Mitti Parfum’s story is born of love and a longing for the scents of home for self-taught perfumer Neerav Thakkar and  Founder and Creative Director Ridhima Agarwal  (they are married). Now living in the USA but born and raised in India, where scent is everywhere, bold and layered, they were looking for fragrances that reminded them of home. Spiced chai, monsoon rains on the dry earth, jasmine, and other florals. What started as a search and suggestion became a partnership: two creative minds working together to recreate memories of their heritage and culture into beautiful, honest fragrances. Each perfume is a memory made definite and reads like a travelogue of their homeland. The compositions don’t imitate India and South Asia; they inhabit them, offering the small domestic rituals and regional consistencies of someone who grew up inside them and how they are remembered. Neerav and Ridhima created Mitti Parfum to share and preserve those memories. (Mitti means soil or earth.)

The creativity behind the logo is sacred and symbolic, and the packaging is exquisite: Batik-print boxes, and each fragrance comes with a mini folk-art card rooted and inspired by art from a different corner of the country. On the back of the art is a beautifully written introduction to the fragrance and its notes. And the bottles are crafted and chosen with the same care, simple, gorgeous glass, and the cap!  On the back of each one is etched a handwritten poem from the brand. Mitti Parfums is a love story, an archive translated into perfumes that are at once intimate and generous. Wear one, and you meet a memory, a tradition.

Mitti Parfum Rani-Pink takes you mindfully through time with a distinct intention, from the blink of childhood to the steady breath of adulthood, without ever feeling disconnected. Sour berry bright and impulsive, a sensory cue that sends your mind back. Its sweetness is the exact quality of being small and fully present, happiness that doesn’t analyze itself. That initial lift is Rani-Pink’s promise that the child inside you is acknowledged and invited forward.

Rani-Pink doesn’t abandon any of that childlike spark; it translates it, woven through with spice, and the tang of a plum-wine note from davana  adds a new facet to the initial berry note. As it dries down, it becomes an unfolding story with nuance, a shift from innocence to discovery, then to becoming. Vanilla and cedarwood bring depth, maturity, and the adult perspective, sensual and composed. The shifts register gracefully, playful where appropriate, poised when needed, which reflects how today we often carry our younger selves into mature roles without losing either.

Mitti Parfum Rani-Pink is an olfactory analogue of growing up, not erasing the past but giving it form and meaning. There’s also a narrative voice embedded in the composition, not a generic voice but a personal one. It is a memory refined by affection, honoring uncertainty, accepting that sweetness can coexist with resolve, and that maturity may deepen rather than reduce wonder. It offers a fragrant way to remember that once we were carefree, but that we have learned to choose, to discern, and to savor each moment with intention.

Notes: sour berry, clove, davana, vanilla, cedarwood, bubblegum, inner child

  • I’m completely captivated by how Mitti Parfum transforms memory into scent—especially the way Rani-Pink captures that journey from childhood brightness to adult depth. The contrast of sour berry and bubblegum with clove, davana, vanilla, and cedarwood sounds both nostalgic and beautifully complex. I love the idea of a fragrance that doesn’t just smell good, but tells a story and carries emotion through its evolution. The attention to detail—from the folk-art cards to the handwritten poem—makes it feel like something truly special and personal.

I’m especially drawn to how it honors the “inner child” while embracing maturity—that balance feels so meaningful and rare in fragrance.

Love Sandis evocation of growing up illustrated by this fragrance. I’ve had my eye on this house for a while beautiful bottles and design. I am in Texas USA

  • The brand is inspired by memory and what memory can invoke as a scent profile. With Rani Pink, Neerav and Ridhima capture the essence of carefree childhood memories. The fantasy note of Inner Child in the composition, truly piques my interest; who doesn’t want to reflect on their youth?

Clove in a fragrance immediately gets my attention, and what I like here is how Rani-Pink uses spice to bridge that playful, berry-bright opening into something deeper. That plum-like davana and soft woods make it feel like growth in motion—sweet, but grounded. It feels personal, like wearing a memory that actually evolves with you. I live in New Jersey, USA

  • The bottle is especially interesting. However, I’m curious of the interplay between sour berry, clove, and davana especially. I’m in Arkansas USA.

  • I love how this perfume plays on the inner child and growing up, and the paradox of holding space for both. The mini folk-art cards is such a fun touch. -USA.

  • The notes in Rani-Pink are genuinely intriguing and have piqued my curiosity, especially after reading the line, “Its sweetness is the exact quality of being small and fully present, happiness that doesn’t analyze itself.” I’m in the US.

I do have to say this bottle is very unique as it is the inspiration behind it.not having a crazy note breakdown, this fragrance still goes through a journey stating spicy and ending on a more sweeter tone. This is a house or perfumer I was not aware of but I’m intrigued to try it. I live discovering new fragrance houses because those are the ones pushing boundaries and trying new things. This is one I’m definitely keeping my eye on and the first time I get a chance to try I’ll cherish it. I’m located in the USA.

  • The happy simplicity this starts with appeals so much right now when the world is so complicated and scary, and I like the idea of the innocence. Even as it matures, it still sounds like a really nice place to be emotionally. A great perfume hits your emotions! I live on the West coast of the US.

Your description of Rani Pink and Mitti Parfum makes them feel almost tactile, like stepping into a world of color and memory. I love how the fragrances are tied to heritage and emotion in such an evocative way.

Since I just won a recent drawing, I’m sitting this giveaway out. I’m excited to follow everyone’s impressions!

  • This is a beautiful bottle and I’m intrigued by the contrast of notes like clove, davana and vanilla with sour berry and bubblegum. I’d love to see how those notes offset each other and I’m curious about the note “inner child”.

  • Thank you for introducing me to Mitti! I want to order their sample set-they look great. I think it’s important to have fragrance connected to memory, and I like the special touches on the bottle. US

  • I am familiar with this brand and have been lucky enough to have sampled this very fragrance already and would be delighted to own a bottle of this fragrance. I find that despite the somewhat femme branding of this scent that it is perfectly unisex. I especially love the presentation with the poem on the bottle. I’m in Ohio

  • I’ve been so curious about this house. I love that one of the notes is sour berry and inner child. And I actually love clove in fragrance, such a warming note. But the “tang of a plum-wine note from davana” sounds amazing! Thank you for the generous giveaway. I am in the USA.

  • this sounds so nostalgic. ☺️. i know i say that with many of the fragrances- & they are- but, this one is like being back under a willow tree, playing in the woods, when we were younger! hiding from the neighbor kids… ugh. times of my life! i love the duality of the fragrance- how it was intended to be made to help someone remember their childhood & at the same time feel the presence of the moment & adulthood they are in currently. that beautiful transition from childhood to adulthood- what a beautiful memory trail to have in your mind. i would be so curious to smell this fragrance, to be able to experience the younger notes, to the matured. this is another beautiful tribute to a sacred human experience- i would absolutely love to try it! thank you for the review & contribution. i am in colorado- the us.

  • Mitti Parfums Rani-Pink sounds like an olfactory love letter to an idealized time and place and a journey to adulthood. The berry and plum notes with a bubblegum flourish speak to optimism and youth with the spice, vanilla and cedar wood bringing depth and maturity. MD, USA.

I love fragrances that are connected to memories and stories, and so I’m really intrigued by how this one connects different parts of the lifespan. That bottle is also so cool!

  • I love the packaging design they developed for Mitti; it appears both vintage and modern-colorful all at once, with a nod to the founders’ heritage, and those bottles are spectacular. Really interesting illustration style. Rani-Pink has a ton of personality, with those bubblegum and sour berry notes over rich vanilla and cedarwood, bringing a lot of contrast. It sounds like a joy to wear and more mature than an initial read of the notes list would suggest. Very cool.

  • That has the magic touch. I’m impressed with the packing and it’s specialized accents. The poet scripted on the back I mean. Nostalgia and nuance coupled confidently leaving it’s admirers puzzled. That’s only the beginning I can simply wonder if the scent comes a close second to what it entails, but I’m sure it’s on par for its personality and is something special. Big presence in a small package. Enjoyed the read and the backstory. From USA.

The packaging and bootle design of the perfumes from Mitti Perfume are stunning! I love that these fragrances are a travelogue of India. Rani-Pink sounds intriguing because of the narrative, The opening of the fragrance, with the sour berry note, recalls childhood. Then we move along to an adult perspective with the vanilla and cedar wood notes. We can remember growing up with this fragrance.
