  • I can’t wait to smell this – I have been on a search for lemon with a hint of oak moss for ages. And I need more cedar in my collection.

I hope to get my nose on this soon! Thanks to Redolessence for bringing this to my attention.

Steven is my fragrance guru . I would love to own anything that he suggested. I’m also a big fan of Mancera .Stay blessed

  • This sounds like an interesting combination of notes I would really enjoy trying!!! I Love Montale fragrances!! Steven’s reviews make as if I can smell the fragrances through the screen!!!hahahaha!!!

  • I always enjoy how Steven eloquently describes the scent breakdown. I can really grasp the fragrance without even having it yet. I can foresee this being my signature scent.

  • This sounds like a lovely transitional fragrance with the Jasmine and citrus. With the scent complexity with the added bergamot will ground the fragrance to make this definitely a year around profile. The scent doesn’t seem to lean overly mature in which several age ranges will enjoy.

  • A wonderful review by Steven! What I loved most about his breakdown was his candid take on how the scent evolves and balances its classic charm with modern appeal. His observation about the oakmoss driving a subtle, timeless atmosphere like a Brontë novel was brilliant, giving a clear picture of its grounding depth beyond a typical light opening. It was also incredibly helpful when he honestly called out which elements actually stand out on skin versus the marketing claims, proving that a truly versatile, uplifting scent can easily transcend the seasons even as the weather cools down in autumn and winter.

I reside in Arizona, United States.

  • When I saw the name I thought this may be a similar scent to Cedrat Boise by Montale which is their sister house, but it’s not. The opening is bright and citrusy with bergamot, ginger and lemon and Steven mentioned the jasmine playing a prominent role in this one. Where things start to turn is in the base where we get some heavy notes like ambergris, Cuban tobacco and the oakmoss. Michelyn also mentioned this scent fits like a glove for any season, any time of the year. Bright enough for the summer months, and a bit of darkness to stand out during the colder wintry months. A versatile scent for everyday wear. I’m located in the USA.

This scent profile isn’t usually what I go for, but I’d like to step out of my comfort zone!

  • I liked Steven’s description of the vintage, Jane Austen association of this perfume—from the jasmine oakmoss combination.

  • Love Cedrat Boise too! This sounds really interesting with the combination of Jasmine, citrus, oakmoss and I dont mind oud being hidden lol. Arkansas, USA

  • I really enjoyed how Steven vividly brought Cedrat Lova to life as more than just a fresh scent. His description of its bright, uplifting character balanced with an elegant neo-vintage feel made it sound both timeless and modern. I especially loved the literary comparison to a Jane Austen or Brontë novel, and his explanation of how it remains versatile enough to wear comfortably in every season made this such an inviting review.

I love the way Steven broke down Montale’s Cedrat Lova. Citrus and Jasmine sound like a lovely combination. The bright and sparkling nature of this fragrance really piques my interest. You can never go wrong with a clean fragrance. I am also intrigued by the vintage character Steven says he gets from the woody notes. I am happy to hear that the Oud is more subtle, keeping the fragrance fresh. I would love to own my very first Montale fragrance to start my journey into the house.

  • Steven’s video breakdown of Cedrat Lova captures that incredible energy of Pierre Montale’s work, while the written review highlights how the vibrant citrus and spicy ginger effortlessly melt into a smooth, creamy base of Mysore sandalwood, tonka bean, and subtle Cambodian oud. I love how the combination of both pieces illustrates a fragrance that feels both refreshing and deeply magnetic on skin. I’m in Texas USA

  • Anything that makes you feel like you are being warmed by the Mediterranean Sun sounds great. In regards to the video by Steven, I really appreciate his love for Montale shines. The description provided about being energetic with oud is right up my alley. Toss in some Jasmine…yes please.

  • I’ve been watching him on YouTube for a few weeks now. He always explains the scent well, and I can get a good feel for if the fragrance will work for me.

  • ThomasWGonzalez says:

I love Montale, I only own one Montale (chocolate greedy), but I’d love to own one of their freshies. I live in an extremely hot area so freshies are the key to life for me lol.

  • Steve finds Montale’s Cedrat Lova to have a complex DNA; it is bright and fresh from various, long lasting citrus notes while its floral notes of jasmine bring a full-bodied, opulence that combined with sandalwood, woody notes of oud and especially oakmoss that imparts an inimitable quality that is velvety and dark, grounding the composition, adding depth and warmth creating a stunning profile that is clean, airy, sensual, floral and a perfect trans-seasonal, unisex scent.

    Hi there,

I got a very warm vibe from the descriptions of this beautiful scent, and in my mind I’ve been comparing it to Laudamiel’s Smile&Shine, with maybe some Guerlain’s La Cologne Du Parfumeur thrown in…In addition I am finally also learning that cedrat is a citrus fruit, not a type of wood from a tree! Thank you for these thoughtful reviews.

  • Steven mentioned how the citrus is loud and I love citrus fragrances. I also love the way he described how it has a vintage appeal. Sounds like something I will love.

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

I know that Montale fragrances can be challanging for many people. However, I like how Steven mentioned the sparking citrus and how this fragrance will be for everybody out there. I live in Maryland USA.

  • This definitely sounds like it could be worn year round with the classic combination of citrus, jasmine and sandalwood. The cedrat gives it a Mediterranean flair and the ginger spices things up. Steve seems to find the addition of oakmoss compelling given the composition a neo-vintage feel. Love the Brontë reference. MD, USA

  • Amazing giveaway, thank you to Twisted Lilly and ÇaFleureBon. I’m a fan of Montale/Mancera and this fragrance sounds amazing, but Steven had me at Jasmine and vintage oakmoss. I’m a fan of citrus/floral and woods, but this one sounds like it has so much more to it. Thank you

  • I really enjoyed Steven’s review of Montale Cedrat Lova, especially how he broke down the citrus and woody aspects of the fragrance without making it sound overly complicated. As a man, I really like fragrances that feel fresh and confident while still having enough depth to stand out, and Cedrat Lova definitely caught my attention. Steven’s review made me want to get my nose on it and experience it for myself.

  • I really enjoyed Steven’s review! The fresh citrus notes immediately caught my attention, and I loved hearing how he described the way the fragrance develops. It sounds like such a bright, elegant scent that would be perfect for everyday wear.

  • This composition has some of my absolute favorite notes and I am very curious to see how some of them pair like the lemon and oud or tobacco and oakmoss. I can’t wait to check this out! Much love to Michelyn and Steven as always! Greetings from Michigan USA!

  • What caught my attention about Cedrat Lova is the fresh citrusy side mixed with the sweeter, more sensual notes. I like fragrances that feel fresh and easy to wear but still have enough character to stand out. Cedrat Lova sounds like one I’d really enjoy trying, especially for everyday wear. I’m in USA.

For Stevens review I liked how he said it’s very jasmine forward. I am a big fan of that accord. I also love sandlewood so this one sounds like one I would really like. I have owned fragrances with oak moss before but am not sure if i could pick that note out so I wonder how that affects this scent.

I am very interested in the jasmine in this fragrance.

I love watching Steven’s videos. His descriptions of fragrances have been a big help to me. I’m excited for this new Montale fragrance. I love a fresh citrus scent. Steven’s description of the oakmoss giving the scent a vintage feel is interesting considering how young and fresh the bottle looks. I’m not surprised by the inclusion of oud as I think it’s one of Montale’s favorite things to add to fragrance. I’m sure it’s more to help with longetivy and projection which has been something people seek from Montale given the popularity of Arabian Tonka. I’m excited to experience this new fragrance.

  • I look forward to smelling this bc I LOVE a fragrance with sandalwood, ambergris, or oakmoss. In fact, I think every scent I have ever truly loved (many chypres) has oak moss. It’s nice to see this in a new fragrance, and his comment about how not everything has to be dark, woody, smoky, spicy, and incense-y at this time of year and into winter resonated with me.

  • Jasmine in fragrances always intrigue me. I love visiting a particular park in Austin, TX during April-May because the jasmine are in bloom. The smell in the air is just beautiful. It is definitely a smell I want to relive over and over, and I hope each fragrance with jasmine takes me back there. It caught mynear when Steven mentioned there may be more than 1 jasmine in this fragrance!

  • Well woven description of an interesting take on a citrus. You made it sound elaborate yet approachable when a lo o the scents out there with thse notes come out very same.

  • Another awesome review by Stevens. The citrus, ginger, and oakmoss combination sounds very refreshing and intriguing. I love fragrances that feel bright yet have a warm, vintage touch! Commenting from Orlando, Fl. USA.

I have only ever tried the heavy-hitting oud fragrances from Montale, so I am very much interested in trying one of their airy and bright citrus offerings. I am intrigued that Cedrat Lova has an oakmoss note. I am a big fan of oakmoss. I love wearing vintage fragrances that are heavy on the note, before regulations changed. I like that Cedrat Lova could be worn during all seasons, not just in the warm months of the year.
