    What appealed to me most about Sunset Hour Dark Peach is the contrast between the juicy Australian peach and that warm, boozy rum accord. I love fragrances where a fruity note doesn’t just smell sweet, but has texture and depth. It feels like a richer, darker and more sensual evolution of the original Sunset Hour.

    The note breakdown seems right up my alley. Even though it’s a top note on this fragrance, anything with rum is automatically on my list. Btw it’s kinda weird this is called dark peach with no peach in the breakdown lol. We’ll see how it is.

    The description of the Sunset Hour Dark Peach sounded amazing, but Steven’s review sold me! Juicy and sweet peach, yet dark, resinous, and “rummy” sounds divine. If it is a DNA that Steven says is “him” I know I will like it, if past experience holds true. I only have tried one Goldfield and Banks – Pacific Rock Moss – and absolutely love it so would be thrilled to experience this one. What an exciting and generous giveaway!     How curious that the banner note, the Quandong Desert Peach, isn’t listed for this flanker. It does sound like it has threads of the original scent translated to a darker version. Hmm. In PacNW USA.

    Fruits and white florals were my introduction to fragrance, and it’s taken me nearly 20 years to come full circle back to them. While I’ve always appreciated a juicy and effervescent scent, those with more “bass and oomph” tend to beckon more to me. I’m so curious to see how this peach accented by mandarin and anchored by rum and these ambers will unfurl. It sounds utterly sumptuous and richly divine!

    I am very interested to see how Goldfield and Banks treats the peach note. I love what Guerlain does with peach in Pêche Mirage, but all other peach fragrances have been disappointing (to me). Goldfield and Banks is such a quality brand, I imagine Sunset Hour Dark Peach will be a masterpiece. I love how the writeup captures that hopeful time of anticipation “just before twilight fades into night. ”

    Ohhh man, this sounds amazing! I have been dying to try out the house of Goldfield & Banks. I’ve heard great things about “Sunset Hour Dark Peach”, and this company in general. The notes in this fragrance are right up my alley too—Ginger, Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Rum, etc. etc. And with fall approaching, thankfully the suffocating heat where I reside in South Carolina will soon be replaced by a brisk breeze. Sunset Hour Dark Peach sounds like it would pair beautifully with the fall weather! I would be so elated to own a bottle of this juice!

    I am a sucker from Rum and Vanilla fragrances. Toss in some peach…. I love Island Lush from Goldfield and Banks and believe this would be another fantastic offering. A must have for summertime fun in the sun and beyond. I do live in the US and basically in 9 months of heat. So this would be amazing.

    Steven’s review had me hooked from the opening spray! I loved how vividly he described the dry down, calling it juicy, sweet, ripe, succulent and painting the picture instantly. And breaking down how the rum, vanilla, tonka bean, and woody ambers all work in harmony instead of clashing is exactly the detail that helps someone decide. It was also great hearing his honesty that the original Sunset Hour wasn’t his DNA, then explain why Dark Peach is totally different. Hearing he’d buy it on the spot if he smelled it in a boutique? That’s the highest praise. Thanks for another fantastic review.

    I enjoyed the reviews by Steven and how this fragrance has a lean into the darker my heft weight of fragrance notes. The subtle spice of the Jamaican rum the pink berries and the peach. This evokes the twilight of Summer for me. A last cocktail as you watch the sunset before the cool breeze is whispering the end of summer but the smell of citrus and spice and peach proclaim it’s not over yet. NY, USA

    I don’t own the original Sunset Hour but I do remember it being like a soft, beachy, solar fragrance. In my opinion that one steered more on the feminine side but this new iteration, despite the Peach mention on the name, it’s definitely more unisex if not borderline masculine. The addition of the rum and the overall peach sensation it has (despite not having a peach note), really takes you on by the boozy-ness. Rum on a “tropical scent” really takes it to another level because it adds to the atmosphere of being by the beach enjoying a drink. A great scent to take on vacation to a tropical destination and I have the feeling lots of people are going to be asking the question: what scent are you wearing, you smell incredible. I’m located in the USA.

    I am with Steven — the OG Sunset Hour wasn’t my favorite from the line (that goes to Silky Woods and Silky Woods Elixir, with an honorable mention to Ingenious Ginger), but this flanker sounds *perfect* for this lover of deep, sweet, warm ambery autumnal scents, ginger and stone fruits. I can’t wait to smell this.

    After watching Steven’s review, I’m now very interested in trying Goldfield & Banks Sunset Hour Dark Peach. Peach is a note I like in fragrances. In this one, it seems like different notes might amount to a juicy peach accord, i.e. if peach itself is not a note. Steven’s description of Sunset Hour Dark Peach was very helpful, and so was his enthusiasm for it. So far, my favorite from Goldfield & Banks is Bohemian Lime. I live in MD, USA.

    Nice review! I haven’t yet found a peach fragrance that works for me, so I have high hopes for this one. Ingenious Ginger is already in my collection, and I have sampled Pacific Rock Moss and Bohemian Lime, so one way or another, I will absolutely get my nose on Sunset Hour Dark Peach!

    omg! this fragrance has had me enamored since i heard about it! i love that steven describes it as succulent & sweet- the crimson sun… the golden hour turned to dusk… ugh! i have never tried the brand, but, this one would be the one i would dream to try from them! steven really sells it, also, as he always does! already enamored & then, i become even more so. :). i am such a sucker for woody, for amber, vanilla, peach… so, for myself, this fragrance sounds remarkable!

    Given my experiences with rum in college, I wasn’t expecting that to be what sold me on this, but here we are. Peach can sometimes go a little too sweet for me, so the idea of adding rum, ginger, vanilla, and woody amber makes this sound much richer and more grown-up. I also like that it seems to shift from that juicy fruit feeling into something warmer as the evening goes on. This sounds like a really fun fragrance to wear in the fall!

    The idea of taking Sunset Hour’s juicy peach and soaking it in rum sounds freaking delicious! I love bright, fruity perfumes that melt into something warmer and creamier, so the ginger, benzoin, vanilla, and tonka sound like the perfect way to carry that glowing sunset feeling into the night. “Deeper, warmer, and more addictive” pretty much sold me on this one!     I’m really curious about the idea of a “dark peach.” Peach can easily become too sweet for me, so the contrast with rum, ginger and woody amber is what makes this one interesting.     Given the note list, I can understand why Goldfield and Banks Sunset Hour Dark Peach is considered a warm scent. The yellow ylang and ginger, orange mandarin, pink berries and amber are all reminiscent of the sky at sunset. Rum and vanilla add to the addictive quality. MD, USA

    What immediately captured my attention about Sunset Hour Dark Peach is the boozy, resinous twist on a juicy fruit profile. As someone who loves warm-weather fruits backed by ambery bases—like my favorites Citizen Jack Absolute and Vulcan Feu. hearing reviews describe this Jamaican rum, benzoin, and dark peach accord makes it sound like the ultimate evolution of that DNA. I haven’t smelled it yet, but it would truly crown my collection as my very first full-bottle niche, becoming my go-to anchor for golden hour and evening wear.

    I love a good boozy fragrance, but I haven’t tried on that focuses on rum, and I love the evocative “atmosphere of sunset drifting into dusk” theme. Dimitri mentioned “all the ingredients of Sunset Hour infused in rum”, but I’m not familiar with the original Sunset Hour, so Steven’s comparisons were helpful; “It bears resemblance to the original”, and you can see where the comparison comes from, but this new fragrance is it’s own thing. It sounds like this juicy peach and spicy Jamaican rum is plenty sweet and decadent, but balanced out by the woodiness and density of the amber and tonka. This will be exceptionally cozy on a cold winter evening.

It’s nice to know that all of the notes are so well-blended that nothing clashes and the peach doesn’t dominate. Overall, it sounds like a great fragrance for the upcoming fall and winter months!     Flankers are a bit testy for me, but this brand has received a lot of great coverage and reviews and so I trust you both!!! Peach season for a peach lover this year has been a bit unpredictable. Sounds to me like rum can help these notes really sing, much like brown sugar kicks peach slices up a notch. Sunset Hour Dark Peach is a lovely-sounding blend and I’m eager to smell how the rum and amber play together. Thank you for this offer!

    Hailing from Florida and I am a big fan of sweeter boozy fragrances. I do think it is interesting that peach isn’t one of the notes even though it is in the name. I am hoping peach is prominent though and shines through in the profile.
