Neil Morris Fragrances is releasing its second perfume in the Radiance Trilogy. This series was born of a personal and profound event for independent artisan perfumer Neil Morris. It was a moment in time that stood still, but with vivid memories of complete surrender, love, peace, and acceptance. It is an honor to experience these fragrant creations from his life-altering experience.

“The indescribable Peace-Between-Worlds is like being hugged by every Mother on Earth – at the same time!” – Neil Morris

Knowing that Suspended in Glass was born from Mr. Morris’s experience changed how I observed it as I wore it-his olfactive translation of what happens when everything is distilled to what matters most. I explored Neil Morris Fragrances Suspended in Glass on a day I needed something special to hold a fragile moment, it did more than keep that moment for me, it sanctified it. I was handed back something important that I had long forgotten. The opening arrives bright and fresh, with an ozonic calm like the air after rain, when everything feels fresh and new. A hint of floral fantasy, rich with an aldehydic character, edges into the top notes, precise and green, not sweet but refining. It was as if my mind, which had earlier been foggy, had been wiped clean, and the radiance had my permission to come through.

Neil Morris Fragrances Suspended in Glass felt like the middle of an event where everything slows and becomes more precise. Rising together, the lotus blossom and purple hyacinth are aquatic and luminous, like flowers seen through a pool of diffused light. They are delicate, but they carry weight because they are memories of a feeling, tender in a way that brings a catch to my throat. White jasmine weaves through with care, warm, and creamy without becoming too sweet. I get another floral note that leans woody, an unexpected anchor that keeps the bouquet from drifting into softness. It adds texture and a sense of touch, as if the flowers have been pressed and preserved.

As Suspended in Glass settles, it moves toward a radiant, grounded base. An amber accord comes in with a golden warmth, rich but never growing heavy, like sunlight gathered under glass. Musk brings balance, it feels like skin. At times, I think the scent is not on me but of me, an echo of my own breath. The clarity and cool facets from the opening continue to whisper through, so the composition never tips into overpowering. Instead, it becomes integrated, a portrait of remembrance that is both clear and generous.

Wearing Suspended in Glass feels like stepping into a story in which the star has been irrevocably altered, and it reads like the reflective center of that arc. If the first chapter announces arrival and the third will offer release or reckoning, this one is the suspended moment in between, where time thins and everything real and possible mingles. It is a reminder that profound encounters can fracture us and also reassemble us into something clearer. It invites attention and rewards those who are willing to feel. I noticed the scent most in the quiet moments of my day. Folding laundry and standing at the window as the evening light faded, the perfume carved out a little sanctuary around me, a place where the ordinary is held with reverence.

Suspended in Glass is for those who want to remember who they are, where they have been, and want to be cradled by a scent that respects silence and a luminous feeling. It comforts rather than consoles, it clarifies rather than simplifies. If you are curious about how altering moments of life can be translated into perfume, this is an eloquent example. The notes are clear and intentional, each one chosen to make a particular experience wearable. It invited me to slow down, to notice the small, miraculous moments that stitch a life together. I felt held without expectation, softer as I carried a fierce thread of love for whatever comes next. That is what I find inspiring about it. It offers a way to make the aftermath of an intense event something tender and beautiful, and for a time, entirely preserved.

Notes: citrus floral accord, aquatic accord, aldehydic accord, lotus blossom, purple hyacinth, jasmine accord, woody floral accord, amber accord, white musk accord.

  • What sparks my interest most about Suspended in Glass is the way Sandi describes it as a “sanctuary” rather than just a fragrance—a scent that holds silence, slows time, and feels like an echo of one’s own breath. The imagery of lotus and hyacinth suspended in diffused light, grounded by amber and skin-like musk, sounds profoundly moving and intimate. I’m especially drawn to perfumes that translate life-altering moments into something wearable and reflective, and this sounds like a beautiful expression of that in-between space where clarity and tenderness coexist. I live in the USA and would love to experience this scent.

  • What a brief! After reading the experience that Mr. Morris is trying to capture, I must try this one! I am in the USA.

  • I can feel the nature of the fragrance from this review. A sense of peace radiates from it. I love Neil Morris Fragrances for their personal experiences.

  • Beautiful description! It is a fragrance that creates a sanctuary around you in your everyday moments, clarifying the beauty of life. Would love to try this Neil Morris Fragrances creation. Sandi’s writeup is intriguing!

What sparks my interest is how this fragrance is rooted in a real, life altering moment and translated into scent. I am drawn to its promise of stillness, memory, and emotional clarity, a perfume that honors quiet transformation rather than spectacle. And I’m dying to see if I can pick up on the purple hyacinth note. lol

I think the notes perfectly described the fragrance itself, which is sort of this transparent, see through scent. By that I don’t mind it’s weak but rather possesses an airy and ethereal feel to it. It’s this feeling of being suspended in air but looking at yourself through a glass. As weird as that sounds, it capture a specific moment in time (or your life) that makes it hard to forget. It’s a picture perfect scent for those who reminisce. I’m located in the USA.

A fragrance that “clarifies rather than simplifies” is truly special. When it melds its story and the wearer’s story together is a special moment. Sandi truly created a longing to share the journey.

    Hi there,

Suspended in Glass sounds like a true gamechanger, emotionally!!! I enjoyed Sandi’s writing about this one. Lotus blossom always captures my nose; jasmine is simply one of the best floral notes on my skin, most times. The way in which this scent is described makes me believe in it as a strong choice for a bride, a groom, or a new parent. And I have come to see that once I smell this on someone, I am likely to always associate it with that person, particularly if they are a loved one. This is the magic of modern scent. Hats off to Neil Morris. Thank you! I am in NYC/USA.

  • Neil Morris’Radiance fragrance trilogy is a fascinating exercise in dealing with the unfolding events of a personal and profound experience. Suspended in Glass seems to be point where clarity and acceptance becomes key. The florals seem delicate and luminous and the base of amber and musk is grounding. I’m in the USA

  • The overall design is amazing with the bell jar cover. I really love that. And I became a big fan of lotus fragrances since TRNP made her various pink lotus, white lotus and blue lotus releases – all stunning. It opened my world to the dewy depth of lotuses. The only perfume I have by Neil Morris is Garden of the Heart of Heaven, a collaboration. So I’d love to try this. I am located in the U.S.

  • Aquatic florals are always a study in balance, introducing other elements without overpowering the delicate petals, and Suspended in Glass does so beautifully. The composition benefits from being fresh, luminous, and green, warm while still remaining transparent. Lovely.

The way Sandi describes the perfume as a suspended sanctuary — a moment preserved under glass — deeply pulls me in. I’m fascinated by fragrances that hold emotional space, and the image of aquatic florals glowing through aldehydic light sounds like wearing a memory that breathes with you. Also neil morris is such an awesome guy. I love the idea of a scent that doesn’t just decorate the day but gently alters it, making ordinary moments feel reverent and intentional. • what a beautifully written review & what a beautiful sounding fragrance! ‘like being hugged by every mother on the planet….’ made me instantly emotional reading the line- motherly nurturing & love is something that every individual on this planet needs & longs for, so, for a fragrance to be able to evoke this type of feeling is something incredibly special. i know that i can say that it would definitely be a fragrance that i would purchase for my girl’s to wear when they were apart from me, so that they could always feel the love of a mama! :). i mean, how every note was specially chosen to make people feel nostalgic, to evoke memories… another simply special feeling. this fragrance is how a fragrance should be- for remembrance, nostalgia, emotion, comfort… a fragrance should make you FEEL & it sounds as if though this one does exactly that. & then, i love the thought of wearing this fragrance when you need to be reminded of yourself & who you are- i know that life can be so hard… the past few years have been some of the hardest for myself. well, it’s been longer than that, but, the point is that to be in the midst of chaos & pain, or, grief… anything that isn’t pleasant & to have a fragrance that you can go out on & then, be able to stop & take a breathe & have it calm & ground you.. surround you in a sort of comfort that mimics love & reminds you of who you are… that is another incredibly amazing thing that a fragrance is able to do. honestly, this just sounds transcendent & the thought & love that was put into the fragrance sounds like it’s really something that can be felt by those who wear it & again, to be able to extend that to the people is really something beautiful. thank you, as always, for the review, giveaway, & fragrance. i am in the united states.

Oh, I am very curious about how altering moments of life can be translated into perfume. I am alway fascinated by the source of inspiration that a perfumer uses to construct a fragrance, by which notes a perfumer will use to set the experience or memory or place to olfactory permanence. I am intrigued by the use of lotus blossom and purple hyacinth to suggest a delicate and luminous feeling. Amber brings richness and warmth and music brings a skin-like balance. I am wondering which moment Neil Morris wanted to spend in glass, in time. Maybe any moment deserves to be suspended in time–moments indeed are what make up the miracle of life.

  • What lovely writing! Thank your for the wonderful review.
Your words evoke such a feeling of calm and serenity.
The description of ‘the lotus blossom and purple hyacinth are aquatic and luminous, like flowers seen through a pool of diffused light’ sounds both light and magical.
I would love to experience this fragrance, which was made under the umbrella of Radiance.
Thank you for the giveaway. I am in USA.

Thanks for the beautiful and meditative review! Neil Morris Fragrances Suspended in Glass feels like a tranquil moment between heartbeats — almost like watching sunlight ripple through a forest pool at dawn. The luminous top notes gently unfold into a delicate heart of soft florals and airy musk that seems to hover just above the skin, while the warm, creamy base gives it grounded serenity rather than heaviness. I especially loved how the composition creates a sense of stillness and clarity — it makes me think of those quiet Silver Age comic book panels where time feels beautifully suspended. I’d love to try Suspended in Glass!

  • Mr. Morris designs amazing stories. I have long followed his path with interest and appreciation. He has a way of using aldehydes and florals which is never old fashioned, always modern and uplifting. Sandi’s review makes me want to try this contemplative scent, to also slow down and also remember and plan, in those suspended moments we never seem to take full advantage of. Great review!

  • This sounds like mystique and beauty all in one bottle. The airy, transparent opening goes into the floral mid wonderfully. Then the transition to the ambery and musk base has all the elements one could want in one bottle. Would love to behold this genie in a bottle, from USA.
