamy swirl that made it borderline edible (and totally addictive). It triggered a full-on cute aggression episode – you know, that slightly unhinged desire to squeeze, pinch, or bite into something just because it’s too damn adorable? Yup. That. That is exactly the Peach’s revenge effect, that I have covered, in depth, here. And now, just when I thought it couldn’t get any more fun – Sarah & Cris pull up on Vespas, eyes half closed, mischievous smirk to the side, pastel skies in the rear-view mirror – type of grand entrance and I know I’m in trouble. Again.

The first one to steal my heart was Rococo Pie – who entered the stage like a courtesan who knows damn well she’s the main character. A hedonistic gourmand with a powdered dizzying décolleté and a beauty mark subversively drawn just above those lips, under the Venetian mask it wears. You think you’re here for the dessert – and, well… you kind of are – but also for the whispers between the rococo-painted ceilings and peach-stained sticky-silk sheets. It’s peach pie and walnut cream spooned over a base of sandalwood and jasmine, melting into milky vanilla ice cream and musk, so decadent it should come with an 18+ (century) rating. And if Peach’s Revenge was cheeky and irresistible, Sarah Baker Rococo Pie is opulent, mysterious, and deliciously naughty – with a smile that says, “I won’t tell if you don’t.” Well, just did, but, ignore that…

But then it happened. The second I smelled the other sample, Pastel Rumours, my pupils turned into little cartoon hearts. My ears folded like Puss-in-Boots in Shrek, and I fainted down an imaginary staircase in slow motion, one pastel sigh at a time. Because this one – oh, this one – is all trembling hands, velvet ribbons slipping from tied wrists, and sighs echoing in rooms overlooking the sea. This is what pastel goth dreams are made of – milky, fruity, opalescent, a little bit pale, a little bit pouty – and emotionally extra dramatic in the best way possible.

AI (realistic) selfie-testing Pastel Rumours by Nicoleta

Setting: Coastal Italy, early morning, 2nd of June, 1991

Soft morning light filters through translucent beige linen curtains. A Vespa hums in the background, off-screen, just outside. The camera pans over a marble breakfast table: a half-eaten fuzzy peach, a ceramic bowl of fruit loops stained pink by the milky mess, and a pink lipstick-smudged straw resting in a tall glass of melted pink milkshake. Somebody decided to shave some ginger, last night…for some reason –  so it’s everywhere. A spoon is abandoned, mid-sin, sunken into what was once a perfect swirl of custard cream and caramel, now melting, slowly dripping over the edge of the bowl.

Cue soundtrack:

A perfectly lacquered finger pushes the half-peeled off-play button. Siouxsie And The Banshees – Kiss Them For Me – just the chorus -is looping on repeat on the scratched vinyl.

Action: The woman steps into the frame. Silk colorful headscarf. Oversized sunglasses. Messy blunt fringe and colorful pinup tattoos. Expression is unreadable except for the ghost of a smirk, on which she has just finished applying a new layer of neon pink lipstick. She grabs the milkshake, takes a sip, and walks outside.

It’s divoon, oh it’s serene / In the fountains pink champagne / Someone carving their devotion In the heart-shaped pool of fame / Kiss them for me, I may be delayed/ Kiss, kiss them for me, I may find myself delayed”*

The Vespa roars to life. A seagull screams. The camera zooms in to the table, where the note reads, just two words: Xoxo, peaches!

Everything about your descriptions here has me very intrigued indeed. The cartoon cat eyes really nailed it though! Then the notes…ginger and cardamom and it being the milkier/softer sister to Peach’s Revenge. I would LOVE to try Pastel Rumours! (I am from Ireland) xox.

I have seen many interviews with Sarah Baker and although she loves her animalice, I’m so glad she is finally venturing into more gourmand territory. Peaches Revenge was the talk of the town last year and Pastel Rumours seems to keep the trend and be the talk of the town this year. You had me at peaches, milk and cream because I love gourmand fragrances. Sarah Baker really has her ears in the streets because she has been hitting it out of the park with the last few releases, giving us what we crave. I’m located in the US.

  • DAISY PEREZ says:

can’t wait to try these new creations.

  • vanessako says:

I just acquired Peaches Revenge and it was love at first sniff with heart shaped eyes and all so Pastel Rumours is cat calling my name big time! I can’t resist the peaches ….

  • The vivid, dreamy imagery of Pastel Rumours, with its milky, peachy, and creamy notes, sparks my interest. The playful yet dramatic vibe, paired with the unique blend of fruit loops, ginger, and custard cream, sounds irresistibly delicious. I live in Poland, EU.

  • Well if that doesn’t set a scene I don’t know what does. Kiss them for me indeed. I might find myself delayed with a new fragrance and a milkshake! In maryland.

  • This sounds like a vanilla peach ice cream dessert!!!! I enjoy Sarah Baker fragrances and I’m so glad she’s created a fruity gourmand to add to her collection. I would love to try this one!

  • Chris Maurice, gourmand territory and Sarah Baker….this must be a super win. The name of the perfume “pastel rumours” is very intriguing and Nicoleta’s description and words are amazing as always. I would love to try it, thanks for the chance. I’m from EU

Nicoleta has caused me to think I’ve been missing out concerning these peach-centric fragrances from Sarah Baker. I still haven’t tried anything yet from Sarah Baker, so I feel I’ve been really missing out. I’m under the impression that Pastel Rumours is like a peach milkshake. Either way, I’d like to try it. I live in the USA.

  • teatreesoil says:

Nicoleta’s writing here is so dynamic!! tbh, the writing style alone makes me think that this scent (&the entire trio) must be worth sampling– pastel rumours inspired such a creative scene! mediocrity does not guide such a muse….
peach’s revenge sounds absolutely delicious & i think pastel rumours sounds like a fun lactonic twist on the peach dna!

    thanks, from USA

  • Milky peach laced with cardamom and ginger – delightful! I particularly like the idea of an “opalescent” fragrance. I have yet to try any Sarah Baker fragrances but the more I read about them the more curious I become! I am in USA.

This is a gorgeous scent! This review does a great job describing the feeling it evokes. I I’ve in the US, thanks for the chance to win a bottle!

  • How can a perfume with a fruit loop note not sound amazing and I love a laconic fragrance. This sounds like a scent straight out of my childhood.

  • Peaches and fruit loops is a yes for me . I like Nicoleta described it as what pastel goth dreams are made of – milky, fruity, opalescent, a little bit pale, a little bit pouty – and emotionally extra dramatic in the best way possible.

Fruit loops! I had a recent obsession with cereal milk that has yet to materialize itself in perfume form but this sounds like it could do the trick. Fruity cereal milk! Yes please. I’d like to turn into a cartoon eyed black cat immediately. 🙂 This sounds divooon. I live in the USA

Very beautiful review! Nicoleta’s vivid descriptions truly transport you into the heart of Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours.
Sarah Baker is one of my favorite indie houses and also I love Cris Maurice creations. Pearche’s Revenge is my most loved and favourite from this house, alongside Gold spot & Loudo!
I’m particularly intrigued by the multifaceted evolution of the fragrance and more mostly to a more mellow, milky spin off version of Peache’s Revenge. The peach note is done with bright almost dreamy and airy facets of milk, custard cream and the sparkle of spices around it! I’m so intrigued!!!
Thanks for the chance to win this intriguing perfume!
    Warmest regards!

An absolute olfactive dream…A Vespa to set the mood wrapped up in a scent that is dreamy, fruity, milky. Enough said. I’m sold 🙂

  • I loved this description! A breakfast table on a terrace in coastal Italy, early summer morning, peaches, ginger and custard cream and caramel, and then a „retro modern” pinup beauty walking into the picture (for some reason, I imagine her as a redhead / ginger also). Pastel Rumours sounds absolutely mouthwateringly delicious, playful and full of character and I would be delighted to try it.

  • Oh, well … I can def picture this – “The camera pans over a marble breakfast table: a half-eaten fuzzy peach, a ceramic bowl of fruit loops stained pink by the milky mess, and a pink lipstick-smudged straw resting in a tall glass of melted pink milkshake”.

What a scene! I would love this kind of perfume spilled over my arms in this beautiful and sunny day, even though I’m not on the Amalfi Coast. Maybe I’ll try this trillogy of peaches, but this really sounds right up my alley with the milky tones! I love lactonics and, of course, milkshakes. Please take me into din bright peachy dream.

XOXO Sarah and Cafleurbon team! I live in Eu.

  • Patricia R. says:

The rococo themes re-emerge throughout history and I think it last could have appeared when I was introduced to these 90s catalogues of consumable everything from American and west German supermarkets that featured colours, fashion and consumables unknown and unseen to our country in the eastern Europe. I know everything has dissipated by now with global changes, but the feeling of what indulgence looked and tasted like remained. This must be a warm, fuzzy fragrance compared to Narciso Poudre maybe, or the fruity peachy hits of the 80s. I live in the EU.

  • Nicoleta is literally describing the fragrance of my dreams! Mouthwatering review, also it sounds like it would be my ideal take of Peach’s revenge, the mellowed version we didn’t know we needed.

  • I discovered Pastel Rumours for the first time this year at Esxence 2025 in Milan, and it immediately stood out as one of the most unique scents I experienced at the fair. It felt like stepping into a soft-focus memory familiar yet playfully abstract, with a peachy warmth that lingered long after the first spray. Chris Maurice managed to blend something nostalgic without making it obvious, and that’s what truly impressed me. I’m from in Europe, Romania and would love the chance to revisit that beautiful impression through this giveaway.

  • SabrinaSav says:

I find the article very informative and i also appreciate learning about Sarah Baker artistic nature and love for everything artistic plus basically the 3 reviews. Well structured three way fragrance episode by Nicoleta Tomsa, I like the more thoughtful overall experience I just had.
I am a gourmand , tropical and milky fragrances lover and Pastel Rumours appeals to me the greatly .I learned about the kinetic pairing of ripe peaches , milk and fruity loops , Patel Rumours is such a distinct mellow essence.
My personal final flourish is the harmony Sarah Baker was able to achieve with the help of master perfumer like Chris Maurice. Nicoleta article appealed to me greatly.
Thank you very much Nicoleta Tomsa, Sarah Baker, Chris Maurice, Cafleurebon EU

What I just read was not just a refined and detailed read , but some unique Vespa stories with guilty peachy , milky and caramel pleasures . Now I have the chance of winning on of Sarah Baker peach ambitions and dreams turned into reality , and I’m loving it.
What I enjoyed overall are the three tones of the “Got peach giveaway” giveaway since Nicoleta also spoke of Peach’s Revenge and Rococo Pie other than the introduction to Pastel Rumours, both grabbed my attention right away .
I love good and charming gourmands , finest quality ingredients , and having butterflies in my stomach by riding a motorcycle , Pastel Rumours is like a medley of all.

    Thanks

  • My favorites Chris Maurice and Sarah Baker. Pastel Rumours has my attention. Nice to see gourmand notes. Look forward to this creations. USA

Thank you Nicoleta on describing both Pastel Rumours and the other 2 fragrances chosen to represent the peach trilogy by Sarah Baker.
I currently own Gold Spot , another Sarah Baker fragrance made by Chris Maurice and find Rachel’s olfactive description of his Pastel Rumours creation just as delicious.
I know I will enjoy the sweet whipped cream and caramel layers , but even more the peaches and milk , and the nod to the Vespa motorcycle . To celebrate Pastel Rumours now , I’ll grab a milkshake myself since I’m in a coffee shop at the moment, as I anxiously await to see if I’m lucky enough to win this flirtatious wink giveaway
I had a great time, thank you

    Howdies from Germany
I’m very much picky in terms of lactonic and fruity fragrances , and especially those that combine the two genres.
Nicoleta Tomsa assessment of Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours brought me back to my childhood when grandma used to make different peach preservatives i used to eat on a spread with grandpa’s homemade butter and bread , great times I miss a lot.
I became instantly attracted to the comforting gourmand smell of Pastel Rumours together with carefully selected by Chris Maurice other deeper and comforting shades like the musk and ginger . I really like the dance between delicious and daring.
When I buy new niche fragrance the quality should be outstanding, and the with certain level of uniqueness , I’m definitely impressed.
Sum total i love the whole Nicoleta Tomsa read , and I’d also love to win a bottle of Pastel Rumours
    Thank you

  • GoodBookAndTea says:

Awesome niche style of review on Cafleurebon as usual , this time by Nicoleta Tomsa .
She was able to trick my imagination into thinking of eating fruity loops with warm milk , where the sweetness and boldness are perfectly dosed and compounded to alluring caramel , custard cream and ginger.

Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours is bright and milky, dreamy and pastel, mouthwatering and delicate, creamy and cute – all at once

By all means YES to what Nicoleta Tomsa stated , fun zealous review and one spectacular fragrance like Pastel Rumours
Warm thanks to Sarah Baker, Cafleurebon and Nicoleta Tomsa. EU

  • hide_and_seek says:

Pastel Rumours sounds great, I’m fascinated by the love affair between the delicious ripe peaches, whipped cream and fruity loops from one angle, and the more daring and the musk , ginger and spices on another. Nicoleta Tomsa pointed out that the big ceramic bowl with fruity loops and milk do clash in a perfect way with other ingredients, leading to a brilliant fruity and milky cloud , there’s a theory that opposites attract and Chris Maurice work is the evidence.
The intricate layering of palatable and edgy notes , plus the beautiful melody with opalescent rhythm narrative do make Pastel Rumours sound enchanting and multifaceted.
    Thanks a lot EU

  • Captivating read by Nicoleta no mistake
I can’t help but to be impressed by Sarah Baker since she’s eager to acquire knowledge and to improve, to become better and better. When it comes to fruity fragrances Chris Maurice is one of the best i agree.
I’m exposed to niche perfumery but not yet to Sarah Baker , and i can’t help but to be impressed how she gave Chris Maurice a platform to create 3 very special peach fragrances , each with its own with different hints of peaches.
Other than wanting to win the contemporary high-end Pastel Rumours fragrance , I’d like to make myself a bowl of fruity loops and to eat a couple of peaches. Reading the article was so much fun
EU , thank you very much

  • I’ve sampled this one and peach milkshake absolutely his the nail on the head for this one! It’s such a delicious scent. I definitely get the fruity cereal vibes from this as well. I have yet to smell the other two in this trilogy but so far Pastel Rumours is the best peach fragrance I’ve ever tried. A perfect pick me up scent for a gloomy day. I’m in the USA.

  • Laurentiu says:

Never tried anything from Sarah Baker, but I am always excited to test new things and Pastel Rumours, judging by the notes, seems to be quite a treat! Thanks! EU

    Hi there,

You had me at Siouxsie and the Banshees…It is always right up my alley to set the stage for a fragrance by suggesting specific music playing in the background. I’m wondering at what point this summer I will be able to stop racing around and actually focus on trying these beautiful-sounding Sarah Baker scents. A second goal in the months ahead is to bake a perfect gluten-free peach pie! Much love, and thank you. I am in NYC/USA.

  • Happy_Coco says:

The magnitude of Sarah Baker potential is massive , even though Peach’s Revenge is a trendy fragrance i still believe the brand is quite underrated considering there’s also remarkable creations like Loudo , Jungle Jezebel and Bascule.
Since Jungle Jezebel and Bascule i own i believe Sarah Baker path is based on ambition , creative approach , love for perfumes and and working with artists like Chris Maurice.
Like everything in real life some components of Pastel Rumours are gentle like the small amount of ginger , some delicious like the caramel, juicier peaches and fruity pebbles, others serene like milk and light musk , the balance between smooth and tasty Chris Maurice created is what I’m looking for the most. Even Nicoleta Tomsa is as thrilled as she’s ever been thinking about ceramic bowl of fruity loops, milk ,peaches and riding on a Vespa motorcycle
    From EU. Many thanks

  • Just by reading the article I visualized the exact same moment when Nicoleta sprayed every single fragrance from Sarah Baker Peach trilogy on skin for the first time , I can almost see the delightfulness in his eyes .
Personally I’ve never smelled peach fragrance with milk accord , caramel and ginger , kudos to Sarah Baker and Chris Maurice for the idea. What differentiates him from a lot of other accomplished perfumers is that she’s focusing on the whole package, and not just on one or two aspects , performance is always on point with his fragrances.
I like all kinds of gourmands , but especially the more discreet and not overly aggressive ones. I’m interested is a smell like some delicious sweet peaches and fruity pebbles are dropped in a bowl of warm milk. I’m so excited about Pastel Rumours , the fragrance is so succulent in a comforting manner.
I also like how Nicoleta included extra information about the Peach’s Revenge and Rococo Pie since I don’t know the brand.EU
    Thank you for the effort

  • What truly captivates me in this review is the vivid imagery that brings “Pastel Rumours” to life. The description of a sunlit morning in coastal Italy, with a half-eaten peach and a melted pink milkshake, evokes a sense of nostalgic indulgence. The blend of peach, fruit loops, milk, ginger, and caramel paints a picture of a playful yet sophisticated fragrance. It’s this juxtaposition of innocence and sensuality that intrigues me and makes me eager to experience the scent firsthand.
    I’m from EU, Romania.

I can say, with confidence that every fragrance lover knows Chris Maurice for his compositions and like Nicoleta Tomsa said he’s one of the best when it comes to fruity perfumes. All those people also need to try Sarah Baker fragrances , unique and alluring creations , long lasting on top of that.
I no longer live in Paris but I still visit once a month and I always try to find some time to visit and try something new , Sarah Baker fragrances I discovered at at Odorare Parfumerie , charming boutique in Villepinte , Saint-Saint-Denis a superb of Paris , the place I bought Peach’s Revenge.
I like Nicoleta Tomsa detailed and free spirited explanations of both Rococo Pie and Pastel Rumours. I love the balance between the different gourmand elements , and the more spicy and creamy ones in Sandal Rice.
It’s excellent to know there are such fragrances produced, with spicy richness , fruity loops , fleshy peaches , soft milky haze that flows all day , Pastel Rumours checks all the boxes.
Like I said Peach’s Revenge i own and I’ll be happy to win Pastel Rumours

As usual there’s no basic information with Cafleurebon , Nicoleta review is multidimensional as well .
I wish I hadn’t sold my Vespa last year , I wonder if I should buy another one ? What I do know for sure is that I need to sample Sarah Baker fragrances, starting with Pastel Rumours, Peach’s Revenge and Rococo Pie.
I know niche fragrances and with the brutal competitiveness on the market i need something big to really grab my attention, and Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours high quality raw materials, mouthwatering peaches , fruity loops and ginger in milk bowl connections, caramel and whipped cream aroma melding with the musk did the trick for me.
Through Pastel Rumours I can book a flight to Italy, and buying some high end peach dessert with milk , ride on a vintage Vespa whiteout actually being there. You can’t beat that

    Howdies people
I’m found of how Nicoleta Tomsa decided to combine her deep understanding of Sarah Baker Peach Trilogy collection with 3 exquisite fragrances in a singular experience for Cafleurebon readers , magnificent idea.
The right way to start is with her thoughts on Peach’s Revenge and Rococo Pie , and then go to Pastel Rumours.
The intro was beautiful, it invoked a sense of peaches in different forms , smell and taste , more edible , tangy and creamy Peach’s Revenge,  the more hedonistic,  opulent and nutty Rococo Pie . Pastel Rumours core is  opulent too , with milk , shaved ginger,  custard cream and a woman with silk colorful headscarf  LOL
By Nicoleta words alone I can tell she’s found of how Pastel Rumours smells and the peachy message behind . You bet I’d love to win a bottle
    Million thanks EU

I believe it’s easy to say Nicoleta Tomsa enjoyed exploring Sarah Baker peach collection way more than usual.
The idea of adding juicy peach to fruit loops , and then again to milk and whipped cream base, with pinch of kink running through the composition , only comes to show the creative part of Sarah Baker and Chris Maurice character.
Powerful and novelty fragrance with lots of twists , starting with peaches and milk , and ending with riding on a Vespa, no wonder Nicoleta finds Pastel Rumours smooth and alluring.

Great review! I love the way Nicoleta compared this beautiful peach trio of fragrances to edible addiction with Peach’s Revenge, naughty whispers with Rococo Pie ,and pinup girl with neon lipstick and peach milkshake with Pastel Rumours 🙂 All 3 fragrance are true juxtaposition of classic and modern , comforting and playful . I really love a good peach and milk notes and Pastel sounds so interesting, mixing current and past. The notes also sound wonderful!
Thank you Cafleurebon for the draw, from EU

  • I’ve followed Sarah Baker’s work for a while, and while I’ve always admired her bold, animalic creations, I’m thrilled to see her embrace gourmands with such finesse. Peaches Revenge was an absolute sensation last year—juicy, addictive, and impossible to ignore. As a gourmand lover, this is exactly the kind of decadent, creamy sweetness I crave. Each new release feels like a direct response to what fragrance lovers are yearning for. If this is the direction her brand is heading, I’m here for it! Greetings from NY

    Hello from UK
Jovoy UK boutique in Mayfair is where I discovered Sarah Baker fragrances , and bought Loudo and Gold Spot.
I like learning about the essence of Pastel Rumours , and how the fragrance was made to encapsulate juicy peaches, caramel, fruit loops, some ginger and dipped into a bowl of milk .
Nicoleta Tomsa do have a point when she implied Chris Maurice fruity fragrances are one of the best out there, they are likable colorful and often delicious. Nothing short of soothing desserts are of my liking, especially if there’s peaches and milk .
Based on Nicoleta’s sterling work and my experience with Loudo and Gold Spot , with Pastel Rumours i’m envisioning excellence once again
    Thank you so much

I’m very picky about brands and fragrances I’m wearing, especially gourmands and Sarah Baker fragrances are on my radar after all the praises Peach’s Revenge received from Cafleurebon and Instagram last year . Thanks to Nicoleta i’m aware they also released two other peach gems called Rococo Pie and Pastel Rumours.
Chris Maurice is a true star in perfumery , he’s is the author of multiple fragrance i love. When I saw his name listed as the perfumer i was expecting he’d create a dense gourmand with peach accord , but the caramel , fruit loops , ginger and milk are appreciated additions .Pastel Rumours is a contemporary gourmand, and I’m particularly interested in the of the cosy aura of the fragrance .
    Thanks a bunch

  • Admirations for people like Nicoleta Tomsa who have high standards for all kinds of perfumes and especially for gourmands. She’s not just looking for nice smelling , but also for for creative and sophisticated fragrances.
《 This is what pastel goth dreams are made of – milky, fruity, opalescent, a little bit pale, a little bit pouty – and emotionally extra dramatic in the best way possible.》
Reading the essay made me think of how solacing, yet emotionally extra dramatic of a gourmand Pastel Rumours must be if Nicoleta is enjoying it so much. Keeping in mind her zealous examination of Pastel Rumours i know Chris Maurice did a splendid work once again . Vivid atmosphere of peaches and milk , caramel and ginger stepping on foundation of depth and round edges , Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours is elaborate fragrance i’d really like to win.
    Thank you kindly, from EU

  • I absolutely love the article, once again Cafleurebon information made me wonder, and think for a while

Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours is bright and milky, dreamy and pastel, mouthwatering and delicate, creamy and cute – all at once.
    – Nicoleta Tomsa
Since I enjoyed everything I read I’m not sure where should even start with. Should I start with Nicoleta’s affection for art and beauty , her passion for creative fragrances , or the unique peach and milk haze with the dark coffee, rice and smoky caramel , or maybe the importance of the shaved ginger and the delicate nature of the fragrance ? All are equally as important for the forming of Pastel Rumours identity .
Thanks to Nicoleta I know the Pastel Rumours is just great , showing up the true elegance of niche perfumery .

Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours is trend setting fragrance with a lot of contrasts, from pinup woman with colorful tattoos with a milkshake, to delicious caramel and succulent peaches.
I believe Sarah Baker and Chris Maurice share affection for art , craftsmanship one of the reasons Pastel Rumours worked like a charm for Nicoleta. Her work with the fragrance is like invading the senses poetic invitation.
A milkshake , pinup woman on a Vespa, delicious caramel and peachy haze , piece of art milky take on peach

There’s a saying that good ideas start with brainstorming, I have a feeling for all those years Chris Maurice had hundreds of such brainstorming moments, and thousands trials and errors in between . I wonder who came up with the idea of mixing peach , fruit loops, milk , ginger and custard cream? Him , Sarah Baker or they both had interesting ideas that Chris Maurice brought to life.
My takeaway about Nicoleta Tomsa article is the overall sense of both heritage and novelty approach blended together to perfection. It appears to me that Chris infused into Pastel Rumours , Peach’s Revenge and Rococo Pie Sarah Baker love for the different aspects of the peach.
As a result of Chris Maurice work I’d like to know how all Pastel Rumours, Peach’s Revenge and Rococo Pie smell
In light of Nicoleta Tomsa reviews I have no doubt all three are stunning.
    Many thanks , EU

  • Terrific review! I’m really curious about how Maurice managed to give all the lactonic and fruity notes in Pastel Rumours a dreamy delicacy. The use of spices is also notable; Nicoleta makes that ginger note sound surprisingly overdosed. These three peach fragrances sound like a lot of fun.

    I’m in the USA.

  • Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours is bright and milky, dreamy and pastel, mouthwatering and delicate, creamy and cute – all at once. If you loved Peach’s Revenge, this is the mellow, milky spinoff with softer lighting and rounder edges. And if you haven’t tried either of them yet… seriously, what are you doing???

So that’s how a connoisseur sounds when she is greatly impressed , Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours had such an impact on Nicoleta she almost went to a milky peachy dreamland with Vespa engine playing its part of the whole picture
It has been a pleasure learning about Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours being made by the talented master perfumer like ChrisMaurice, he did wonders with multiple brands during the years, and once again with fragrances he made for Sarah Baker.
I’m a fan of beautiful things, opulent aura, passionate fragrances , creativity , juicy peaches and milk, and I’ll be happy to win Pastel Rumours .

  • Howdy everyone !
I’ve the way Nicoleta Tomsa invites us to embody the calm and transformative energy of a ride on a classical Vespa while our tummies are full with fruity loops, milk and a couple of ripe peaches.
The dreamy brightness of Pastel Rumours you don’t see everyday, considering the levels of sophistication, cozy characteristics i tend to believe , with Nicoleta’s help that Chris Maurice fragrance no doubt transcends the ordinary lactonic fruity experiences.
Sarah Baker and Chris Maurice once again were able to put different traits, and top quality ingredients in one unique basket , i’m intrigued. They did really well with my Loudo mixing of tasty cherries , white chocolate and sexy oud affects .
    Thanks , UK

  • Chris Maurice I discovered many years ago thanks to all the beautiful fragrances he made , and based on what I learned about Pastel Rumours I’m intrigued once again.
“The camera pans over a marble breakfast table: a half-eaten fuzzy peach, a ceramic bowl of fruit loops stained pink by the milky mess, and a pink lipstick-smudged straw resting in a tall glass of melted pink milkshake”
Nicoleta really paints a picture of this intricate fragrance . What really grabbed me in her review was Pastel Rumours extensive journey. Chris Maurice was able to achieve the perfect balance between sweet and playful on one part, and comfort and frivolous on another.
Depending on Nicoleta experience with the fragrance I’m convinced Pastel Rumours is a very special gourmand with lots of depth, and decadent character.

From the very first moment, Pastel Rumours from Sarah Baker draws you in with foamy goodness of the milk , succulent peaches , the custard cream and caramel are adding warmth to the heart of the fragrance . I imagined living and breathing the whole dreamy, fruity and milky landscape , Pastel Rumours almost sounds like like the beginning of adventurous trip .  But there’s more beneath the surface , as it develops, rich layers of ginger unfolds offering both comfort and spicy depth .
Created by perfumer Chris Maurice Pastel Rumours is a fragrance with depth. To me It captures the intimacy of family vacation moments

The senior editor Nicoleta Tomsa theme in every sense of the way confirmed my beliefs that I need both love , ripe peaches,  passion , comfort  , sophisticated fragrances and to buy a motorcycle
To me quality niche perfumery is a must, but I like to know the background of the brand and particular fragrances, that’s where Michelyn Camen,Editor-in-Chief  grabbed me with the links to the older themes with reviews of Peach’s Revenge, Tartan Cask, Flame and Fortune, Gold Spot, Rules and Attraction, I read them all one by one.
Where Nicoleta always shines is her  passionate and artistic reviews, and movies and musical knowledge .
They say “Never undermine the ability of peaches to make you smile” , I’d take delight in testing that theory with eating a couple ripe once right now. Later on I’ll look for Peach’s Revenge, Rococo Pie and Pastel Rumours samples since I’m on board with all of them. Pastel Rumours in particular is a fragrance that speaks in a language of the person who likes to take his time and to enjoy life.
    Warm hugs

  • Thanks to Nicoleta Tomsa review i started thinking about vacation on a tropical island, getting up early in the morning , eating a big bowl of fruit loops with warm milk and peach slices in it . Then jumping on a colorful Vespa and exploring the island
I’m now curious about Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours and the way it evolves. The contrast between the shaved ginger and all the joyous gourmand elements , day and night, the profound sense of delicious freedom grabbed my attention.
I love the idea of focusing not sorely on Pastel Rumours ,but sharing some light on Peach’s Revenge and Rococo Pie too.
I do have favorite Sarah Baker fragrance as well , it’s Gold Spot.
    Thank you, and fingers crossed

I live in California, USA, and I need Pastel Rumours in my life—immediately. Nicoleta’s description left me reeling: from fuzzy peaches and pink milk to custard spills and a half-smirk femme fatale hopping on a Vespa? Sold. The idea of a scent capturing that dreamy pastel chaos with a splash of Fruit Loops and ghostly glamour makes me swoon. I’m a sucker for a creamy, nostalgic gourmand that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and this sounds like edible poetry dipped in pink neon. The Siouxsie soundtrack moment? Perfume cinema. I can already smell the drama.

Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours is a marvelous fragrance, i was so not expecting such level of complexity, mouthwatering gourmand with sensual peaches and milk . I love peaches , to eat them,  to smell then , peachy perfums just as much and I’m more than happy to know that Sarah Baker and Chris Maurice made not one but three distinct peach based fragrances
Pastel Rumours fruity milky opulence mixed with pleasure-seeking seduction on top of ginger and fruit loops? I’m captivated by Nicoleta Tomsa thoughts on the fragrance.
I’ve always been into splendid gourmands and now the extra fruit loops and ginger added to the milk and peaches ideas turned into reality by Sarah Baker and Chris Maurice are stuck in my mind. I understood the assignment , i own a bottle of Tartan Cask , but I need to sample the whole range of available fragrances.

The looks of the bottle, the cap , the scent profile and the comment “A spoon is abandoned, mid-sin, sunken into what was once a perfect swirl of custard cream and caramel, now melting, slowly dripping over the edge of the bowl.” sold it for me.

  • Right, Brite, and everything in sight. This is a keeper. Peach is always welcome especially if it’s a lush natural scent and not to synthetic or overly done. The fruit loops accord makes me think of like a citric berry scent as well as unique but familiar like orange blossom when used in the mid of a composition. The ginger gives us a crisp snap but the milk, caramel, custard, vanilla, and iris sounds alluring to say the least. It’s a beautiful note breakdown and I feel this is something new and isn’t simple or too complex. Wearing it would be a pleasure but owning it would be a preference. From Jacksonville, NC.

  • Nice review Nicoleta!I can’t imagine a fruit that represents summer more to me than the peach. Perhaps the apricot comes close, but with its shorter season, it’s also more evanescent. I can relate to the image of ordering a peach smoothie at a café, hopping on your Vespa, accelerating, and the warm, humid, salty air hitting you in the face. Sarah Baker and Sr. Maurice capitalize on their peach success with Peach Trilogy. If Peach’s Revenge was one of last year’s hits, peach balanced by amaretto and warm spices, now they’re giving us a dreamy, fruity, milky version. Or, as Nicoleta says, a milky spinoff with softer lighting and rounder edges. I live in Spain, EU.

“The Vespa roars to life. A seagull screams. The camera zooms in to the table, where the note reads, just two words: Xoxo, peaches!”
I love the sea , to hear seagull screams, sweet fleshy peaches, milkshakes, caramel , fragrances and my 2005 Vespa PX 150 .
Crafting always brings joy to the artist no questions asked. We share a lot of common objectives and principles, Sarah Baker and I.
Of course other the current article i also enjoyed Nicoleta Tomsa previous experiences with Peach’s Revenge and Tartan Cask, and Lauryn Beer with Flame and Fortune, Gold Spot, Loudo and Rules of Attraction. Of course i read them all, thank you Michelyn for the recommendations .
Pastel Rumours is a fun and comforting gourmand , directly influenced by the the peach milkshakes i love . Not just the great smelling aroma with added caramel and ginger , there’s also different temptations , it’s almost like Pastel Rumours is part of a fantasy of a movie.

I’m sure that Sarah Baker did it again. Always so wonderful fragrance’s. I’m excited to try this new one. Milky and fruity it’s the perfect combo. So glad to be part of ÇaFleureBon family always giving the best reviews. From PR, USA

“Emotionally extra dramatic” is the best way of describing this fragrance. It is joyful, fun and extra. I had the privilege of smelling at Sarah Baker’s atelier and really loved it. The three peach fragrances are so well done and I’m not surprised they have found a loving audience. Great review by Nicoleta who’s highlighting Chris Maurice’s great skill in making realistic fruity fragrances whilst thinking outside the box. Would love to smell this again. Marit the Netherlands

  • Who doesn’t like cardamon, custard and orris? Sounds yummy!! I’ll say that Cool Water turned into fruit loops on me back in the 90s. lol but I think this will be different,

What else to ask? Made by Chris Maurice milkshake gourmand cocktail with custard cream and peaches clashing in a velvety powdery cloud, jumping on the back of the Vespa would be a brilliant idea .
I absolutely love the milkshake quality of the fragrance , and i find interesting the whole Peach trilogy including also Peach’s Revenge and Rococo Pie. I like the classical style of the bottle , the bronze top and I’m excited for Sarah Baker in general.
Thanks for the opportunity to win such a novelty fragrance like Pastel Rumours , and also thanks to Nicoleta Tomsa for the review.

Not only Nicoleta Tomsa but Cafleurebon appreciation for Sarah Baker fragrances and Chris Maurice talent are apparent from his article , and that doesn’t come as a surprise. Peach’s Revenge, Pastel Rumours and Rococo Pie are all rooted in classic perfumery but taking on a modern twist and appearing so impressive .
Pastel Rumours being creamy and emotional with a pastel like effects , but also kind of melancholic – truly sounds like the fragrance I’d like to win. I love the idea of peach milkshake with cardamom, musk and ginger , and the hums of a Vespa in the background , sounds delightful. Thank you from the EU

  • I’m keen on Cafleurebon not sorely because of the multiple sophisticated fragrances and reviews I can find here , that’s the bonus but not the main reason. To me what actually matters to me is the individuality of every single author including Nicoleta Tomsa of course.
Nicoleta is keen on Pastel Rumours not sorely because of the smell, but because of the ingredients and the calming characteristics. Posh milky gourmand with fruity essence, skilfully crafted ingredients , and as a whole evocative blend I’m drawn to. The images she also painted so well is so evocative , the breakfast table , the woman with the colorful pinup tattoos and the Vespa, I’m impressed.
Not that I’m a biker , ,but I absolutely NEED to know how a 1991’s early morning Italy in 1991 smells with a milkshake and ginger
Out of all Sarah Baker fragrances I’ve only smelled the spectacular Jungle Jezebel and I’d love to win Pastel Rumours
    Cheers from UK

The idea of adding fruit loops and ginger accord to lactonic gourmand composition like Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours adds another layer of enjoyment to the whole ballgame.
I can emphasize to Nicoleta Tomsa words of high respect towards both Sarah Baker and ChrisMaurice, i can tell she enjoys quite a few of their co-creations.
Pastel Rumours was crafted from a passionate belief in creativity and originality. The Sarah Baker fragrance is based on a milkshake hints with delicious caramel and custard sweetness, sweet peaches , mouthwatering and delicate fragrance to use Nicoleta Tomsa words.
Thank you Nicoleta, Sarah Baker Parfums and also thank you for the generosity

  • I went to the previous 6 Sarah Baker essays once again Like Michelyn Camen suggested to get me up to speed with Sara’s journey and I’m glad she has both her heart in her work, and her work in her heart, that’s why she’s so successful. Dreaming big is a must for every self driven person, famous perfumer Chris Maurice, brand owner like Sarah Baker or a barber like me . The based on creativity approach i like a lot too.
Coastal Italy in the early 90s feel mixed with a few peaches , large milkshake fruit loops, and spices , perfumery traditions meeting new horizons, caramel and fluffy custard cream facets are giving Pastel Rumours an unique contemporary spin . According to Nicoleta article the fragrance has that cozy aura and a beautiful presence.
    Thanks to all involved

Nicoleta Tomsa is a contributors with specific taste for perfumes , and I do enjoy reading her articles very much.
The brand of Sarah Baker i don’t know yet , the talanted Chris Maurice i do because of the high amount of successful fragrances he created for the brand of Xerjoff.
Quite often i think of how Olya Bar once said perfumes can trigger past memories and forge future ones, Pastel Rumours instantly triggered Nicoleta’s good times memories, listening Siouxsie and The Banshees , riding a motorcycle, silk colorful headscarf , sucking on the straw of peach milkshake , and she’d keep forging a lot of new ones with its dreamy and pastel aroma.
Plums , ginger and caramel are favorites of mine, let alone how Nicoleta said Pastel Rumours has a rounder edges running through it , exquisite pleasure I’d love to win.
Thank you very much Sarah Baker and Chris Maurice, and special thanks to Nicoleta Tomsa for the hard work

Sinse I love fruity and milky fragrances and also the brand of Sarah Baker ,  I’m glad I stumbled across your great “Chris Maurice 2024 Plus Got Peach Giveaway” theme , and the awesome Peach trilogy.
It’s striking that Peach’s Revenge, Pastel Rumours and Rococo Pie are all peach based but at the same time could go into such a different directions , from juicy tropical Peach’s Revenge with silky nectarines, to experimental time travel to 1991 milkshakes with fruit loops and caramel, to rich opulent and seductive Rococo Pie.
Other than the warm Coastal Italy connection with Pastel Rumours what i enjoyed the most in Nicoleta Tomsa article is the perfumer who made all 3 Chris Maurice, the balanced peachy information, and the amazing reviews . Chris Maurice  and Sarah Baker picked up one already great smelling fruit like the ripe peach and built upon it , and with the Nicoleta contribution I believe I found 3 posh scents.
Loudo I own ,  my favorite Sarah Baker fragrance

Thank you for this detailed reviews  of Sarah Baker Peach’s Revenge, Pastel Rumours and Rococo Pie ! I appreciate how Nicoleta Tomsa showcased the way Chris Maurice brought depth and intensity to this fragrance trilogy , making it a graceful and a tad emotional counterpart to all the simplistic and repetitive peach fragrances on the market.
The blend of juicy peach , caramel , and big milkshake sounds absolutely captivating—especially the interplay of fruity-sweet, milky  and spicy . I’d love to experience this deeper peach milkshake interpretation myself. European Union

Nicoleta Tomsa words are truly evocative, capturing the essence of memories that many of us can relate to . I’m talking about those simple yet profound moments of passion and romance that linger around longer than any fragrance.
Her framing of Sarah Baker Pastel Rumours as an olfactory portrait of the early 90’s mornings in Coastal Italy and a woman with tattoos, neon pink lipstick who’s eating ripe peaches, drinking milkshake with fruit loops and riding a Vespa captured my imagination . Nicoleta affection for Pastel Rumours i imagine is rooted in specific hedonistic and decadent memories she had with the help of the fragrance.
All aspects of the article beautifully aligns with the my current emotional spectrum , and fruity and milky scent profile.
Pastel Rumours is an unique and artistic perfume I’d be thrilled to win . EU
    Bless you

Such a devotion , cherished memories between Sarah Baker and Cafleurebon and strength of characters , I’m loving it here
I liked the way Nicoleta Tomsa underlines that the fragrances in the Peach trilogy are not based on the delicious peaches, but do not smell the same by any means.  Sarah Baker offers  hedonism and  more primal memories with Rococo Pie, fizzy and tangy ones with Peach’s Revenge and Pastel Rumours relies on fruit loops , ginger,  caramel , milk in high doses and considering the desirable features I’d say the fragrance has a character of its own.
Respect for people like you , EU

  • NeverOrdinaryPerfumery says:

Such a nice surveying Nicoleta Tomsa did on Sarah Baker Peach Trilogy offerings ,  I’m keen on her meticulousness .
Jumping in between different depictions like fuzzy and creamy with  Peach’s Revenge , flavorful and mouthwatering with Pastel Rumours , and amatory and decadent with Rococo Pie , all  was a treat i was not expecting . I’m pleased since I have a thing for milky and fruity fragrances done in an unconventional manner.
Count me in . From the EU

What sparked my interest was “dreamy, fruity, milky”. It sounds soft and sweet and I love that! Fruit loops as a note sounds so good and I always love peach, vanilla, caramel with musk. It sounds really exciting and cute! I am located in the US

  • I like the idea of a fruit loops fragrance. And who doesn’t love peaches? Pastel Roumors sounds delicious. Thank you for another fantastic review and draw. MI USA

It’s amazing how Sarah Baker and the perfumer Chris Maurice worked towards turning all their peach dreams into reality .
Nicoleta Tomsa took her time to talk about the ingredients , the whole creative process , the chemical and poetic anatomy and not just how the 3 fragrance smells.
I’ve experienced a lot of peach and lactonic gourmands, but nothing like Pastel Rumours with the influence of caramel , fruit loops, some Italian realities and sensuous references. Thanks to Nicoleta, and to Sarah for generously providing Pastel Rumours to one lucky reader.EU

Cafleurebon and Nicoleta Tomsa introduction to Sarah Baker peach collection of perfumes was truly captivating. Nicoleta passion for the art of perfumery shines through as usual , making me even more eager to experience the brand hence I never had the pleasure to do so.
Pastel Rumours is fragrance that introduces a measured warmth with the creamy milky texture, while the sweet peach and ginger remain ever-present , such an inviting message. I’m thinking about Italy in the 90s , riding a Vespa in the summer , peach milkshake , Chris Maurice career and the calming effects ot the Pastel Rumours right now . From the EU
    Lovely opportunity

  • XploreFragrances says:

Thank you for introducing me to “Pastel Rumours” , “Peach’s Revenge” and “Rococo Pie” , Sarah Baker fragrances are in my to-try-list now . The fact that the senior editor Nicoleta Tomsa said “If you haven’t tried either of them yet…. seriously what are you doing???” sounds promising.
Very much 3 decadent peach fragrances each with its own distinct character, “Pastel Rumours” is leaning milky with ginger, “Peach’s Revenge” tangy , creamy and edible and “Rococo Pie” hedonistic with jasmine and sandalwood.
The Peach trilogy offers variety of encounters for people who like to communicate with passion.EU

    Salutations
It’s not just impressions only I guess, because like Nicoleta Tomsa I too believe most people associate Chris Maurice with fruity fragrances like Xerjoff Erba Pura and Kajal Dahab , no wonder Peach trilogy is so popular now.
It’s nice knowing that Chris Maurice being the perfumer behind all Peach’s Revenge, Pastel Rumours and Rococo Pie , and of course I very much enjoyed Nicoleta reviews of the three fragrances.
What grabbed me the most today in no particular order a) There are three equally as good peach fragrances I need to explore b) Chris Maurice is the perfumer c) The Peach trilogy creates positive atmosphere through joyful and sophisticated fragrances e) how jubilant , happy and sexy at the same time Pastel Rumours is f) Nicoleta’s 90’s childhood memories and desires g) the posh and creamy scent of the fragrance with custard cream, peach , bowl of milk and the spicy warmth of the ginger
    It’s been a pleasure

  • Pastel Rumours sounds like a milky sweet gourmand but with a twist on the ingredients for a little extra drama. Sounds intriguing. Yet to try any Sarah Baker, and would like to try this (and Peach’s Revenge). CA, USA

Hmm why I’m not aware of Sarah Baker , Peach’s Revenge ,Pastel Rumours and Rococo are all wonderful.
I have a penchant for high grade fruity fragrances , from milk and caramel coated like Pastel Rumours , to fresher and zesty like Peach’s Revenge, to sexy peach pie and walnut cream like Rococo Pie, i love them all.
Nicoleta Tomsa vivid examination of Pastel Rumours fascinated me , fragrance is fun and a bit adventurous .The variety of different delicious elements like custard cream, caramel and fruit loops, and the milky features blended by master perfumer Chris Maurice I’m a fan of . Pastel Rumours is so well suited for a Coastal Italy trip , even in 2025 . I’m so intrigued
    Thank you very much UK

I love Nicoleta Tomsa review and the way Peach’s Revenge, Pastel Rumours and Rococo Pie are all is based around authenticity and different takes on the fruit . I guess Nicoleta do have a good point when she said “Sarah’s milkshake brings all boys to the yard-again” 🙂
I love what Nicoleta did here , and the nod to the famous song by Kelis . She certainly seems to have a huge love for the Sarah Baker and Chris Maurice work , the fruity , milkshake and ginger nature of Pastel Rumours is right up my alley . Seems like it would be an attractive scent for summer evenings and going out when I’d like to grab a milkshake, take a sip and even hop on a Vespa
I would love to win this amazing peach release. I am from the EU

  • A soft, dreamy morning wrapped in sunlight, peach juice, and pink milkshake memories—this perfume feels like that moment. Sweet, a little chaotic, utterly feminine. Like neon lipstick on a milk-stained straw and a Vespa waiting just outside. I adore it—it’s playful, nostalgic, and unapologetically bold. Xoxo, peaches!
